Agriculture › Re: Nigeria Will Start Exporting Yams To Europe In June 2017 – Agric Minister, Ogbeh by pokipoki: 4:24pm On May 30, 2017 |
Audu Ogbeh should shut up and seat down. How does exporting yam to Europe reduced the price of yam for local consumption. A sensible minister would want to drive the cost down by increasing supply locally to tackle hunger, encourage small scale industry to process the yam thereby increasing employment opportunities, then export excess for forex. Don't blame him, the government of the day exhibts bad leadership. |

Abagworo: I like Dino as a man but he needs to be dealt with for bribing a Judge. The Judge needs to be equally dealt with for trading justice for money. Nigerian judiciary has been the stumbling block in the war against corruption. The judiciary needs total cleansing. He bribed the judge with how much and where? |
Politics › Re: Dino Melaye And Akoh Ikpeme Caught On Tape Talking Bribe (Audio By Sahara R.) by pokipoki: 11:37am On May 30, 2017 |
Hmmmm!!! Sahara reporters. I really don't know who their legal adviser are?. But even if it's the voice of Dino, two things will happen. First, Sahara reporters have to produce the source of recordings. They also have to produce Dino's consent to the recording. If they are unable to provide this two things; Dino may have a case against cyberstalking since they are no security organization who usually tap conversations. The second thing that will happen is that they need to prove that it is Dino voice on the recording and also the fact that the conversation led to money actaully exchanging hands. Since the audio conversation did not specify any funds. They also need to prove that the telephone call was made before the judgement was passed. |

Afterall anyone that is not Sunni Muslim, specifically those who are not in tune with their Wahhabism is considered as a non believer. Hence, they are subject to attack. The know if they try it with Isreal, they will be tracked down, killed like stray dogs and their families members killed. That's why ISIS always try to mask themselves. |

mzirawo: BENUE: DANGOTE CALLS FOR REVIEW OF TAXES, LEVIES source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/05/benue-dangote-calls-for-review-of-taxes.html
President and chief executive officer of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has called on the Benue State government to address the rapid rise in the number and rate of taxes and levies being charged by the revenue and tax agencies in the state. Alhaji Dangote, who made the call during the commissioning of the tricycles and mini cement depots purchased by the Dangote Cement, Gboko plant, for onward distribution to the host community said, in recent times the Benue State Revenue and tax agencies have been too hard on the plant with multiple taxes and over 500 percent increase in taxes and levies. “As a business, we have our own share of problems occasion by the down turn in the Nigeria economy; we require your support to help us stay in business not to drive us away by multiple taxes and levies. Please your excellency, we are appealing to you to look into these issues alongside the state house of assembly, with a view to lessening our tax burden” Addressing beneficiaries at the plant premises in Gboko, the president and chief executive officer of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who was represented by his special adviser, Engr Joe Makoju, said, the gesture was to keep the company’s rules of engagement with the host communities which is aimed at transforming the lives of the people around the operational units. “This scheme is aimed at empowering our host communities, economically and socially, the mini cement depot and the tri-cycles will among other things make cement available to people at affordable prices, engage youths in more productive ventures, thereby eliminating idleness and criminality in the minds of youths” According to him, the 30 tri-cycles and 5 mini cement depots is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to the host community to improve the community’s welfare and living standard. “We are in Benue State to stay and do business, that is why our future plans are already aimed at expanding our factory in a new site on the opposite side of the existing plant and we need your cooperation and an enabling environment for smooth operation of our business.” Hahahaha. The clueless governor wants to increase his IGR. I wonder if they have any company bigger than Dangote in benue state. The governor should understand that it not a big deal for Dangote to move his business to Kogi. |

obailala: Below shows the record of Nigeria's power generation as at the last week of May 2015 just before the last government handed over. Now kindly tell me who's the real clown running around swallowing nonsense lies about 5100mw?
www.nairaland.com/attachments/5381093_powergen_jpeg1c9f6029b22df1fe842d7c86b55cae51
Power jumping from 3000mw-1500mw-1330mw-1700mw within few days inside one week, and this sort of erratic rotten power system is what you claim to be 5100mw that couldn't be maintained?.... Who's really the gullible political propaganda swallowing clown here? http://www.nsong.org/Library.aspx You can do better by providing us with the annual report spanning for the last 4 years so that we have idea of the power generation rather than providing us with "selected days" operational report. That makes more sense. |
Politics › Re: No Hope For Nigeria Power Sector – Senate by pokipoki: 1:50pm On May 25, 2017 |
magoo10: •The Goodluck Jonathan administration has improved the power generation from around 2000 megawatts to 4502 megawatts in December 2012 the highest since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999. •By July this year, power generation will hit 6,000 megawatts and by December this year it will hit 10,000 megawatts (assurance given last week by Minister of State for Power). •All ten Power Plants under the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) scheme to be commissioned by the end of this year. At the moment, majority of them have reached 95 percent completion stage. •Improved power supply has been boosted in part by the emergency declared in the Gas sector last year by President Jonathan. At the time gas supply was insufficient. But now, thanks to the intervention by Mr. President, Nigeria now produces more gas than is required for domestic consumption. •For more efficient power supply, the Jonathan administration has privatized the power distribution companies (DISCOs) under a most transparent bid process. •Today, large parts of an unprecedented number of cities and towns across the country are enjoying between 14 to 16 hours of uninterrupted power supply, except in some few areas where localized problems of power distribution network have created bottlenecks for smooth transmission. Hahahaha. The new government cannot not even maintain 5100MW. What a bunch of clowns!!!!. |
Politics › Re: No Hope For Nigeria Power Sector – Senate by pokipoki: 1:46pm On May 25, 2017 |
I wonder why the cry is all about. Nigerians from day one lacked the technical expertise to run the power sector. From generation to distribution. The country would have partnered with the Chinese or South Africa (Eskom) for construction and proper integration of new and existing infrastructure. Lack of foresight by our so called "leaders". |
