amarush: Can u elaborate? Do u mean whether I'm Igbo? That's a direct a way of putting it. We couldn't deduct that from your posts, nor did you say so. |
Most powerful man? I don't know why I can see beyong Musiwa! Is is because of the satellite pictures? ![]() |
Actually most do not see any difference. |
The Electoral Commissioner (PointB) attest that the result, as announced, is a true reflection of the people's will and free choice. Kindly join us in congratulating the winner, and Eze Elect OnlyTruth. Thank you all. |
manny4life: I'm sure PointB is working on it.Kindly check your mail. |
9ja_I_hail: My brother there is no need for apology, i love the way you presented your argument in a civil manner without abuse/insults. However i will like to say that PointB had been instrument to our progress so far, this is third consecutive elections i worked hand in hand with him, i can assure you that i have not at any point noticed bias motive or partiality from him, so i think he deserve commendation instead of condemning his efforts. My brother, people have various ways of reacting when things don't go their way. The most common resort is to cry wolf. Freeglobe, unfortunately, is one of such people. i hope he heeds your advice and stop his childish pranks. It's getting boring. |
FreeGlobe: I apologize to you and 9ja I hail for that, I have deleted it. I only meant people like PointB!It doesn't really matter to me what you think about me. I am beholden to Ndi Igbo, not to an individual. So feel free to run your mouth at me; you wont be the first nor the last. I am at home with antics such as yours. ![]() |
FreeGlobe: Fine at the boldedMy bad. Pls look again. It's will NOT |
Voting is still open. Those eligible to vote should please cast their vote. The electoral committee will NOT extend the election even if this thread hits the frontpage, unless the candidates unanimously agree to that, before time elapse. Rather than mounting pressure at the committee, we advise you can and mobilise voters for your candidates. Until we hear from the candidates, we are staying true to the initial plan. |
FreeGlobe: and that is not how I interpret it. If he doesn't have a cabinet he still has the powers of the Cabinet. Are you telling us that his time in the office was null and void because he didn't appoint his cabinet. His cabinet. Can the cabinet be more powerful than the eze? Anyway am out.1. Matters concerning the conduct of the election has not been deferred to him 2. He has not made any ruling or decision, he merely express an opinion. |
achi4u: Truth talk my brother but we can still reason with them.Well, you can assist by mobilizing our people to come and vote. I think voter mobilisation is one the characteristics of a good supporter. Kindly do your bit for your preferred candidate, within the time set. Even if it hits the homepage, I dont think it will be fair to extend it without the permission of the candidates. |
FreeGlobe: I thought you people said odumchi is still eze until this election is concluded. Well, I agree. He has asked that the election be extended. Whether its a bad decision is nobody's business as he is exercising his powers and I believe you or pointb's decision does not override his as the eze.Point of correction, Odumchi did not ask that the election be extended. He only expressed an opinion: odumchi: It's true that voter turnout in this election has been rather low, compared to previous elections. In addition to that, this thread has yet to appear on the homepage, possibly meaning the majority of us do not know about what is going on. In my opinion, it would be fair to extend the deadline to Monday (or Sunday) so that the thread can make the homepage, and in doing so attract more voters. But while the opinion, regarding fairness of extension is debatable, the only people that can say for certain if it is fair are the candidates. Until, they express similar opinion as the Eze, the Electoral Body reserves the right to stick to the plan. |
FreeGlobe: The election should hit the homepage before termination unless we will see it as a grand plan to coronate onlytruth. Afterall the previous thread made it to the homepage. If you put more pressure on the Mods, they would. achi4u: ^^^9ja_I_hail made an appeal for a FP promotion of the thread on the complaint thread. Other people made similar efforts. Obviously the Super MODs/Admin didn't consider it thread for FP for reason not disclosed by them. You should rather commend the efforts put in by everyone rather than make demands not within their powers. In anycase, if you can pressure to MOD to take it to the FP, we would be more than happy. |
manny4life: PointB,Last year (time) we lso voted Eze Nwanyi for the first time, and there were also a few protesters. This generated more interest (both in positive and negative way ). Below is the summary of last year's election: EXECUTIVE SUMMARYBut in all fairness, I believe this year election is much better organized and voters are also better informed on the candidate as a result of the debate. Credit to Ogugua, yourself (Manny) and 9ja_I_hail. I must say the MODs (OAM4J and Afam) were also instrumental as well as the Candidates and our people who drove the debate and Q&A session. So in all, we raised the bar this year, and that is a good thing. |
