There are also strong rumours that Ebonyi is going with the north central. This is getting interesting.[/s]
Bros, you may laugh. But this is not time for foolishness. Ondo State want want to be sure that parasitism of Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo is not practiced in the new republic. Kindly stick to the topic or open another thread for your peculiar fantasy.

lol,

Ondo/Ekiti versus the rest of South-West. The Op is laying is bare for all, no to parasites in the new republic.

He doesn't want Ondo people to be asked to "go back to their villages/caves" in a future Yoruba country. Abeg let me take a VIP seat and watch as the fisticuffs ensue. It should be very interesting.

By the way @Op, your yorobaness is already being questioned, over to you!

PoliticsRe: The Gang Up Against Stella Oduah, By Ore Kingsley by PointB:
Stella Oduah underestimated this force or she had pre-empted them. But she must have believed that she would win most of them over by her development strides. In under two years Oduah changed the face of many airports in the country. She rebuilt many and expanded others. She completed what remained of the Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria, provided the most sophisticated weather reading equipment for the Nigeria Meteorological Agency, and acquired low level wind shear equipment, the weather Doppler radar and low level wind shear alert system which have been installed in all the airports. These equipment ensure that accurate weather data are given to the pilots. Recently the Minister acquired modern equipment for the Accident Investigation Bureau that in less than one week after the Associated flight crash the preliminary report of the accident was out.

The Minister who is expected to be praised by these “activists” who presumably love the industry because they have spent most of their years there, have nothing now but derision for her. They described her remodelling of the airport terminals as mere paint work. They said she has not done anything in the industry and they have concentrated in characterizing her only legacy in the industry as “slippery tiles.” But above all, and this is the critical point, they also accuse her of what they now characterise as “chopping” alone.
It's all getting clearer.

Those (we know them) who have appropriated the Aviation Industry to themselves are at the root of this witch-hunt. If GEJ knows what is best for him, he should simply call their bluff. I also urge the Aviation Minister to STAND HER GROUND! These people will keeping coming at her nonetheless, but she must not give in to their cheap blackmail.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's BMW Scandal: Oduah And The Triumph Of Corruption-punch NEWSPAPER EDITO by PointB:
Concealed amidst the garbage that this editorial represents, is the usual envy and frustration of Punch and it's (SW) sponsors at the commissioning of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. The real target of the Stella Oduah witch-hunt. Never has a people collectively and individually expressed such hatred and bile for fellow citizens. This country is better off divided!

But it is known that the parastatals were asked, on “instructions from above,” to raise money for unexplained “activities” relating to the opening of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, in August, for which the cash-strapped Nigerian College of Aviation Technology alone raised N5.03 million.

PoliticsRe: Embattled Stella Oduah Takes Steps To Prevent Sack, Seeks Audience With Jonathan by PointB: 8:44am On Oct 21, 2013
[s]
IamD rock: The embattled Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, has commenced last- ditch efforts to save her job.
Sources revealed that she had used the last few days seeking private audience with President Goodluck Jonathan.
On Friday for instance, she was sighted at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as calls by groups for her removal over the purchase of two BMW bulletproof cars for her by the Nigerian Civil Aviation authority heightened.
The NCAA spent a whopping $1.6m(N225m) on the two cars which market value is N36m each.
A very reliable Presidency source, who disclosed Oduah’s visit to the Villa, said she “wanted to explain herself to the President, who like every Nigerian, was embarrassed by the media reports and the evidence of the purchase of the two cars at an outrageous sum of N225m.”
The source said, “She was here (Villa) on Friday but like you know, Mr. President was busy throughout the weekend.”
When asked if Oduah eventually saw Jonathan, he replied, “I cannot tell for sure if the minister who looked worried saw him or not.”
However, the source dismissed speculations that Oduah, who is to appear before the Senate this week over the crisis facing the Aviation industry, was at the Villa to beg the President to prevent possible sanctions.
He stated that should she decide to beg, she would most likely reach out to highly placed Nigerians who have the ears of the President.
The source mentioned the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih; former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; and Ijaw National Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, as such prominent Nigerians.
Our correspondents gathered that apart from the calls from outside government circle for her sacking, some of her colleagues are believed to be telling people close to her to advise her to voluntarily quit in order to save the Jonathan administration further embarrassment.
A female minister is said to be leading the campaign as she sees this as an opportunity to get even with Oduah.
It was learnt that a female minister, who allegedly bought a private jet, has been angry that Oduah was the prime suspect in an embarrassing publication involving the leasing of the jet at outrageous sums per trips made by top government officials.
Investigations also revealed that the release of the documents on the purchase of the two vehicles was likely the fallout of infighting among female ministers in the President’s cabinet.
Meanwhile, strong indications emerged on Sunday that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission may probe the bulletproof car scandal.
A source at the EFCC said the scandal came as a shock to most of his colleagues.
The source said, “Like you and all other Nigerians, it is natural that all of us are shocked by what happened. I think you should hold it there until events unfold.”
The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, had in an interview with one of our correspondents, assured Nigerians that the President would not shield the minister if found culpable.
He had said, “I can assure you that President Jonathan will not shield the minister or any government official for that matter if he receives information that is true.”
Meanwhile, Ms. Oduah is expected to appear before the Senate as the Senate resumes plenary on Tuesday.
The Senate had summoned her and heads of parastatals under the Aviation ministry over the air accidents in the country.

