I don't really understand why the Mod (OAM4j) is hounding Sincere 9gerian on thread titling. Or would it have suffice to start a thread with different heading and one's own content and backed it up with a newspaper report? We have seen different news source choose to report same stories in different headings. How about in case where the original title of the newspaper report is misleading, who checks or censor them? The link below is an example of misleading news media heading: http://247ureports.com/ohanaeze-youths-on-war-path-with-igbo-elders-over-gifts-from-mr-president/ Not a single mention of 'gift' let alone the type, was in the body of the news. Yet it was ran with such sensational heading. The same heading was used to create this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1558201/ohanaeze-youths-war-path-igbo We didn't see any Mod complain about the misleading newspaper heading. What do we do under this circumstance? Furthermore, publicly warning (or threatening) a poster is also counter productive - it create tension, and resistance. It would suffice to point at the relevant section(s) of the forum rules breached and apply necessary sanction. If warning is needed, let it be done privately. |
@Topic Of course she didn't cos she a fake Iyabo! |
Both Iyabos should appear on TV to confirm or deny the story. But like a few others have noted, Vanguard News have more integrity than that Sowere rag-tag gossip site - Sahara reporter. |
@op, One of the snipers has just fired a rocket propelled grenade at a 'powerful' politician. Check it out: Sniper Missile: Iyabo to Obasanjo You are one of those petty people who think the progress and success of another takes from you. You try to overshadow everyone around you, before you and after you. You are the prototypical “Mr. Know it all”. You’ve never said “I don’t know” on any topic, ever. Of course this means you surround yourself with idiots who will agree with you on anything and need you for financial gain and you need them for our insatiable ego. This your attitude is a reflection of the country. |
Op, She also said of Obasanjo: You are one of those petty people who think the progress and success of another takes from you. This your attitude is a reflection of the country.Would you add that to list of the grouse while at it? |

Who doesn't know Obasanjo is a liar, a vindictive, manipulative, selfish hypocrite. It wouldn't be too far from the truth to say he caused his daughter all sorts of pains in her short political stint. If her daughter can 'disown' him now, why should discerning people ever wonder while Jonathan, and Yar Adua before him, did want anything to do with him. Obansanjo stands for nothing, but for himself. Even APC should trust him at their own peril! |
wirinet: Biafran Igbos and militant Ijaws have one thing in common - chest beating. They pound their chest louder than a silver back gorilla trying to show he is the alpha male.Go ahead and have your coup. Only this time ensure that the coupists are led by a yoruba general. Bottom line, if there is coup now, the military will most certainly be divided. There is not two ways about it. |
Ola Johnson: The govt does not necessarily need a failed coup to shake it, just the demonstration of the SNG will do just that.I saw them inhaling tear gas in Ojota. By the way where is Bakare now? Has he stopped cursing buhari? |
Ola Johnson: Maybe you should remind us how Odumegwu Ojukwu escaped from "Biafra" in the guise of seeking peace. Why did he insist he must be the one to seek whereas his aides were the ones hitherto seeking peace? He stood his ground for close to three years. Besides we have discuss that here endlessly. No we are talking about what a coup could do to the country, do you mind sticking to the topic? |
Ola Johnson: I've not said anybody is planning to kill him in a coup. FYI it is not all coups that are bloody. The ones of 1975 and 1985 are bloodless.Whether bloody or bloodless, get your boys in the Army to plot and execute it, or forever remain silent and coward. No one is going to do yorubas dirty job for them. Do it yourself! |
Abagworo: These 3 things are the things Jonathan failed to do. Go back to 2009 when he assumed office and read what. Most people expected of him.1. Nigeria has ever been polarised, there is no better time to talk than now that the cracks are re-emerging, that's what I believe the national conference is about. 2. Whether base on the existing state or regions, is better than current system. 3. Oduah committed no crime. Such justice should start from past military heads of states, the Tinubu, Obj, and Buhari the murderer etc. I bet you won't go there. |