odumchi: It's true that voter turnout in this election has been rather low, compared to previous elections. In addition to that, this thread has yet to appear on the homepage, possibly meaning the majority of us do not know about what is going on. In my opinion, it would be fair to extend the deadline to Monday (or Sunday) so that the thread can make the homepage, and in doing so attract more voters.I believe most people who saw the nomination thread would have followed this thread, and perhaps cast their votes. If they didn't then that's awkward. Extending the vote should be done if the various candidate propose and support the idea, otherwise it will appear to the ordinary eyes that we seek to favour one against the other. Otherwise, i believe we should stick to the plans and find ways and means to improve the turn-out another time. |
manny4life: PointB or 9ja,amarush has no identifying comments in her post. I can't vouch for her. |
manny4life: This one too, can either of you validate it?Berabera looks ok, but it looks like dafman10 doesn't even know who he is himself. I think we should take BereBera votes, and pend dafman10's until further information. |
^^ Why dont you cast your vote and hope the best man win? |
kingoflag: We probably wont know because some people just dont believe in whining as grown men, they take their "L" to the chin, stick their chest out, and keep it moving. Were the walking about the markets welding those so called weapon around? Is there any serious market with local security arrangement? What better security than those you can actually trust not to betray you, no matter what part of the country they are from? Does one require a license to keep a dagger (small knives) at home? I thought you were going to say they were caught with Ak47 riffles and live ammunition. Arresting someone for having a machete and meat cleaver is very lame, to the point of ridiculous. And wtf is voodoo charms? Granted our police, and the politicians whose purpose they serve are that idiotic, must you necessary join their idiocy? |
Ndi Igbo, cast your votes now. |
saintohia: ^^^^^Seems you are more interested in exit polls. ![]() |
One_Naira: After reading the back forth between onlytruth and some of the commentors, I have to say onlytruth just lost my vote. Any Igbo who still believe in the scam of "one Nigeria" need not only stay as far away from any leadership pertaining Igbo people but he should also take a look at what's happening in Nigeria and ask himself "Do I really think there is such thing as "one Nigeria""?Personally I have my view about Nigeria and Biafra, however as an electoral officer, I rather keep those views to myself for now. Noiseless may make sense, but nothing stopped him from nominating himself or you nominating him for the position while nomination lasted. If by next election many still agree with your characterization of him, it would be good to see his nomination rise like a hot air balloon. But at the moment, the front door of nominations has been slammed shut. And we never did really considered a back door. ![]() |
^^^ That's a good one. @9ja_I_hail. Thanks. @all, Polling ends by Friday. Decide NOW! |
Hardworking smart governor with great vision, that is Obi. Positive one! |
Eze Nwanyi, Kindly check your email. |
9ja_I_hail: Thanks manny for your consistency, today had been a very busy day but i am glad we have able hands to manage things here.My brother, Thanks for your dedication. I sent you a mail. |
gidiMonsta: So citizens found illegally possessing arms and ammunitions should be left alone just because they're igbo? What are 'harmless traders' doing with guns? When Makoko was demolished and a chief was shot by the popo, nobody screamed tribalism. When Mile12 was shut down last year, arrests were also made.Define arms and ammunition, in relation to what was found on them? It's easy to bandy words around when you are not in their shoe. What weapons were recovered from them? |
This man surely knows how to bite. Interesting perspective from Akpabio. Nice one. |
bigass: All you shouting marginalization. were you all in coma when Ketu market was closed? Abi na Ibo get that one too? What of yaba market that was dimolished. I guess what Ibos want is either all other tribes vacates Lagos for them or they should be exempted from obeying Lagos laws. How many people were arrested and treated inhumanly during those exercises? Why would they parade traders on news media as common criminal? When did security services (reported as the job of the arrested individuals) become a crime? To the extent that dual use items such as machetes (used for clearing shrubs and bushes), batons, wooden hangers, etc became dangerous weapon. This is nothing but blatant abuse of power and sheer wickedness by fashola; the overall agenda here is hate and malice for the sake of it. especially against the weak and non indigene. |
Nigerians, please behold one of the people dragging this country back. His name is Mallam Shehu Sani, clearly, it is and accursed name! |
