phelps007:Only God knows where you people come about this foolishness. In spite of all the glaring incompetence and lack of capacity for the highest office being displayed daily by this Daura cattlerearer, you are still talking about making Nigeria proud. Is it because of your irredeemable gambling lifestyle? Can you build something on nothing? |
The dullard refused to improve himself for 30 years. He was admitted to the military with a recommendation letter. He doesn't have the capacity to remedy the deficiency for 21 years before he forced his way to Nigeria's leadership. He has been in retirement for more than 30 years and he can only boast of his cow-milking experience. Fashola who has been whispering what he to say to him since he took office couldn't cover up this one for him. |
GogobiriLalas:What is the suffering of Zimbabwe? You have to be specific. That country has some nice things too. Econet Wireless that brought GSM to Nigeria in 2001 is a Zimbabwean company. Don't just react to propaganda, make your own private findings. The whites' propaganda is because Mugabe refused to be their puppet. |
MaziOmenuko:Any international media that hires that one is setting itself for real problems with African governments. She better watch her back though, there are some ruthless African leaders she won't dare cross their paths. If you offend people like Paul Kagami of Rwanda, only God knows what will happen to you. |
spenca:Hypocrite! 'She couldn't handle the emotion of words she got from people' but she can talk nonsense about other people. |
haqueurate:You are still here deceiving yourself? Are you as daft as your dullard Baba ni? The Nation, your intellectual and propaganda outfit has already given up. They said they've just discovered that the dullard that we have known since 1984 is actually HOLLOW! Your party is dead, they are preparing the requiem now. |
Come and see vex o. Hollow ko, hologram ni. Your Daura President that you people said has a 'Masters degree' from US war college is now hollow? Otio Fulani don knack this people maga sha!. You better come back home and start your opposition politics that you are better at. This federal thing don become Atari Ajanaku now. You sold a whole generation of your offsprings to Fulani slavery without thinking of the consequences. Awon omo ale jatijati. |
biafransoul:Dem don knack dem maga for Abuja. They will never learn anything. Mumucious people. When they were helping to forge his certificate and offering the most vilest defense on his behalf were they hypnotized or what? The next step is to whittle down all the "powers" of the "mere commissioner" and give him ceremonial roles to make him redundant. The real "owners" of Nigeria are here. Maga don pay. |
callmenow:Whoa! A lame duck in just two weeks? But we were told he is omnipotent. |
lurther:Fulani don dey knack Yoruba maga since 1954. Maga don pay big time. |
donphilopus:Will you send your suicide bombers to the national assembly as usual? |
This is coming from the dullard who has been disturbing the peace of Nigeria for 12 years with violence. He has to wait for the emergence of NASS leadership before he can appoint his Chief of Staff and National Security Adviser? The same almajiri who said zoning arrangement is PDP's creation? |
Mr. Cameron, will your interest in Nigeria now extend beyond oil drilling and DFID alms giving to road construction, electricity investments? |
Mr. Cameron, will you also buy Nigeria's oil now that our Eastern customers are not comfortable with your new found love with @MBuhari? |
ideylaff:Does it include the ones Abacha stole which Buhari said he didn't steal? |
And what did @MBuhari promise you in return? Homosexuality legalization? |
2n2k: How then can you now say 57 senators voted when the guy was returned unopposed? The question was for someone who claimed Ekwerenmadu couldn't have polled 54 and Ndume 20 votes when 51 senators chose to absent themselves, whereas, the vote tally was shown live on NTA. |
Rotimi47:Hello Rotimi. Stop this rant and read up some more. It's not by force to comment. The first business of the Senate and House of Representatives after the proclamation by the President of the Federal Republic is the election of the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker of the House and Deputy Speaker of the House. These principal officers must be elected and sworn-in first. The Clerk of the National Assembly administers the oath on the principal officers. Thereafter the oath is administered on other members That was what was done. Members can be sworn-in at any time they arrive. If they like they can come one month later for their own oath. The most important thing has been done. The principal officers have been elected on the first day. Do you get it now? You people should familiarize yourselves with the procedures first. It's the federal government now not Alausa where anything goes Nigeria has structure, rules, procedures, regulations and laws that you can't just 'change' on the internet. You guys have left Alausa now. You are in Abuja where all other 'baddass' congregate. Where your own Lagos Agbero gragra stops, that's where some people's lunacy starts. The city is surrounded by rock, hard rock, not Lagoon. Your swimming skills are useless in Abuja. |
softwareman:Maybe you should ask yourself a simple question. Why did APC rejoice when Saraki, Melaye and other PDP members defected to APC? Maybe you people should learn to be true democrats and be tolerant of dissent. You can't have your way all the time. It's just a game. You either learn to play it or you step aside and watch from the sideline. |