Abagworo: Assuming there's a coup, who will be the ones to fight the military? Is it Afam? All the trade unions be it ASUU, NLC, NMA, NBA, ASUP etc are already craving for regime change, so all I foresee is a nationwide jubilation if such a divine intervention occurs. So go ahead and organise one. But don't complain when you start hearing, it's hausa/fulani coup, or yorooba coup! Funny that some folks still don't know the Nigeria of 2013. The subsidy protest taught them nothing. |
ndu_chucks: Given the position of this Eze and his likes, it is safe to say that these people will welcome a coup as a way to get them their biafran dream. We will welcome: 1. Restructuring of the country in line with true fiscal federalism 2. Regionalism with weak central government 3. A fair and just Nigeria, or 4. Biafra If a coup can guarantee any of these, by all mean let it happen. But I sincerely doubt an Igboman will be the trigger man. Ndu_chucks, over to your people (hausa/fulani) or the Yoroobas. To be fair, I think other major tribes have had a fair share of leading coupists, it's the yorooba turn. Let's see if they are just indeed all mouth and no action! ![]() |
Ola Johnson: If as fortified as military men like JTU Aguiyi-Ironsi, Yakubu Gowon, Murtala Muhammad and Muhammadu Buhari were and were overthrow, the President can also be overthrown in a coup.So what's stopping you guy? No yorooba general to pull the trigger? |
Raggedy_Ann: It's clear to everyone how volatile the situation is. That's why I think they would not risk a coup. They wouldn't risk a war where they didn't have the legitimacy of Government, thereby becoming rebels and losing sympathy from the West. Impeachment is the only option.Even that is not an option. It will lead to same or similar situation. It should be noted that the campaign to oust the President start shortly after he was elected. As such any abrupt impeachment will be inflame already charged situation. A poster once asked: Who will carry out the impeachment order? What if he refuses, and the Army (or section of it) is loyal to him? I rather boko haram blow themselves up if they can live with a southern president from a minority tribe. Anyway, GEJ has performed far more better all several past president, including the epistle writer. He thus deserve a second term. |
eGuerrilla: The emboldened portion of your post is noted.@bolded Fair enough, and perhaps use that line more often to maintain your 'neutrality.' Enemy? Amorphous one? Care to elaborate? |
eGuerrilla: (1) That I regularly criticize Jonathan's failings does not make me an APC supporter.I didn't even know u you regularly criticize GEJ's failing. That's your prerogative. However, you called out only Jonathan's supporters of intolerance to dissenting views, does that not imply that APC supporters are tolerant of opposing views? If that is not the case, wouldn't it be fair to suggest you are taking sides? Does such suggestion mean you are an APC supporter, or is that the cap simply fit? Afam is Mod, and Afam is Afam. Is there a rule that said that Mods should not express their views? Or if such views does not fit into your worldview it automatically make such Mod unworthy of being a Mod? But if Afam criticizes Jonathan, he becomes a good Mod? When Jarus was a Mod, he created a Buhari support thread run-up to the last general election, heaven did not fall. Some of you guys think you are so smart, even when hypocrisy drips in every line you write. |
ckkris: Not just a dissenting opinion Sir. Obasanjo is clearly instigating the military to overthrow a democratically elected Government. That's why I suggests he use the yorooba boys in the army. Are they not man enough? Who does he want to do his dirty job? |
eGuerrilla: Unbelievable Afam4eva!That is to say the die-hard APC goons here are any better when it comes to tolerating opposing views. And you think you are above board after taking sides? |
payless:If I belonged to Anger and Pain Contraption (APC), I'll be very worried about my health. A 'partyless' man like me need not worry about partisan politics. |
