"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice anywhere" "Those who sow wind, will reap whirlwind, indeed hurricane!" As Fashola and his cohorts continue with their campaign of hatred and congenital detestation for non-indigenes, especially Igbos, let them know that their scheming and devices will come to nought. In the end, he will fail miserably in this grand scheme to dispossess the poor and weak , and enrich his cronies and godfathers; whatever credibility he thinks he has, he is losing day by day. How can you hound and bound hardworking traders with security agents, with frivolous reasons, while criminals and terrorists are on the prowl? This will certainly come back to haunt him. |
alfaman1: PointB, I hope you are learning how things are done transparently. Thanks for the observation. @Manny, good work. @all Ndi Igbo please let's have your votes; it is your power, use it NOW! |
At those who claim these traders were armed with dangerous weapons, how come there is no evidence such? Why would the police and other moronic folks classified dual used object like machete, and defensive objects such as baton, wooden sticks as dangerous weapons? Parading these traders like this because Fashola failed to do his job (clean the market) is height of inhumanity of Fashola. He clearly could have approached this matter in a more professional manner. By the way, when those other markets were closed, why didn't we see them parade people like these. Or are we saying, there are no daggers, machete, etc retrieved from those markets. It is simply an act of savagery, and blatant barbarism the way these traders were treated. Fashola sooner or later will murder sleep! |
People who lived in darkness have seen a great light. ![]() What more can I say? Congratulation for celebrating the wonders of street light in 21 Century! |
manny4life: PointB and Afam,Hmmn, He doesn't have enough information in his post to complete a profile. We may need to hear from him |
Umunna, and my colleagues in the electoral commission. PointB is reporting for duty to take permission to attend to work. Will be checking in once a while. But I wont fret because Ndi Igbo are in good hands. Well done. |
Impressive. Manny, Ogugua, 9ja_I_hail thank you all very much for harkening to the call of our people, and for doing a wonderful job. To all the contestants, I say thank you too, and may the will of the people prevail. Long live Ndi Igbo! |
Thanks Alex, for your succinctly articulate manifesto. Kindly take time to answer some of the questions, especially the one not explicitly addressed in your manifesto. Thanks again. |
Syncan: PointB, ka uche gi di yaAww, sorry I did not see this until now. Pls take it as an oversight, I have no intention of undermining your candidate or your campaign for him. My sincere apology for the oversight. Please forgive me. Ikpere mi nu na la. Ayu yo kam na yo gi. Biko nwanne, gbahara m. |
Biafra_rep has indeed represented with his powerful which shows he has a good grip of the situation. Let me join in thanking him for his submission and the effort to answer some of the question. As the jigsaw fall into place, let's await what Alex101 has to offer us. |
It is unfair to treat people like that, Igbo or not. Fashola should keep bungling simple matter every time. |
orufe: A QUESTION FOR BIAFRA REP.I would like to hear Biafra_Rep response to this question. |
manny4life: Thank you. Trying to get this point across to him is a headache. The guy is like that. But I am very sure he got it now - that this is Igbo affair, he cannot set the agenda. He should deal with the card dished, and hope for the best. |
Onlytruth has set forth his detailed philosophy and agenda for us to reflect on, we thank him for his effort and time. I believe other contestants should toe similar line. We thank them in advance. |
@ndu_chucks, The position of the commission is that non-Igbos are not allowed to participate except as observers. We expect reasonable folks like you to appreciate this. We understand your passion for Igbo affairs (and many believe you are up to no good), but let it rest. The contestant are not obliged to respond to your questions (no matter you much pertinent you think of them), but if they opt to respond to them, all well and good. |
Umunna ana m ekene, So far so good I must say in respect to how our brother Manny has slotted in seamlessly into his August role. I must say thank you to him for a job well done so far. I must also thank the indefatigable 9ja_I_hail for his consistency and sacrifice; and of course Eze Nwanyi Ogugua who set the ball rolling. I also like to appeal to still dissenting voices to allow the process to run it full course peacefully, while urging electoral committee members to direct more energy and attention to task at hand, as they cannot please everyone, despite best effort and good intentions. It is important to also acknowledge that despite the difficulty Eze Odumchi passed through, leading to his resignation, he still remain our Eze until a new one is elected. Even after that, his place in the history of Ezeship in Nairaland should be acknowledged with respect. It takes a large heart to do what one believe will help the course of larger group. Eze Odumchi deserve our respect, let's disagree with him respectively. I seize this small window opportunity provided me by a short interlude in my schedule to urge the contestants to show more commitment by honoring the commission's request that they unfold their manifestos and answers questions asked them by the constituency they desire to lead. Those who have given an inkling into their plans should flesh it out with more details and then answer pertinent questions thrown at them. That is the reason we are here today. I hope to rejoin you in the effort as soon as possible. |
