Alfamann: OK Then.

I hereby appeal to the nairaland igbo election tribunal to nullyfy the ongoing process of selection of a new Eze. This process is not supported by our constitution.

Having gone through, the constitution, there is no place that it states that a bye-election should be organised in case of resignation of a sitting eze. This ommission by itself, renders the ongoing process unconstitutional, null, void and unbinding to any son or daughter of igboland.

A second appeal is the situation of ezenwanyi once an eze is out of office. The constitution did not adrress this neither but the Eze and ezenwanyi were elected together and the administration is theirs together. When one resigns, the administration automatically loses legitimacy and the remaining one loses power and his/her office must also be disolved. This will ensure that the new eze will not be burdened by the remnants of the last disorganised administration.

I hereby propose that:

1- A moratorium be declared on the ongoing bye-election process.

2- A constitutional ammendment commitee be appointed to amend the constitution to adress the issue of the process to follow in cases of resignations.

3- That the issue of what happens to an admnistration of Eze and Ezenwanyi when one of them abdicates be adressed.


Another issue is that Point B has called on Ezenwanyi to organise the rest of the election process. This also is unconstitutional and her legitimacy to organise this election is seriously in doubt.

Point be should also be reminded that he does not make the rules, his role is to make sure that the rules are followed without bias. He has no authority to make binding decisions on the rest of us. The constitution does not confer him such powers.

But I meant to say since the conclusion of phase on - nomination, Alex101 is the first to acknowledge and accept his nomination. I agree that Biafra_rep saluted us in page 28, but he never said anything about his nomination. So far only Alex101 has accepted his nomination. I do hope Biafra_rep does so formally too.

I hereby suggest that Okija juju should not be allowed to ever be nominated or run for any leadership that has anything to do with the Igbos indefinitely, given the troubles he continues enjoying causing on the Igbos as such a person has no place atall in Aligbo.

@Electoral commitee, I hope that the Biafran issues will be allowed during the questions to each leadership candidates, for the people to know and understand their honest views and how they intend to aproach certain issues as regard to Biafra.

There are rules to follow in banning an individual from contesting. I believe the most important one is establishing he/she is not Igbo. Beyond that, only the Eze in conjunction with his council member can exercise the power to ban an individual for sundry reason.

Alfamann: We, the igbo people of NL, have a constitution that does not provide for a resignation of an Eze. There is no written process to follow when an Eze resigns. The constitution guides us and we cannot pick and chose when it fits us to consult it. We must consult the constitution on such matters or throw the constitution down the toilet. Situations like this call one thing if we are serious: constitutional amendment.

The result of the nominations was provided throughout the thread in an incremental manner. If you have any problem with list released, kindly conduct your own tallying and compare.

We are waiting for the candidates to step up and accept their nominations.

Due to the fact that discussion of Manifestos/Debate/Questions and Answer will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) it is important that the acceptance speech happens today.

We are giving the right of first refusal to top candidates before considering the standby.

By the way, permit me to call the candidates to step forward and accept their nominations, and also unfold their agenda/manifestos.

Tribunal should determine this objection now to avoid "Obi vs Uba/INEC.

Thank you for your comment. I agree with you that our constitution did not cover every possible scenario; but it does anticipate that it will be implement by people who perhaps see things from various angles and not afraid of making tough call. That Okija_juju is Mad Cow is an open secret as many have said is true. But when an open secret is known to the world, there is nothing secret about it.

Specifically though, our constitution also say that 'fit and proper' individual be selected. 'Fit and Proper' grants us the right to examine the individual from many angles. We know for instance that you are also Obiora4life. Though you did not explicitly say this, but you never denied it when you challenged berem to figure out the one behind the id. We know also that the ban situation may force individuals to open new IDs, but having new ID does not equate to having a new mind or mentality.

If one ID constantly promote certainly behaviour, the possibility that the second ID will promote the same is very high, because they are controlled by one mind.

The constitution is porous, but it is a start, and we can always improve on it. But overall, this outing wasn't a disaster for it though; it did hold its ground.

We proceed to the next stage of the Election.

- The rest of day will be used for Acceptance Speeches, unfolding of program of agenda, and campaign

- Discussion of Manifestos/Debate/Questions and Answer will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) - This will be handled by the Eze Nwanyi - Ogugua (she will decide the the time)

- She will also oversee the election and announcement of result, with the support from the Electoral Body.

- The Electoral Tribunal may prepare sets of question to be answered by the top nominees

Due to the plethora of complaints and objection to his candidacy and as a consequence of background checks, I regret to announce that for the third time running, Okija_juju has been disqualified from participating in Eze Ndi Igbo election. His disqualification is due to background checks of activities of his other id known as Mad Cow. This id has been used severally to either instigate, promote or fuel bigotry and supremacy/inferiority of one Igbo state versus the other.

It is the opinion of the electoral officer that a man cannot be separated from his mind. Mad Cow and Okija_juju are the activities emanating from the mind of one man. Okija_juju earlier in this thread renounced his activity as Mad Cow, but it is too little too late.

A typical quote from Okija_juju aka Mad Cow made on Feb 19, 2013 is included below:

Biafra rep: please dont disenfranchise any eligible voter, Obiagu stepped down as a candidate and it is right that his supporters would want to jump ship, nomination is still ongoing so I dont see any reason why there change of vote would not count.

Obiagu did not step down, he just couldn't muster enough votes. Even if he did, we can't manage swapping of nomination, not in the rule and too much work to do.

Unless this is a joke there should be no place of leadership for a convicted bigot such as him.

Even a criminal after certain number of years in jail is set free. Some get to be employed even as Deputy Chairmen in party, while some get national awards.

Manny captured it correctly when he said there are lapses in our constitions which required amendment. My preference or yours cannot override our constitution. So I suggest we play by the rules.

If and when we meet again to review the constitution let come up with ideas that will patch as many loopholes as possible. For now lets concentrate on getting fresh evidence of Okija breach of the constitution unless he is a reformed man, which is what we desire.

I honestly agree with all you said, but the challenge here is that no one thought of or mentioned that when we were drawing up the constitution. How do we implement what is not written?

I think there's a section of the constitution that says, if 1/3 electorate object to someone's nomination, such person would be disqualified?

Please the house should be updated on the number of people that've raised concern on the candidacy of OnlyTruth and Okija- juju.