ayindejimmy:The election was conducted in the open and shown live on NTA for the whole world to see. Ekwerenmadu polled 54, Ndume polled 20. |
donphilopus:Ike Ekwerenmadu polled 54 while Ali Ndume polled 20. Total is 74 by simple arithmetic. Where did you get your own 57 senators present? |
Maxymilliano:Don't mind these lazy and childish people. Instead of them to prepare the ministerial list and send to the newly inaugurated Senate for screening, they are wailing all over the media. It's one thing to use orchestrated violence get to office, it's another thing to know what to do when you are sworn-in. |
Does that mean it will take 9 months for Buhari to appoint his ministers? |
omonnakoda:You guys are neophytes in national politics. You need to under-study legends for another 8 years. How would he have won when they were going to arm-twist him at some phony meeting with DD (Daura President) himself? If you can impeach him legally why not? But, will the APC itself last five months? Who among them foresaw what happened yesterday 24 hours earlier? |
omenka: Which law was broken? |
sweetgala:No Sir. The road was concessioned to Bi-Courtney Limited for about 30 years by Obasanjo. The concession agreement was reviewed by Yaradua to 25 years in 2009. The "concessionee", i.e. Bi-Courtney, did not do anything on the road for many years. They couldn't raise funds anywhere for the project. In November 2012, the Jonathan's administration cancelled the concession agreement and AWARDED the contract to Julius Berger and RCC afresh. Your attempt at removing Jonathan's hands on the reconstruction of that road is very shameful. You are the one who is not truthful. This was how the media reported it at the time. The Federal Government today terminated the concession of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, which was granted to Bi-Courtney Consortium on May 8, 2009, and handed the job to Julius Berger Plc and R.C.C Nigeria Limited. The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, disclosed this in an interview with State House Correspondents in Abuja. The government said the action was taken because of the failure of Bi-Courtney, which is owned by billionaire Wale Babalakin, to fulfill agreements reached with it on the project. The minister said, “Due to the senseless carnages on this important expressway which is part of Arterial Route A1, the Federal Government has also decided to embark on the emergency reconstruction of the expressway.” He said that his Ministry had engaged Julius Berger Plc and R.C.C Nigeria Limited to commence work immediately on the reconstruction of the expressway. Julius Berger will handle Section 1, which is from Lagos to the Shagamu interchange, while RCC Nigeria Limited will be responsible for Section II, from Shagamu to Ibadan. “The federal Government wishes to assure that while it will continue to uphold the sanctity of contracts entered into by the federal government, it will not shy away from implementing provisions of the contract agreement dealing with non-performance on the part of the contracting party.” According to the Minister, the legal implications of terminating the contract have been carefully considered by the Federal Ministry of Works and the Federal Government. Mr. Onolememen said: “If you recall we have been on this issue for quite sometime now and we have meticulously followed the concession agreement, the provision of relevant clauses of the agreement. We have complied fully with the provisions of this agreement. We have had cause even in the past to write the concessioneer to detail the breaches which it had committed in this agreement in this particular transaction and we have also followed the minimum and maximum number of days the contractor was expected to remedy the situation but failing which the Federal Government had no alternative but to take this course of action". He noted out that Bi-Courteny was supposed finish the job in four years, which will come to a close in about six months’ time, with nothing on the ground to suggest that it is capable of fulfilling the objective. On whether it was a mistake giving the concession to Bi-Courteny in the first place, he said, "I would not want to say that it was a mistake, because though I was not [the Minister] at that time, perhaps at that time they had the most responsible bids, the details best known to the then Minister of Works and his team that handled the project. “But again it is not out of place to give Nigerian companies opportunities to handle projects of this nature. This is our country, whoever has the ability and the capacity to do projects of this nature we believe should be encouraged". On the percentage of work done on the road so far, he said: "I will leave that for those who use the road. As far as we are concerned the terms of work have not been complied with". http://saharareporters.com/2012/11/19/lagos-ibadan-expressway-fg-kicks-out-bi-courtney-engages-julius-berger-rcc-nigeria |
abdulwastecx:That's your own theory... This is what the man said with his own mouth... "Some people even say I am from Ogun State and some even say I am from Togo but I know where I am from. Even, not long ago, I had an invitation to join a Malian-Fulani organisation and that I should be its chairman". http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=10809 |