The Op (OnlyTruth, Eze Ndi Igbo III Nairaland) is right, and he speaks for us, Nairaland Igbos who elected him in a free and fair election.

This ish is not about fighting corruption, as it is clear that there is no corrupt practice involved based on the explanation of the NCAA Director Fola A. This shenanigan of attempting to brute force the honorable minister to resign is part of wicked and Machiavellian practice of those aptly deemed the problem with Nigeria, by the current Central Bank Governor.

Overtime these loquacious people, pretending to be what they are not, are wont to use the pull-him-down tactics against people or project that are deem unfavorable to them. In this present administration, we have seen them harangue several hard-working ministers and government officials who are not from their zone. We have seen this done to Dezieane Allison - the Petroleum Minister, Ngozi O Iweala, Barth Nnaji (who couldn't stand it), Ihejierika the COAS and host of others. Now the same wicked tactics is being brought to bear on the Aviation Minister, who is also a stand-out performer especially in light of the ineptitude of those before her.

The idea is to ensure the President is stripped of capable individuals involved in decisive project, in order to ultimately turn the hands of clock backward, introduce confusion and then turn around in gleeful vindication that the the president is clueless, and not working. We know the drill!

I therefore join the Op, and other patriotic posters in asking the Minister to call the APC/Tinubu and some wicked yorouba people's bluff and Stand Her Ground as she done nothing wrong. These people are the problem with Nigeria indeed, with their Pull-Him-Down attitude.

#Stella Stays!

APGA is the right party to vote in Anambra. Not because it is the best, but under the present circumstances, APGA represent the only party Ndigbo can easily hold accountable due to it extensive grassroots base and support. Obiano will be made accountable to the people of Anambra. Alex position is endorsed by the Nzuko Ndigbo online council.
PoliticsRe: NCAA Bought N225m Cars For Operations by PointB: 8:22am On Oct 19, 2013
BekeeBuAgbara: While it's easy to tell princess Stella Odua to resign, I wonder why no one is calling for NCAA D.G, captain Fola Akinkuotu's head, the man who purchased the cars.
It's easy my brother. His (Fola's) people are bloody hypocrites. Same man is also responsible for aviation safety and was not employed by the minister. It easy my friend for them to call for the sack of the minister because the people we are dealing with are hateful and envious; they see no good in others and only look out for themselves. These people are our yoruba friends, treachery is a core part of their make-up.
PoliticsRe: Gov.fashola, asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Get N600 Million Bullet Proof Jeeps by PointB: 8:10am On Oct 19, 2013
You all bear witness to the duplicity and hateful our yoruba friends are. It is established that fashola cars are even more inflated even as one was purchased for the use of his godfather, yet we don't get to see the hateful and wicked people calling for fashola's resignation.

Obviously what is good for goose is not good for the gender in the tribal yorubad hypocritical world view. We are learning fast. Game on.
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah Given 72-hour Ultimatum To Resign By Anti-corruption Network by PointB: 7:57am On Oct 19, 2013
@Topic,
the bullet proof cars are again purchased for the ministry/ministers use. Unlike the one Fashola purchased for Tinubu. It appears that this particular cars happens to be cheaper than that Fashola bought for himself and Tinubu.

@Pukkah,
I won't engage your effort to derail the thread. I know your boyfriend and tribesman is hovering over this thread look for whom to ban to satisfy his untoward agenda. Even though it is obvious you have made the bulk of your post about PointB rather than the topic, you will not get a three day ban from OAM4J. And we all know the reason for that. So I won't engage your inane baiting. Open a thread about PointB and perhaps we can have that chat. Until then stay on the topic. Not on my ar/se.

I doubt same can be said of the ones Fashola purchased for himself and his Godfather. The one we dont get to see same hateful and tribal motivated people pour bile on. Bloody hypocrites!

PoliticsRe: GOV.FASHOLA,ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU GET N600 MILLION BULLET PROOF JEEPS by PointB: 7:28pm On Oct 18, 2013
Let's see what theories our yoruba friends will propound to cover this sleaze.

I wont be surprised if they argue that Tinubu and Fashola are not FG employee and that the purchase of the jeeps are covered by the State budget even as the cost is within reasonable range.

I wont be surprised if they avoid this thread altogether or try to discredit the source.

So far so good. But he shouldn't send the recommendation of the (S)NC to the the National Assembly, he should rather allow for referendum especially on the issue of true federalism, restructuring and or secession. Let's every ethnic nationalities decide what is good for them.
