MightyThor: You dey mind Osundefender? They arethe new mouth piece of Yorubad hate campaign for against Igbos! |
Personally I see nothing to be afraid of. Nigerians should learn to stare down the Hausa/Fulani arrogance! Violence is yet to be monopolized by any individual or group of individuals. Same goes for rhetoric! |
Wale112: abi half naija and half Ghana. But Ghana better pass naija we take electricity for granted in Ghana.Nice. But it's Photoshopped! |
You don't have to say it, we know what supporter of APC is all about? |
Abeg did he weep profusely while reading the prepared text? I learn the guy is now called the crying-general-of-crocodile's-tears! |
Without even spending a dime to protest "puff" goes Fashola's insidious and invidious resident registration. Thanks to Imo and Kano state bungled (counter) registration exercise. |
From amala, to cooked rice, from bagged rice to recharge card, and now kerosene for vote; South West, nay, Yorubad politicians are disgracing themselves and indeed ridiculing the country. Shameless set of people! |
Not bad. But sure more can and should be done! |
Which Odua group is this? ![]() Can we hear from Afenifere? |
In other words, ' Alea iacta est!' (The die is cast!) |
Clerverly: You beat me to it!Guy, you seem to be the naive one in here. Hausa are part of the population on the North; they by no means constitute the entire of North. And there are huge number of (Northern minority) people who are tired of the born to rule mentality of the Hausa/Fulani. These people will certainly vote according to their interest, even as some of Hausa may prefer Jonathan to say Lamido or Buhari! |
But people are talking about all the issues he raised every day, even here on Nairaland? How does he mean by people are not talking? Or is there any particular voice he wants to hear? Soldiers are also fighting and dying every now and then trying to curb the security challenge? How could he say nothing is being done? Is is that these sacrifices by the soldiers amount to nothing? By the way, can he tell us what he has done as Governor of his state? |
Basically Nigerians have been consuming shoes, belts, and hand-bag and co in gargantuan proportion. Time to say no to pomo!! |
SW intelligentsia and the their sophisticated rice democracy en-route the enthronement of stomach infrastructure as the ultimate basis for (re)election campaign! Soon, it won't be a matter of what policy you are bringing to the table, rather what brand of rice, size, and quantity can you afford before the election. I hope this sad and shameful malaise is curtailed before it gains traction, and spread to other parts of the country. |
ilugunboy: What you are indirectly asking for is that all federal goverment workers should be redeployed to their regions....you may not know that however.I said if it's established that those folks are aiding and abetting terrorism that something should be done. And if the solution means temporary redeployment, then so be it. In any case, these CPs are not the only non-indigene in federal government employment in the SE region. So your submission is a no case. Paramount now in SE, and it should be in SW, and other region is curtailing of the current security threat we all face. Pussy-footing, and theorizing will hand initiative to these devil's agent who will stop at nothing in their bid to spread terror. So yes, if redeploying these CPs will ensure security in the SE, it should be done URGENTLY! |
idupaul: Exactly!!!!!!! Suprised people are even taking sides with our rude policeEven if the road block shouldn't be there, it gives no one (let alone a foreigner) the right to punch our policemen who are simply following orders - doing their job! An attack on our uniform men is an attack on Nigeria! |
If it's established that some of these CPs have been shielding terrorists and terror suspects, then I support the call for them to be redeployed. It is essential this is done quickly to prevent possible breakdown of law and order that could potentially occur in the event of terror attack in the SE. These CPs should be redeployed at least until boko haram terrorists are completely eliminated, and their sleeper cells identified and uncovered. |
lynpetra: I love your sarcasm. And I like you too! |
IdomaLikita: You will live long!As will you my brother. |
oduastates: The policeman should thank is god because the diplomat has the right to kill him and walk away scot freelol, You mean he will pull the trigger faster than our trigger-happy policemen? Let me laff in Arabic! ![]() |
And there was no 'accidental discharge'? ![]() Had it been a 'danfo' driver or an 'okada' rider, it would have been a different story. |
He's there gone to eat fried fish and drink ogogoro! Who begs a clueless man? ![]() |
tarryT: Finally, Gbawe has letting it out. This is good for his rehabilitation. The grief is so much and any attempt to suppress it will amount to further depression. Please cry more, don't hold it back, let the tears flow.Brutally blunt! ![]() |
This case is simply and exercise of academic futility. Let's assume APC win the case and the court bar the President from sending the military to provide security during election, will such restraint prevent the military from conducting say a 'counter-insurgency' or 'unspecified national security' operations as directed by the commander-in-chief. How about redeploying the DPO, sending another with massive contingent of MOPOL? Like I said, this exercise is simply futile, it leaves more loopholes than the one it sought to address! |
luvmijeje: In addition, they should also spare us, it's because Jonathan is from the minority and also because he's a christian. This is a political war and all is fair in war.But 'all is fair in war' you say. So if that weapon is effective, why do you intend to deny your opponent their weapon? |
When he saw the impeachment train coming in his direction, he declared a meaningless two-day holiday and never showed up before the panel to defend his integrity. He spent the last few weeks considerably sobered up and he even backtracked on the fierce stance he had earlier taken on the politics of the Boko Haram war when he delivered a speech in Washington DC in March. He was also quick to absolve the Presidency of its woes. None of those placatory measures could save him, however.A lucid description of a man who is not only clueless, but lacks personal conviction and integrity as well; an apt description of a man with plenty skeletons in his closet! If not, why didn't he turn-up at that panel to defend his position, and bring to attention of Nigerians whatever plot he think has been hatched against him? Why did he try to frustrate such plans with his kindergarten holiday declaration, amongst others? Anyway for what it's worth, Nyarko has exonerated the President from the consequence of his local politics, I only wonder why APC supporters are now crying more than the bereaved. |
Even if APC win, it will be nothing but a Pyrrhic victory. The President doesn't have to deploy soldiers to provide security during election, but he could deploy them for 'unspecified' exercise to any part of the country at any point in time. He is the commander-in-chief, stu--pid! ![]() |
Knowing Nigeria very well, I expect this matter to drag in the court until the expiration of their tenure. No easy way out... |
@Op, How will the new id gather points without posting? And least assume they'll gather points by browsing through section(s) reading, when the run out patience and leave, how will that help Seun's business? I think the diversity of this site is good, it gives voice to different angles, and all sides. I fail to see the wisdom in asking Seun to sacrifice that natural instinct of human to give voice to their feeling which has led to the growth of his site, on the altar of regulation. My people say "Let the eagle perch and the hawk also perch." The wisdom of this saying can never be overemphasized. |
What's bad with that? After all Nigerians complain daily that all the governors are bad! |