payless: Rubbish! I don't need you to cynically bring up my wife here. Keep your advise to your damn self, Ibo man. My wife came to your attention due to Ezeachi's (an Igbo man) illness that cost him his leg. My lovely wife is doing really well. As a matter of fact, she does anything just like anyone else. The grumpy old man has lost all the respect in the world. Where were you when the old man was looking for trouble?Glad to know that your wife is 'doing really well'. Be careful though about your BP, man. It's rising! |
The Op is spot on. A little spark is needed to ignite the fodders. The loud mouthed ones have been shouting atop their voice for how long now, and have written 18 pages epistle yet no one pay them mind. Perhaps it time to put their money where their mouth is, or forever remain 'cowards'. |
TRUTHTELA: Many of these ignorant e-rats that will sit behind a computer and will be clamoring for Jonathan's impeachment as if it's a walk in the park. You have to read into the political history of Nigeria, then you proceed to the reality of Nigeria being a THIRD world country, with a complex ethnic and religious issues that should be handled with the utmost CARE.Yes I have to quote the whole article cos it's well articulated and straight to the point! Well done op! |
payless: Grumpy old man that I spent my time on Sunday correcting his grammar is here talking sh1t. Your children bought your burial site 20 years ago but you refuse to go. Your first child is almost 70 and your are still here collecting dust. Are you waiting for your oldest son to die before you die?Your mates have died while you're still here collecting dust. You have become a nuisance to the society that pays your pension. Are you not the same fellow who spoke about some health challenge with his wife, and you are here wishing someone ill. A man who live in glass house shouldn't be throwing stones. I think you should consider devoting more time to your wife. More than anything now, she needs you! |
Nice one. |
Thanks eGuerrila for putting things in perspective. Glad to know it was not a gallivanting trip, as our yorooba brother would have us believe. Like I said, such meetings are always better than current rambling and rumbling in our jungle. @Ohanaze Well done. @Ohaneze Youth, Channel your grouse properly. |
Still waiting to hear the agenda of the meeting. I can't even find a mention of 'gift' in the body of the mischievous thread. I think such meetings are better that those threatening fire and brim stones, and corrupt general writing epistles founded on lies and deceits. Yet all l I see here for now are kids mostly Yorubas trying to outdo themselves for the title of the biggest ethnic bigot! |
Op, I feel your 'pain'. It certainly not acceptable for that boy without shoes, who trekked miles to school probably on empty stomach to rule over those of us who had assorted shoes to match our various clothings with the privilege of been dropped at school in air conditioned cars driven by our parents' chauffeurs. Op, he must not only go, but go back to his canoe and life of a fisher man. We couldnt care less if he had good water to fish or not. He must simply go - Now! We are the one destined to rule, never him. He's an aberration. Look at his hat and demeanour, we smile better and wear better caps. Throw the dirts fellow, pass judgment, it doesn't have to be factual, but since it's him it's plausible. He must go! My name is 'born to rule'. I approve this message! |
ekt_bear: OK, so you seem to accept the first number ($65 billion), but not the latter. The argument of the NNPC is that the oil revenue accrue to the Nation through various agencies whose accounts are also held by the CBN. NNPC is responsible for a faction of those remittance The DPR and FIRS are responsible for the rest. Now NNPC according the CBN has remitted $15 Billion. It is their (NNPC) position that the balance of the accrual should be in the DPR and FIRS remittance, as is the procedure. What is expected now is for the remittances from the DPR and FIRS to be factored into the discourse and the picture will be clearer. Either Sanusi doesn't understand this flow, too lazy to find out or simply being mischievous. Whichever way it's a shoddy business. |
Nice one op. Thanks for putting the figures in perspective. Apparently Sanusi has no idea about the size of the national budget in dollar term. If he did, he wouldn't have made such kindergarten lie in alluding that the a Ministry stole more than the national budget, yet the nation didn't notice for over a year. Interesting... |
egift: ^^^Of course he is amply qualified. He holds a Masters Degree in Islamic Studies from a University in Sudan. |
