Thankful to Baba God for his mercies!

izzou: Of course...
There's more waiting time now, not because of more drivers, but because there are less riders. The riders determine whether this business will last or not
Let's not also forget that in transportation, we have peak periods and off peak periods. Not just for uber, but all areas. If you go to most bus stops now, fares have dropped because there are less passengers. Come back by 4pm and the whole thing changes. It's still the same with our job
Any driver that finds himself is VI by 4 to 5pm is likely to get a trip out, unless he limits himself with destinations
To me sha, we should be clamouring for more riders. The more people are aware of the app and it's affordability, the more we have trips. We cannot limit the number of cars that will enter the platform. We cant
How your side Pope? My oga u no go like know wetin deh happen to me, can't complain, yesterday I almost activate war with one rider, today nah rider carry me enter balogun market say make we deh find clothes up and down since 10am, this is d third time I'm doing dis with her, energy drained already, even me get store I pick clothes with pricing, woman, choice and price matter In as much as I'll like to agree with you view, riders work with flow of money circulation in the economy, while driver work with positioning due to influx of excess car in the system, but as we have always agree that the system will regulate itself. Let's use raining period for example, surge comes up cos much driver went off and don't like Driving in the rain, soh during such period ride is certain at the expense of your car. Lately I realize it will take luck to breakeven once u mis d mornin train (working class), do few trips during the day and position for close hour. One tin I observe this Sunday on taxify was surge almost everywhere. |

kong4: 1. According to him, the fuel consumption is very OK and almost like corrola.
2. I don't have this information because asking him is like i am trying to know too much.
3. We agreed on 20k. I told him to use the first week to settle into the hustle. He has only paid once, this morning. Boss if d car is sound with a good fuel consumption like you say, then making 60k weekly should not b a problem for him with a good positioning and a day off if he like. At least ur 20k is certain and he can use the rest 40k to sought out whatever he have to sought out including taxify money. jesusson2020 is coming to shed more light to help out, I don't know why he hardly comment on post like this, but he is coming sha. |

izzou: As long as there are riders, it can never be over saturated
Count how many danfos you see on the road. Yet they still make a living from it despite the government buses competing with them
Count the okadas, kekes and the rest...
As long as there are riders, if you like put 500 corollas, it will still contain them all
The period you're going to bed or resting, someone else is trying to get a ride, and someone is going to pick them up
The transport sector is very massive. Izzou for NURTW Chairman, MC Oluomo never know wetin jam em But we cant take away the fact that more drivers, more waiting time to get trip. Imagine where u have 3 cars and 6 riders, surge loading. But where u have 10 cars and 2 riders, nah gisting sure pass (Chevron drive). Las las we go deh aiit |

U just hit d nail, stay off bad road, how many rider r u going to tell to jump byke to meet you, when 1001 driver's always pick them at same point. I'm not encouraging riders, but it is what it is. |

Gentlelife50: I agree with you, but if it's taking time to come up the rider will naturally ask you the next thing to do. Then you may suggest estimate I mean checking rider app to know the price, some may bluntly tell you what they want to pay. You may want to collect whatever they are offering and leave, shit don happen already so you are only trying to see if u can salvage the situation. But never accept to drop account so that they can pay you whenever Taxify is done with the review because most times they will never pay, I always want to work with the estimated price unless the rider is proving to be too wise.
I had such situation from dolphin estate to Nicon town the man drop 2k and said I won't be more than that road was free though, so after everything is came out 1,600 as I was turning in front of the man's house. I called him immediately and he came out and I told him the actual fare he said I should just go. I thanked him and left I understand u boss, a serious rider will go with estimated price, but in cases where u made to many route change and stop, what do u think? Like yesterday, I took a rider from Yaba to Berger, did some route change and stoppage. I was expecting nothing less then 2500, but app displayed 1300... If we go wit estimation, it won't b more then 1600, I just tell rider not to worry, everything will b fine, since its card. I review nd in 40 I saw 2900. But what does 1 do when on a surge of 1.9 and covered 25km? |

Gentlelife50: If you must review wait for them to bring the actual fare before the rider pay, once u notice app malfunction you may not even need to tell the rider just review it and plead with him to wait that the trip is under review. Alternatively if u notice it simply ask the rider the estimate or check the estimate with your own rider app and tell the rider. The type of rider will determine what to do sha It makes no sense to review and tell rider to wait, some review takes d next day, some hours... Who have the luxury of time in dis rush Lagos. Its best not to review and negotiate with rider either use estimation price in case of straight drive from pick up point to destination, trust rider to balance up after review or just collect the money like that |

xana101: most of us make more than that. The work is not easy. Couple with d insult from those girls that can not pay for there fare, expecting the guy to pay. That’s how I ended trip. Fare was 1k. Babe start calling the guy to transfer 1k to me. I was like, babe u don’t have 1k in ur bank or ur bag yet u run ur mouth. Most poor babes are lousy. Don't go personal boss, nah hustle dem deh too, if u know how I pity for dem, u will dash dem what u have self. bulalakoboko: Hello brother, I lost my job today and want to start Uber and taxify. I have a corolla 2008 but I am a novice with lagos road because I don't drive out that much. My work is very close to my house and even my church so I hardly even drive my car. Please is it possible for me to use the Uber app to know where am going? Thanks as you help a brother. My heart breaks to read this, but its life, unexpected and eventuality happens. Well my own opinion and may be wrong. I'll like to look at where u r coming from, how much you earn monthly and your expected income doing dis. Why? Is because if u are not strong, the situation out here will break u and u may end up finding yourself in self pity, which will not motive u enough being someone that earn x, probably with much respect and this our wife can mess someone day without blinking. Well this little calls for more, pending on your motive and the year of car you've decided to use for the business as a first timer and as well road navigation. |