We still call on the candidates to present their agenda to enable us study them and formulate questions. |
Congrats Manny, I have no doubt that you will bring your diplomatic skills and experience to bear on this assignment. Welcome on board. |
manny4life: My brother, you do know the term "dictator" is a lil offensive?Believe me I have been called worse name by some our folks here. It's all good faith I suppose. I hold nothing against them though. |
ogugua88: Thanks for the clarification. I sent you an email by the way.You are welcome. I have sent an acknowledgement. |
Alfamann: I still want to know who made PointB the honourable dictator to igbos of nairaland.I also want to congratulate Onlytruth for accepting his nomination. I believe his acceptance greatly increase the quality of contestants to the benefit of Ndi Igbo. |
Apologies my people, I had to attend to something urgent. Permit me again to clarify. I did not intend for the election to start tomorrow. Tomorrow was suppose to be for discussion of Manifestos/Debate/Questions and Answer. Before this would happen, I believe various contestants should unveil their agendas/program today to enable us digest them and prepare for tomorrow's clash of titans (debate) Partly because I will be busy and also to also ensure that elected representatives are involved in this affair, I would prefer Eze Nwanyi - Ogugua to determine the time and or the person to handle the event. The election should start on Wednesday and winner announced by Friday evening. |
brb - duty calls |
By the way, Eze Nwanyi Ogugua I was wondering if you could oversee the reminder of the election (or appoint someone else to hold forth). My schedule tomorrow is a little tight. I wouldn't want to abandon it half way. 9ja_i_hail is doing very well, but since he is the only active member of the Election Tribunal, it wont be fair to overburden him. |
ogugua88: I believe Alfamann is Advocate666. I could be wrong, but that's my belief. That's not impossible, not that I care. For all I know he could very well not even be Igbo. By the way welcome back. We were hoping the Ezes could appoint a few more hands to join 9ja_I_hail as electoral officer. |
Wickedness and irresponsibility is gradually marking the end of Fashola's tenure. |
solomon111: This post is very sensible. No one is isolating anybody. The bulk of the comment here is in english, and the event is even driven in english. If anything, the generous dose of Igbo language in the proceeding will awaken their interest in (re)learning Igbo. |
We are still waiting for the nominee to accept nomination, unfold their agenda and commence their campaign. |
Kc3000: Ok, some people are really beginning to irritate me. Why respond to trolls here? Can't you see that we are their life source, and if we refuse to nourish them by responding to their crap, they become worthless. I can't believe that some of you are fraternizing with unrepentant Igbo haters, whose intention to derail this process can be seen from a mile away. Respect yourselves.Actually, I have checked his profile and moved on. We are at this stage: PointB: So far, Alex101 has accepted his nomination, and has assured us he will give more details. |
So far, Alex101 has accepted his nomination, and has assured us he will give more details. We urged other nominees to accept theirs so that we can elevate them to contestant position. Meanwhile, I urge interested members to outline the questions they would like to ask the contestant so that the electoral committee can integrate them into the program. The question may be posted here or sent to me via pointb2012 @ yahoo . com Nominees who wish to start campaigning may do so too. |
Alfamann: Well we have a bigger problem then. There is no precedence and majority agreement has not been established and there are no plans to obtain a constitutional provision.Alfamann, I regret to inform you that you actually have no loci standi to state any objection to the proceeding. You just registered a few minutes ago. Igbo do not no know you. You can not nominate, nor vote and neither can you raise any petition. You can only observe. I withdraw the petition forwarded to the tribunal, and urge the candidates to continue with their acceptance speech, unfolding of agenda, and campaign. |
FreeGlobe: odumchi has resigned. His resignation has been accepted. He lacks the locus standi to appoint anyone. The electoral committee should appoint a replacement and handle the issue by themselves. Why do you always work without any drop of professionalism?Odumchi's resignation is effective only after a new Eze has been appointed. That much he said in his resignation notice. I personally don't want to appoint anyone, as I am also an appointed official. As per the constitution, only the Eze and his cabinet should appoint. Hence, either Odumchi or Ogugua should do the appointment. |
