It might be worst to foreigners but certainly best to us residents

Stop dreaming!!!! Lagos is really a difficult place to live. Lots of man- hour lost in traffic, dirty streets, lack of infrastructure to support the growing population. The only thing postive about Lagos compared to all states in Nigeria is the security stability.

Hahahaha. The whole idea of the passage is to let you understand God's word regarding people putting their faith and trust in him. People and government need to "work" and do the right thing. Hence, my intial response/ comments.

After years of not paying duty on his imported goods in Nigeria,creating unfavorable policies for his competitors(e.g Ibeto Cement) which took his competitors out of business and gave him a monopoly (I am not taking away his hard work,but clearly the government gave him an unfair advantage)



Now,one of the owners of Nigeria wants to invest in the west.

Investing $50b in the west is a loss to Africa,in terms of employment,infrastructures,foreign exchange reserve etc.

Nigeria will never work until her citizens are given level playing ground to compete.

Dude, the country is gradually on the path to a failed state. God is not going to do Jack!!!. Countries that are not half as religious nor wealthy as Nigeria are making so much progress.
Kidnapping is now the new business, we have Gunmen roaming the streets, Offical unemployment is about 22%, food is expensive, Children are out of school due to hardship and lack of funds, we cannot boast of 5,000MW of electricity for our 190million people. Lives are lost everyday due to preventable road accidents and bad healthcare facilities and yet we are not in any war.
God actually gave Nigeria what it needs to be great but we the people and the government have decided to give it to the dogs!!!

It's high time people take over the business of cattle rearing from the fulani's.They have been using same subsistence methods/ technology since time memorial. With new technologies cattle don't have to be moved around for grazing, thus limiting confrontations and violence with local farmers.

Not everyone can afford solar

24hours electric supply is possible. If the nigerian government is serious, they can arrange with big companies such as China Electric, GE or Eskom to build solar farms in northern state like sokoto, katsina, kaduna and the rest. Solar farms (panels and swtiches) are easily more deployed and ready generation than hydro electric plants or has turbines. Furthermore, wind turbines in coastal states like lagos, Port Harcourt and Rivers can also go a long way. Countries like China are currently generating about 34GW form solar. That's almost 100x Nigerian current power generation.
Talk is cheap, it's high time the government start to work!!!

By the way, do you know that if you have $10 in your wallet and no debts, you're richer than 25% of Americans? They live their lives on credits, there houses on mortgage, there health care by insurance companies, cars on credits, even their iPhones is on credit. Thank God I'm in Nigeria, I sleep well at night knowing that I'm not owing anybody.

Why are you interested in what he did with the $2billion he borrowed from the Chinese? If you must know, the money he borrows to expand his business, creates thousands of employment for Nigerians.
Also, if not for people that live on credit in western societies, do you think majority of Nigerians will be able to afford news cars? We needs to thank them for making tokunboh card available.
What you must understand is that borrowing money for personal lifestyle is different from borrowing money for business. The later is rewarded with profits!!

From my perspective, i think the following should be done:

1. Widen the drainage from Pen Cinema to Mobil
2. Wide the drains from Housing Estate to link up with Area G drains.
3. Shut down Mobil fuel station and widen its drains
4. Widen the drains from Odu Eran to link with Agege garage

In addition to comments, people should stop throwing garbage (especially non degradable) on the roads and drains.
