You waste a whole lotsa time and money doing that. See below, all the trouble to get e-visa, while if u had your Nigerian passport you won't have to do any of that, you'll simply buy your tcket and travel

No airline will refuse since you are returning to your country of origin, but you can not travel back with the expired passport.

You can travel back with expired Nigerian passport - if you have passport of the country you're traveling to
