I don't know why people are railing against the op. There are threads open to discuss the Obj letter, this is simply another one to scrutinize his character. I believe both thread should be allowed to run side by side and discussed on their merit. @op, well done. @Topic In few words, Obj is a very deceitful man. He is a well known liar! |
What is apparent in this saga is that someone clearly does not know his job. Why didn't sanusi consult with his managers before writing to the I said it in one thread and would repeat it. If it is established that Sanusi misled the public, he should be made to appear on national tv and airwaves to recant and dispel his dangerous rumour after which he should be sacked for incompetence. He is a loose cannon. |
berem: Gesture indeed! What has gesture got to do with the improvements of the standard of living of my people? How many people's lives where transformed after the state burial? The only thing Jonathan knows is to seek for attention and do nothing all for the sake of 2015 in Igbo land. He has done nothing to earn him another massive votes if he decides to contest in 2015. You guys should stop living in ignorance and wake up!!Apparently, you did not read my post completely. If you did, you didn't understand it. It such a shame that I have to ask you to go back and re-read before your next response. |
taharqa: @gregtochi, God bless you...A well earned prayer. And like you noted, the Thisday version is even more clearer. Sanusi is either clearly confused or deliberately mischievous. Were I to be the president, I would send him to all state and some privately own TV and Radio stations go and personally retract his damaging publication. After which I will sack him. He (Sanusi) has overstayed his usefulness. |
berem: So giving state burials to Ojukwu and Achebe is now an achievement bestowed on Igbos? Oh lord save Ndi Igbo from their gullibilty and ignorance! Chai! Not necessarily an achievement, but it was a kind gesture. Something an Northern or yorobar president wouldn't have done. Some small gestures like that actually go a long way. That said, it is important that GEJ be reminded to keep his several promises, not only to the SE but to other zones that he made promises to. If resources available makes it inevitable for some promises not to kept, genuine and transparent efforts must be made to explain the situation and reassurance given. Nothing and no zone should be taken for granted. |
ndu_chucks: Great question. This meeting shows how out of control and ineffective GEJ really is. The man has lost control of his own party, otherwise he would have made sure that this meeting does not take place as planned. Since he did not stop the meeting, GEJ should immediately suspend OBJ from PDP for anti party activities. ko kwa?I will not rule out the possibility that GEJ allow the meeting to hold to gain more intelligence on the next line of action of Obj. The game is still on. |
ballabriggs: How did he handle the banking crisis biko? Can you throw more light on this?He created a bigger crisis by his lack of tact in dealing with the challenges he met. A clear off-shoot of his deficiency in knowledge needed to manage sensitive sector he found himself in. A better manager would have achieved similar even better result without overheating the sector and creating massive lack of confidence. Clearly Sanusi has not learnt anything from his past mistakes. Thiat is why we are here looking for what is not lost because Sanusi does understand the sensitivity of his job. |
Abagworo: Are you saying Sanusi just became CBN governor last year? He noticed a particular pattern in a period which shocked him and necessitated the letter. He has been there for long.I am saying that he doesn't know his job. From his handling of the banking crisis, donating CBN money to state and cronies, and this among others. Sanusince does not know his job, because he is not amply qualified to hold the post. He noticed a pattern that has been in existence since Jan 2012. Pray tell, what the f**k was he waiting for? What did he do to find out and correct whatever anomaly he noticed. Why did he have to wait for close to 2 years before voicing out. It is my opinion that he is confused, because he lacked the skill set, and knowledge to know any better. Again, this is what happen when a dedicated Islamic scholar is in charge of an apex bank. |
In what capacity? |
Aww, old news, yet a sordid reminder of the character of the person called obasanJo. A man without honour, shame or decorum. An ape incapable of keeping his libido in check. But what is it with 'these people' and incestious lifestyle. Dig this: While Obj was busy shagging his daughter-in-law, Fani 'Ode was posing with the near na.ked picture of his own daughters - in their room and cyberspace. It's not difficult to imagine what happened in betweEn. Something is definitely wrong with the way some of my yoruba friends are brought up. Just hope it's not too late to rewire their genes. |
The value of Z is goodluck or better still Goodluck! Reason is as clear as daylight! |
emmydeep: It is very clear that sanusi is extremely missinformed or just bein used by the Northern elements to cause confussion.I am inclined to agree with you. Sanusi either doesn't have full grasp of the flow (doesn't know his job) or is simply being mischievous for political gain. Either way, too bad! This is what happen when an Islamic scholar is in charge of an apex bank. |
^^^ There is nothing like that. hahaha ![]() |
B.L.S:I stand by my initial submission that a total restructuring of the country remains the best solution to whatever 'perceived' quagmire the country is facing. Railing against the president daily is simply barking up the wrong tree. What about the judiciary, and the parliament? what about the governors and the counselor? I know you will most likely argue that the buck stops with the president, well, that we'll need the 'bulk' to shift away from the presidency. |