raumdeuter:The "pain" you took to "educate" me is sincerely appreciated. What is not tolerable is the lie that I stated that "Saraki had no meaning in Yoruba". There is no where I made such "statement". A careful re-reading of those posts will take you to question mark at the end of each question. Except you want to take the "pain to educate me again", to the best of my knowledge Sir, questions are not statements. Therefore, between me who asked questions which you took the "pain" to provide answers to, and you who just refused to accept someone's testimonies about himself, who is averse to knowledge Sir? As at today Sir, there is no country known as Yoruba or Fulani, they are used for Ethnic or Tribal groups. Therefore, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Brazil etc are countries according to geography and politics. Whereas you can live in a country and take its citizenship, ethnic ancestry is purely by birth. There are several Ogbomoso people in the North who will never admit they are Hausa or Fulani, and some of them don't even know Ogbomoso motor park in Kano. Many don't speak a word in Yoruba and don't have a Yoruba name. There are several Hausa/Fulani in Sabo in Ibadan who speak Yoruba better than you, they are not Yoruba Sir. Many African Americans are currently sequencing their DNA to determine their African tribe. Their forefathers have been gone from Africa for more than 200 years. The Ethiopian Jews, who many believe are descendants of King Solomon and Queen of Sheba, were rescued in a massive operation back to their homeland in 1991, after living in Ethiopia as "citizens" for several centuries. Adebayor's nationality is Ivorian, his tribe could be Yoruba. It doesn't matter how many centuries his ancestors might have departed from Yorubaland. Same applies to Yorubas in Brazil. They are simply Yorubas in Brazil or Cuba. I wasn't expecting you to still continue dragging this stuff till now, especially since you saw Oloye's own version of who he was. The man even took the "pain" (maybe like you did) to distinguish his own Fulani from that of Ilorin Emir's Fulani. When someone takes his time to explain these stuffs to you, like he did, he is simply saying he is not a bastard. That's the interpretation. Saraki is Fulani Sir. I think you should take that as one knowledge you've learned this night. |
raumdeuter:Ok, great. Saraki, n. respected members of a club or association. Thanks. |
raumdeuter:That's an advanced "theory of everybody and nobody". (Buhari, 2015). But we are discussing a live situation now Sir. If your forefathers came from afar and you've settled a near and you chose not to integrate instead prefer an affiliation with your kins from afar why should anyone claim you as part of them? If Oloye Saraki preferred his ancestral affinity why should it bother anyone? Why the rush to claim someone who stated clearly that he is not Yoruba? "Even, not long ago, I had an invitation to join a Malian-Fulani organisation and that I should be its chairman." No one put up this sort of theory then when The Nation said Obasanjo's father was Igbo and not Yoruba, even with all the Egba tribal marks on his face. He it was who came out to say he is a bonafide Yoruba man. Now you find someone who stated plain and clear that he is Fulani and suddenly theories started coming up about Lamurudu, Agboniregun, Oduduwa etc. Listen, there are Fulani quarters and there are Yoruba quarters in Ilorin. Pre-independence interactions or not, everyone knows where he comes from. Everyone knows who he is. You can't claim someone who said he's Fulani as Yoruba. |
raumdeuter:Ok, Baba Oyo... This particular Saraki is not Yoruba... Read what Oloye said of his ancestry with his own mouth... Question - One is at a loss about your real identity because some people would call you a Fulani while others would describe you as a Yoruba. Some said your mother was from Iseyin and your wife is from Owo in Ondo State. There are even people saying you are half Christian while others argue that you are a devoted Moslem. Who really are you? Answer - My mother was from Iseyin in Oyo State while my father was from Ilorin in Kwara State. My great-great grandfather originated from Mali and I am talking about some 150 to 200 years ago. And they are Fulani and that is where we got our Fulani connection from. My great grandfather settled in Ilorin preaching the religion of Islam. A section of Ilorin came from Gwandu, they were all refreshing and they were religious but my people came there as practicing Muslims from Mali with their “own Quran”. In fact, the Emir and I used to joke that we had our own Quran and that nobody gave us Quran. My great-grandfather brought our own Quran to Ilorin from Mali to Agbaji where we settled. The Agbaji quarters is about 200 to 300 years old. Over the years, religious piety and devotion have led the prohibition of drumming (in whatever circumstance) in the area. But because of our connection with the Southern people, a lot of the Yoruba are always in Ilorin and so we speak the same language. But if you look at the Ilorin people, the real Ilorin people like Saraki for example, the culture and their ways share affinity to those of the far Northern Nigeria. That accounts for the difference you observe between us and, particularly, people of the South-West, despite the existence, now, of Yoruba as a common language. I leave people to say whatever they like about me. Some people even say I am from Ogun State and some even say I am from Togo but I know where I am from. Even, not long ago, I had an invitation to join a Malian-Fulani organisation and that I should be its chairman. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=10809 |
raumdeuter:Ok, fair enough! But, how did you come about your theory? You have not answered the questions still. It would be interesting to recommend any Yoruba dictionary. |
