OMOTOWO: was at the market today, and I think I should share a view. The madam there is an Igbo lady that just got chicken for her lovely family. The guy taking care of the chicken is from Borno and he gets N100 from each chicken he prepares and cuts to the sizes you want. He kills about 10 chicken every day and about 40 over the weekend. The baba that owns the chicken is a Fulani man. Now, the commercial activity coupled with the demand and supply factor does not warrant any of these three people to ask useless question. The man that owns the chicken does not give a damn where who is buying his chicken comes from. The madam that is buying does not give a hook where who is selling the chicken is from, the guy that is preparing the chicken does not give a hook if the madam that owns the chicken is Igbo or Yoruba or slowpoke, all he cares is his N100 after he is done with your sturv. What does this connote? The agitators of Biafra are politicians that ought to be arrested and charge to court for sponsoring civil unrest and public disturbances. We are one! If you don't have anything reasonable to say, it's better to keep quiet. |

coptic: The mission was classified.
The boys he went with have all returned and they did with his mobile phone, house keys, and car keys. He was the only one who didn't make it back. So what are the boys saying happened to him? If they came back with his phone and keys, they should have something to say about what happened. It's obvious though, that he is not alive. I suspect foul play, probably from friendly fire. |

They'll regret asking for meters when their consumption goes from 3k monthly to 10k. Nothing to regret about having meter. You can control how much energy you use. You can switch gadgets off to reduce your consumption. I will prefer prepaid meter any day. |

The NJC should not allow itself to be intimidated by this incompetent, corrupt, and vindictive administration. They are doing a good job of helping to maintain the independence of the judiciary. They should ignore those semi illiterates in the presidency. |

PMBNG: Atimes , I wonder what would have befall the South if these oil wells where in the North.
Just because of protest you ordered someone out of your region, what would you have done if the federal allocation came from your zone? If the oil was in the North, they would have chased everybody out of the area long time ago. There would have been no Nigeria by now. Very selfish and wicked set of people. |

dallyemmy: So what can we do about it? Fold our hands and do nothing? No, of course. First thing is to restructure the country so that we have a functional country. So that Nigerians will start seeing themselves as Nigerians, not as Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, etc. Then we go from there, and with time and the right policies, we will become productive. Otherwise we will continue to run in circles, fighting over which ethnic group would control the center in order to have unfettered access to the crude oil wealth. Right now, that is what Nigeria is all about, basically a criminal enterprise. |

Cooly100: Thanks...We should have mutual respect for each other...People of eastern Nigeria can never fulfill their God given talents by being in Nigeria...especially the way it is strutured at the moment...Once Igbos introduce anything due to their creativity...The federal government will put a northerner their as the CEO, to kill the project...I give you an example with Nollywood...Go and check who is the DG of board of Films and Control...Igbos are just being suppressed in this country...Could you explain why the DG wanted ton nuild a 3 billion Film village in Kano and not Asaba or Enugu? Any easterner who supports One Nigeria does not think beyond food for his belly... Even my very good friend from the core north, and a very senior Army Officer believes that Igbo are better off with their own country, that they are being held back by Nigeria. I was surprised to hear that from a Fulani and a Prince. |

Cooly100: This is not the issue...the Igbos and other tribes who are contagious to the SE want out...We want to be able to develop at our own pace. We want to be able to get foreign loans and develop our cities without going to Abuja to beg..We want be able to build our roads without asking Abuja, we want to be able to compete without quota system. We want to have our embassies without travelling to Abuja or Lagos. We want all foreign airlines to come to the East...we have suffered having to travel to Lagos and Abuja first...We want to go to space by serious investment in R&Development..We want out people to be employed as they are recruited into Biafra army, police,Immigration, Customs, National Guard, Biafra elite commandos, Biafra Secret Service...We want to build international Stadia in our region, etc, etc...
It will be a win win situation for the rest of Nigeria and Biafra...as development would be enhanced. We hope to create mutual relationship and respect for each other. Exactly. And this should not elicit threats of war from anybody. |

TheCabal: Visa applicants. Everybody applies for visa. Nigeria is a very large country so, for every ghanian they are proly 20 - 30 Nigerians.
You just have problems with understanding statistics. I know hardworking Nigerians travelling out for studies, medical, vacation and business - they are very proud. Nigeria is highly respected in Educational institutions, banking institutions, the united nations, world bank, imf, afdb, and common wealth.
The peace in Liberia and Sierra Leone, we supported Ghanians - though we evicted them. We were the major force in Africa behind South Africa's freedom. We give electricity to parts of Niger and Tchad. Provide IGR to Togo, Benin and the Camerouns.
The sixth largest oil producers, the largest country in Africa - the only country in Africa who has not only the highest GDP as a country but as a state. The Largest cement producer and thanks to Innoson, we manufacture cars. Fertile lands, friendly people. We have the most beautiful women in Africa and the most creative, enterprising and hilarious men. Am I proud, yes very proud.
Does Nigeria have problems, yes. Am I proud of Nigeria , yes. Do, I think Nigerian jollof is the best, ofcourse
Perhaps.. you hang out with lowlifes hence the dependence on the Nigerian state for the fulfillment of your destiny. It's actually you that is dependent on Nigeria for the fulfillment of your destiny. And if you stop hanging with the almajiris, maybe you can become productive enough to do something for yourself. I and my people have made it clear since 1967 that we want out of this hell hole. You hate the Igbo and yet you are ready to go to war to prevent them from leaving. And your President Buhari is one of those hardworking Nigerians traveling out for medical treatment abroad, right? Which other countries, that can be reasonably considered to be Nigeria's peers, have their President regularly traveling out for medical treatment abroad? How come your President does not work the talk? I don't know you personally to know if you walk the talk or just mouthing off about being proud to be Nigerian. But that still supports my statement about not having met a Nigerian that is (truly) proud to be a Nigerian. |

akthedream: HOPE you remember "Ghana must go".....go figure. You can't eat your cake and have it... Attache Not all Ghanaians were removed. We still had Ghanaians teaching in universities, and engineers and other professionals working in various Nigerian companies. In any case, I hope you remember that Ghana retaliated when their economy improved and Nigeria's went south. In any case, we are talking about something different here. I believe that the Sudan/South Sudan separation would be a more appropriate comparison. |
