arresa: The same state that was already built and developed before Nigeria sef get independence? Why did Nigeria picked Lagos state to be the capital?
DO they still teach social studies in Nigeria or you people are just ignorant? So Lagos was a state before Nigeria got independence? Concerning federal capitals, have you ever heard of Calabar and Lokoja before though? Maybe you should step out of Okepopo once in a while to know what is happening in other parts of the country. That said, 80% of Lagos was build by Nigeria, whether you admit it or you don't. |

jomoh: Don't come online and display your ignorance. Just because you saw PRIVATE there does not mean it was a GEJ inspired initiative.
Get some education. Private Public Partnership(PPP) still falls under a government project contracted out to private firms to run for a time and eventually return it to the government.
It is a kind of private financing of public projects. It is not owned by any private company. The private company on the authority of the government, source for funds privately, build the project, run the project for a period of time to make their profit and hand it over to the government.
The two major advantage is that it reduces corruption and the government does not have to use public funds to build it.
PPP has being around since the time of OBJ not GEJ initiative. PPP in the power sector was a result of the unbundling of the sector completed by the Jonathan administration. Public power generation was an exclusive of the federal government until now. |

Abayhormy: With ALL The OIL REVENUE THAT THE OIL RICH SOUTH SOUTH Earns I am Dissapointed in those OIL REVENUE Governors.
Habba, be fair, which state out of ALL those south south(or even the whole Nigeria) has the kind of population lagos has to cater for?
Lagos is Not Pampered monthly with Billions oil revenue. WHY ARE PEOPLE not objective? Lagos has to be on its toes and even be innovative before they can generate those IGRS. Appart from Population(which the federal government has turned to a liability for lagos, by leaving them to lagos alone to cater for), what else does lagos has? Is it not the same allocation as with other states. Does lagos have special oil revenue? You have to be totally objective yourself. Federal government built 80% of Lagos. Sea ports, airports, roads, bridges, hospitals, military barracks, university, other federal institutions etc. Lagos was the capital of Nigeria until 1991 and that is responsible for the massive population. There's no other state in Nigeria that the federal government investment so much on infrastructure. |

dabigwalls: Where were they in the first 3 efforts made by the amiable General? They were busy voting other candidates. Ayo Opadokun is an APC card carrying member (correct me if I'm wrong) so I see some measure of desperation in this. GMB does not need this.
It is absolutely unnecessary and the continued ab-use of God and His things will soon backfire on these politicians who give no thoughts to expanding God's kingdom on earth but their partisan kingdoms.
As some of the jokers on this forum would say, the fire from heaven that will fall on these politician pastors is on fuel queue. Ayo Opadokun has not addressed the blood of Moshood Abiola hanging on his neck, he is the one organizing prayers for Imam Buhari now. |

Granted I get the feeling that they would have dismissed it no matter what. There are obviously more then 5000 people participating.

APC has lost significant ground in the South West.
People's anger is being deflected one way or another.
APC may start shouting of election postponement too in the coming days.

TheProfe: @Dammyjohn... I'm not a bigot and would not engage in making unfounded comments. .
If you truly understand history, you'd realise that the reason Buhari's regime is popularly referred to as the BUHARI-IDIAGBON regime is that the man embraced delegation of power (authority). Buhari may not have any credential other than his perceived integrity BUT don't you think his running mate - Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is an intellectual??
I don't know how old you are but I want to assume that you have some mental capacity to analyse issues, if you so choose.. Therefore, I think you should make an objective comparison of VP Namadi Sambo and Prof Osinbajo.... If Buhari has nothing to offer (just like the incumbent President), he'll delegate to Osinbajo whom we all know is intellectually inclined.
**And I strongly advise that you PLEASE spend more time on improving your use of the Eglish language and leave political discourse for those who are better informed. Your advice though. |

Especially as APC do not impress me about their plans for it.
But then again....PDPians are probabaly just as intellectually drained as their APC counterparts....tsk tsk.
Good morning. My questions were serious, and you made fun of them. If this is how your party treats serious minded non-partisan Nigerians asking honest questions...I fear for the future of this country if PDP wins(as they may do so). PDP has been winning for the past 16 years and all you every time is fear for the future of the country, are you that fearful? Comon! Quit fearing already. Be a man, you can't be whining and fearing every time you are defeated, haba! |

bushdoc9919: Well.....do you PDPians have an answer to the fall in oil prices?
I do not support APC btw....especially since they chose Buhari....whom I regard as old.
But....I am interested in what answers PDP has to give to the challenge Nigeria faces due to the oil price fall...and all I hear from you PDP ians is noise about some certificate....that did not work with Adams Oshiomole(who has zero certificate....but still won in a court of law when someone tried to get him out of office on the certificate issue.).
So.....PDpian.......convince me, an undecided voter. Buhari will stabilize OIL PRICES, he has promised to do that. Don't you believe in him? He just came back from 'Cambridge' with his PhD in bed rest. |

Now......oil is below $60 a barrel. Nigeria needs it to be $123 a barrel to meet our financial obligations. Do you and your party have an intelligent answer to the problem arising from this issue.? Buhari will stabilize OIL PRICES nevertheless. |
Politics › Re: Massive Crowd Welcomes Buhari At Airport (Photos) by porka: 7:48am On Mar 06, 2015 |
bushdoc9919: You know.,.....this certificate thing is beginning to get old.
I have the idea that you PDPians have no idea how to manage the challenges Nigeria is going to face thanks to the fall in oil prices, which means a fall in our revenue. You also have no idea how to effectively manage our fuel supply....and despite your harping about how many things Buhari as built or not...you have not built new refineries....and power supply is still below 3000mw.
So, Mr PDP supporter....tell us how your party will address the future challenges Nigeria faces. I am not an APC supporter....so don't try to counter by asking about Buhari. Tell us....you and your party. You mean he couldn't still find his certificate? |
