How to permanently end the Biafra agitation

A Yoruba friend asked me: Under what conditions would you support "One Nigeria" and let go of the Biafra agitation and let it die down and finally laid to rest for good?

Here was my response:
1. Close down Lagos ports and open up PH, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri ports.

2. Cancel all direct and major connecting flights to Lagos and Abuja airports only local connecting flights will be allowed. While this is being done, open up Enugu, Calabar, Owerri, Asaba, Uyo and PH to international flights direct and major connecting flights.

3. Ask all international and diplomatic missions to move their embassies and consulates from Lagos, Kano and Abuja to Enugu, PH and Calabar.

4. All federal governments’ agencies in Lagos and Abuja shall be relocated to Enugu, PH and Calabar. CBN, NNPC, e.t.c shall and must relocate to PH, Calabar and Enugu.

5. All multinational companies in Lagos and Abuja, shall and must relocate their offices to PH, Calabar and Enugu.

6.All oil companies must relocate their head offices to PH, as the oil capital of Nigeria.

7. Let the northern children gain admission into federal schools with 300 score points while the South Eastern Children should gain admission with only 20 score points .

8. Let all federal road projects in the North/SW should be handled by one local companies and the one in the SE/SS should be handled by Julius Berger and foreign construction companies.

If these conditions can be fulfilled and implemented for 50years , we can try one Nigeria and let see if you the North and SW will like it for a month. Meaning that Yorubas and Hausas needing to get international visas shall travel to PH, Calabar or Enugu to do that. Same with flying or connecting flights, same with shipping and importing their goods, etc etc.

The Yoruba friend replied: You can’t be serious, this is wickedness and I said... Really? Don’t you think South South and South. Eastern part of Nigeria have been suffering and enduring this very same wickedness for over 50 yrs?

He was quiet for a few seconds and said: Wow, you are right but it never occurred to me.

I said, that’s the problem with One Nigeria, those who are benefiting from it, love it and would love to maintain the status quo. Let each region develop at her own pace, with Airport, Seaports, industries, major projects open to be developed in any part of Nigeria without government interference or strangulation due to tribalism and nepotism!

Let Nigeria be fair to ALL irrespective of tribe, religion, and place of birth. Let there be true federalism and resources control, with the elimination of quota system and federal character in Nigeria. Let's have equal respect for one another irrespective of where the person is coming from in Nigeria. That is what Biafra agitation is all about.

THE SIMPLE TRUTH

Whoever tells you that if Biafra succeed or gain her independence that Igbos leaving in the North or Yoruba land will loose their properties and that things will become worst is an enemy and is among the people that are benefiting from the fraudulent arrangement that exist in Nigeria.

Yugoslavia broke into 6 countries namely: Serbia,Macedonia,Solvenia,Bosnia Hezegovia,Montengro and heaven did not fall. They did not leave their Job,leave their formal country before voting to leave....... after voting to leave, all those in the new created countries automatically become foreigners.

Malaysia broke into 2 namely: Malaysia & Singapore and heaven did not fall.

Pakistan broke into 2 namely: Pakistan & Bangladesh and heaven did not fall

United Arab Republic broke into 2 namely: Egypt & Syria and heaven did not fall

If Biafra go, it doesn't mean we can't travel anywhere again provided we have our traveling documents ready.

Why is it that Hausas & Fulanis see Biafra break up as war? Are you not tired of sucking & stealing our oil down to Kaduna reserve, Bornu reserve, and now Liberia reserve?

Allow Biafra to go because Biafrans have suffered a lot of humiliation, intimidation & marginalisation in the hand of this wicked contraption called Nigeria.
Thanks for the enlightenment. A lot of people really misunderstand what would happen if Nigeria breaks up. To the examples you listed, I would also refer to the breakup of Sudan and South Sudan. Heaven has not fallen too. The South Sudanese living in Sudan were given time to obtain resident permit as foreigners.
I would prefer to live in a restructured Nigeria as a Nigerian. But I would definitely want to become a foreigner in present day, unitary system hell hole.