OAM4J: This makes a lot more sense than your initial argument. This is Nigeria politics and some things don't change overnight, but through a long, carefully well thought out plan. Like it or hate it, the North seems to be ahead of The South in planning and executing well thought out strategy. Reason I laugh when people think the Northerners are illiterates and unwise.Pray say, how did he burn his bridge with to the SW? As for 2015, I see him winning though as Nigeria national elections are not conducted in cyberspace. All he need is massive assault on the airwave shortly before the election and of course the quality of the opposition candidate! |
ImHotep-X:We'll see about that. There is still enough time to make or mar the country. I'll take whichever come first. For now, let's keep inching towards the National Conference the establishment detest. The cacophony of noise will be treated for what it is - noise! They'll shut up when they shout themselves hoarse. This too shall pass, as we gallop faster to 2019! |
ImHotep-X:It has always been like that - Nigeria politics. There is nothing happening now that is new. Even if GEJ were to leave power and the Hausa/Fulani (core North) take the reigns, eventually power will drift back to the South, and history will repeat itself. Baseline argument remains that Nigeria MUST change, must restructure. This can't be achieved by doing business as usual. Was it a risky strategy for GEJ to break bond with the 'mafia'? Yes! Was it the right thing to do? Certainly Yes! Now what Nigerian's need to do is to stand by him, and support him to break this yoke needed to reposition the country's fortune. But sadly, most are not seeing the bigger picture, they are carried away by propaganda fueledl by ethnic hatred and intolerance. Fortunately, there are those who are willing to stand by him to help him navigate periods like this. And we say again, this too shall pass, and GEJ will remain till 2019. |
ImHotep-X:Sleeper cell and coup indeed. Anyway, I welcome a coup. We all know how that will pan out. They hijacked Boko Haram, huh? Well, they should equally embrace it, caress it, and f__k it. That's their lot. Boko Haram as is presently constituted is more of a disadvantage to the North if anything. I bet the EU like the face of the Kenyan, Sudanese, and maybe Zimbabwe President? And that has stopped them being President?. Let them come and cast their votes in Nigeria. Rubbish! In the end, it is what Nigerians decides that counts. So far, Nigerian will rather:1. Have GEJ continue, 2. Restructure the country 3. Dismantle the country. So far the President's 'body language' and indeed 'body of languages' point those direction, to the chagrin professional politicians.I'll give coins to aid any of three outcome. |

And this too shall pass, but GEJ will remain till 2019! There are many cards in the playing deck! |
Satanic letter indeed. Couldn't have termed it better! |
** scratches head ** Is it Obasanjo? ![]() |
The op is right to some extent. Obj and co should offer to do time in prison as atonement for their sins. The president should simply oblige them or facilitate it. Either way, its only fair the players get burnt for the wrong moves. |
Perhaps the question is where do we go from here? Succour with the 'children of anger' is definitely a big NO as pitching tent with APC is akin to jumping from frying pan to the fire itself - judging from the disparate collection of desperate characters that peopled the party. What need to be done is a complete restructure of the country - weakening the center and decentralizing governance And enthronment of ful resource control. If such is not tenable, I vote for continuity, let the ship sink. It's a make or mar! |
Just find the darn thing or clarify The situation. No need for drama. |
Compare to the crooks gathering in APC, GEJ is a saint. So far, there is no credible opposition. GEJ is it in 2015 and beyond. Haters should 'go and die!' |
Interesting... I am also preparing to become the President of United States from the moon. ![]() Next poster, what are you preparing for? |
So why did Obj nominate GEJ as Vice President in the first place? Didn't he see GEJ primarily as an Ijaw man who will calm the militancy in the Niger Delta or did he see him as a 'weakling' he could easily manipulate? I am constrained to believe that Obj is angry because he couldn't get what he want - control of the presidency. Obj supervised the worst elections in Nigeria history, under the notorious 'do and die' politics. It is this same Obj who came out from prison with less than N20000 in his account, only to own multi-million business concern soon after. Was it not same Obj who gave Nigeria $16 billion worth of darkness after 8 years? The argument on polarisation of the country along ethnic line is true, but it if Nigeria has been a united country where equity and fairness has been long enthrone, this so-called polarisation wouldn't have had the ground to breed. Personally, I prefer a country where everyone who has a grudge is allowed to express them, rather than one which pretends all is well. Truth be told, GEJ is not perfect, he has many flaws, and could have done a few things in different way. But on the balance of things, he is a much better President than all past presidents - Obj included. |
kettykin: Jonathan is a weak president other wise this fool called Obj who squandered N16b tax payers money on a fluke power project, who used his office to organise the worst set of rigging in Anambra where Andy Uba was declared winner in an election that didn't hold, whose daughter was caught in embezzlement of N10b health fujd, who used EFCC to victimise governors he doesn't like, who closed down businesses of igbo men for no meaningful reasons, who issued oil blocks to all manner of people as he was the minister for petroleum should be behind barsMy thoughts exactly. |
Let them be, even if they are not Nigerians. |
A Mod is simply another toy for Seun's pleasure. So who cares whether Berem or bereft is made one. |

What has "Mungo Park" and his fallacies got to do with this?