It means Buhari is either Dead or finally incapacitated. That can not be his voice. They already know we can screen his voice when he uses English because we know his illiterate tenses, so someone like that boy that says he is a comedian that speaks exactly like Buhari HAS BEEN recruited to speak in Hausa and it was recorded to fool the fools.

The Creators of Earth used Rivers and Seas as boundaries.

Let River Niger and Benue become the Natural Boundary of this country so that the People up North can have their nation, while we have ours. If the SW at this stage are still acting like slaves to the Northerners, then it is a pity. In which case, we of the SS/SE do not take rubbish, we got to do something about this. Our kids can not come to face this for us. If we continue to live like cowards and transfer this same political designs to our next generation, I don't think they will be happy with us.

Our fore-fathers seceded after seeing things of this nature and here we are, even with social media and we are lame ducks.

Tufiakwa
Seconded. Nigeria must restructure or we go our separate ways.

I wonder what nairaland will look like if we were to post everyday post of Ipob members? As far as we are concerned this could have been a contrived account as we know Reno to have forged a fake white man wendall Simin to malign the past CBN governor. A sensible forum will not rely on such a dishonest character for news, but we are talking of nairaland here which has become notorious for fake news and shamelessly parade lies from know LIARS.
So, what if it is not a contrived account? I have a good number of Hausa/Fulani friends. That Hausa man's statement is very much in line with the mindset of the average Hausa/Fulani. They believe they own the country and are born to rule.
You can continue to naively deceive yourself. But for me, it is either we restructure (to give each group some breathing space) or we leave this hell hole for you and your Hausa/Fulani.

I knew it; such a criminal that was able to avoid justice for such a long time must have cover provided by some security agents. The Police needs to investigate this Evans thoroughly to arrest all those that have been protecting him. The guy is yet to confess.
I thought Evans claimed his pictures were not available to anybody. Does it mean Nigeria Police does not take mug shots?

PoliticsRe: APC Governors Back True Federalism, Restructuring by poseidon12: 8:38am On Jun 23, 2017
Now they are talking sense. Restructuring into a proper federal system is the only move that will save Nigeria. All right thinking and patriotic Nigerians should strongly back the demand to restructure. Only unpatriotic elements will be opposing such move. If we fail to restructure, Nigeria will definitely disintegrate. I am fed up with the unitary Nigeria. And I just hope that the separation will be peaceful. Those comedians saying that Nigeria's unity is sacrosanct, and who at the same time oppose restructuring, are fooling themselves.
And such restructuring must include resource control and State Police. It is time to decouple this useless system that is keeping us from progressing. To the APC governors, I say good morning. Better late than never.
My main criterion for voting for a presidential candidate in 2019 will be if the candidate is a strong advocate of restructuring. For now, I have penciled down Atiku.

Interesting to hear Fulani, the perpetual purveyors of genocide, now crying genocide. They are getting a dose of their own medicine. Other Nigerian groups being terrorized should get in touch with these Mambilla people to learn how to handle these Fulani terrorists.
Nice to know there is a group in Nigeria the Fulanis are scared of.
PoliticsRe: "We Have Resolved Nigeria Must Not Break" - Governors by poseidon12: 8:49am On Jun 22, 2017
If you guys don't want Nigeria to break, then you better start the process of restructuring. Provision should be made in our constitution for referendum. You cannot keep people together by force. Nigeria is an amalgamation of different ethnic groups. If any group feels mistreated, they would naturally want out. There is an urgent need for emergency national conference to restructure Nigeria. Otherwise, Nigeria would disintegrate.

No, GTB should explain how they concealed his transactions all these years.

CBN and EFCC has a policy which states that banks should disclose identities of their customers that make withdrawal or deposit in amounts above a certain digit.

Was this Evan using a corporate account or a personal account?

If Corporate who are the registered
How come when victims pay into an account as ransom the bank allows the customer to make withdrawal of such money?

Of course, the kidnappers collect cash. If victims are paying into bank accounts then it would be easy to catch the criminals.

Arabic is a language and it is different from Islamic religion study (IRS).
Whatever; they should just keep the religion or language optional for those who want. Those of us that don't want should be left out of it. It should not be compulsory. And CRK should also be put back there for those of us that want it. Buhari and his fellow bigots are trying to pull a clever one on us Christians. That would not stand.

Dear Apostle Suleiman,

The truth is I really don't care if Buhari islamizes Africa sef.

All i need is good roads, constant power, security, quality education, a favorable economy, jobs, and basic social amenities. That's all

He can scrap CRK for all I care, afterall, there are missionary schools that still offer them, and besides the secondary school in a village in Anambra State isn't offering IRK either.

We need good governance. All these hullabaloo about islamizing this nation is distracting us from the real issues. Let's request for basic human and social needs first.
Well, I don't know which region you are from. But my people will not allow the tribalist and religious bigot you guys call your president to force Islam on us in the Southeast.

How did they know that the so-called emeka was the insider for the kidnapping of the escaped pharmacist? Was it revealed to the captive while he in captivity? If so,that could have meant they intended killing him after they fleeced him to the maximum.
The report I read earlier before Evans was arrested, on the escape of the Pharmacist/CEO says that while the victim was in captivity (and family had paid #100m, the Emeka came to the detention camp and wanted to know why they are still keeping the victim alive). The victim said he recognized the voice as that of Emeka, his employee Pharmacist. That also made him realize that they intended to eventually kill him after milking the family. That is why he decided to take the risk and escape.

The native doctor should be arrested. He is an accomplice. His wife should also be arrested. His wife would help to track down his hidden properties and bank accounts especially outside Nigeria.
The victim that paid $1.2m said that Evans always traveled out of the country after collecting ransom, obviously to go hide the money abroad. The Police should look for his hidden money and properties in countries he traveled to: Ghana, South Africa, Canada.

They own Nigeria. They own the Niger Delta oil also.
That is why the Igbos begged them for Nigeria's unity and the Yorubas work under them.
Dangote gets subsidised foreign exchange while other businesses suffer and perish from high rates.
That is how our country rolls while Igbos and Yoruba people fight over whose tribe is the worst, Hausa/Fulanis are expanding their ownership of our country.

But i think that sugar actually made in Nigeria, it might be foreign brand
I don't think there's any made-in-Nigeria sugar. They import the sugar in bulk and repack them in small retail packages. The local investors should be encouraged to go a step further by also producing the sugar locally as Nigeria used to do before.
In any case, I am usually against outright banning of imports. The government should instead increase the tariff to discourage importation and encourage local production.

I had a similar experience sometime last month. But thankfully, the story had a divine twist. Our escape was a sheer miracle... Even more miraculous than what the OP described.

I was in a commuter bus heading to Abuja, and after Lokoja - somewhere before or around Abaji - while I was busy replying an email on my phone, I was jolted back to my surroundings by a sudden, collective, desperate cry by my fellow passengers: 'ndia bu ndi ori, ndi ori o; driver move o move o, ndi ori ndi ori o' I looked up to behold Fulani-looking gunmen on the road, in front of our bus. Like the OP described, one of the brigands was right in the centre of the road, with his brute finger poised on the trigger of what looked like the 'industry standard' AK-47. Two others flanked him to the left and right.

To make matters seemingly worse. Our driver was a complete novice to these kinds of experiences. Rather than damn all consequences and force his way though (like in the OP's case), the idiot panicked and stamped his foot on the brake, fidgeting and waiting, as the brigands advanced menacingly towards us. At that point I had resigned myself to fate.

However, as the good Lord God of Heaven would have it, believe it or not, at that very moment, an oncoming private bus with a police escort in the front seat emerged from nowhere. The escort, on sensing what was happening, released a flurry of gun shots which forced the brigands to scamper in all directions while the bus with the policeman zoomed off, at that point we all shouted at the transfixed and confused driver of our bus to follow suit. Only then did the idiot pedal down and escape from the scene.

I have no idea what qualified us to benefit from that kind of spectacular coincidence... An oncoming bus with an armed security operative happening upon us at the very moment of our need, in the middle of nowhere.
That's a miracle right there. This should call for testimony in the church.
