Even if the result is fake, the 3 years ban and the defamation is not tenable as she's a minor.
Is a 19 year old a minor?

Perhaps, when Jamb reduced her mark, they also increased her age.

She is 16...does she look 19 in your eyes ...they sold fake news to u and u took it hook line and sinker
In other words, JAMB reduced her marks and then increased her age.

You seem to be limited to Nairaland alone.

It's possible the little girl didn't even know her certificate is fake. She needs to say how she got her result, they are some discrepancies with her result, some features are different from what applies.
The latest comment from JAMB registrar is that the inflation of the score COULD NEVER have been done without her knowledge as some things that are personal to her will be required.

punchng.

Of the Jamb exam is CBT why are students not getting their results immediately. It will not take some weeks before they start announcing them. Just curious
Reason being that Jamb reviews the conduct of the exam including the CCTV of the centers ( I don't know how they do that) , filter the cheats etc before releasing the result. These takes some days.

Did you see where I pointed out faults even in Jambs own system....if you even go back to the era of paper and pencil do you know how many people Jamb gave wrong scores back then....so why is Jamb behaving like a Saint. Have they not made errors in the past...they should go and do proper investigation as to what happened and stop screaming that the girl did one thing......

Do your investigations before you bark.
If the result was forged, how was it done. Who did it. Are you saying that girl used a computer to do it, if she did, how was she able to do it.

No be to day shout up and down.
Why are we acting like we are saints in this country.

The one INEC did in Rivers state, some people are calling it wonders, people are here screaming over Jamb score... something that maybe one Jamb staff is an accomplice.... Abeg jare
Just to update you even while admitting that I am barking ( wonderful complement though), it will cure of your stupidity if you can go to punchng now and read the Jamb Registrar' s statement released about an hour ago.

Good night.

This is stupid report
That girl didn't falsify her result anything
Someone did it for her. She might not even be aware...

Has this same Jamb not given people two different scores in the past.
Did this same Jamb not give people two different scores in 2013.
Did this same Jamb not show students courses that were not accredited in different universities and make these students chose it only for them to enter the school and be admitted for something else...

This error is either from Jamb or someone did it on behalf of the girl without her knowledge.
Jamb should stop barking. They should go and work on their system.
On the day the elephant dies, all manner of knives will surface...... african proverb.

Since this saga began, we have seen all manner of arguments defending the girl.
Now, that you are even telling us someone must have done the fraud for the girl " even without her knowledge", all I have to say is I GREET YOU SPECIALLY.

Indeed, we have seen the good and the bad. It is time for the ugly.

In all of this, the larger Nigerian society is the biggest loser.

You are rest assured of the total support of your tribe and kindred even when you fall short of a standard.

No wonder, we are where we are.

1. I don't doubt for a second that JAMB website could have encountered glitches, thereby giving her a wrong print out,
Anything is possible in this shithole country.

2. I have no doubt in my mind that the young girl is a very intelligent girl.

3. What I have been struggling to come to terms with is why she has a different slip from what JAMB issues now.
According to JAMB they stopped issuing that pin 2021. I wish someone offers me a good explanation for this.

4. If at all her result was forged, she must have been misled by some bad company.

5. I wish this young intelligent girl comes out of all this a winner, I wish her well.
For your no. 3, there is nothing you need as an explanation. The exam body has proven it's case beyond reasonable doubts

No. 4. The result was clearly and obviously Forged. There is no doubt that there may be a trailer load of people who are accomplises in the whole saga.

I'm even more worried about the authentic top scorer, dont u think they wanna take her shine?
May God bless that girl wherever she is
I am equally worried about that innocent girl too.

But, I take consolidation in the fact that she is Igbo because if she were to be of another tribe, people would have been calling for a cancellation of the exam all together and where that is not done, the integrity of the result would have been in serious doubt.

May the devil not snatch our glory and shine from us.

What is more surprising about the whole thing is that the girl who scored the initial highest is also from the same state, but that is not ethnic profiling.

It is irritating and embarrassing...
I keep saying it, if the other girl had come from another tribe, people would have been calling for a total cancellation of this year's Jamb.

And of course, the innocent girl will have been tainted and the result of her hard work seriously discredited by the headless mob.

There is an ongoing investigation on it and this continuous statements by JAMB is very unprofessional
So you are expecting that it will or should take JAMB months of investigation before coming out with a true position of an exam they conducted?

What serious consequences?

You just come online and boast as if heaven will fall.

What are you expecting to happen to this inconsequential rat of a baby cheat and fraudster?

Rubbish!

If true, the girl looks so young to have done that without the help of some adults.

The igbós are crying foul but another girl from the same state got 360 and nobody is making any noise about it.

The girl that truly got 360 is not rewarded but a questionable result owner is.

Haa Igbo nation!!!!!!?
This blatantly supported crook has taken the limelight and glory from the innocent, brilliant girl who got 360.

All thanks to a sick populace that are crooked bit want a corruption free society.

Can other candidates who took UTME/JAMB this year post their results as printed in May to see if it's same format with the girl's own.
I can confirm to you that JAMB results of two years ago have candidates picture clearly embossed.

Let the investigation be concluded. And independent one also
What investigation are you still expecting?

A candidate's fraudulent result does not have her picture imposed while the original result released by the exam body clearly shows the one with the picture.

Why not find out from candidates that wrote the exam?

All that is left for the candidate is bone face.

The investigation you are expecting should show what exactly?

Nigerians have learnt something new again with this saga.

If the girl with the correct leading score had come from another tribe, people like you would have been clamoring for the cancellation of this year's Jamb.

I cannot imagine what could have happened if the real, original student with the highest score had been from another tribe.

By now, people would have been calling for an outright cancellation of this year's Jamb and who ever is that candidate would have been tainted for life.

I say once again, Nigerians have learnt something new.

In all of these, Umeh with the original highest score is being overshadowed by this fraudster.
Very very unfortunate for the innocent girl. To imagine someone.trying to steal her glory in broad day light and openly supported by a blatantly partisan, irrational thinking crowd is most pathetic.

Thank God, the commissioner in charge of Education in Anambra has acknowledged her feat and given her a scholarship while confirming that it took the cheat several days to come to her office when she requested her to come before appearing with the crooked result.

Once thing is, Nigerians have learnt some new things.

If Innoson thinks that Jamb is witch-hunting her, he should provide lawyers that will defend the girl in court. Its wish proposal for civil servants to retire at the age of 65.
Every modern society thinking how to push up their retirement age.

But my fear is nigerian at the age of sixty years old is already sick, and we have bad health care system to take care of people.
So there would be record high absence from work for such group of workers.
At the end it might not make sense.
But the government can give it a trial to see how it goes.
Must we copy what every modern society is doing without considering the peculiarity of our own society?

Thank God the two other paragraphs you wrote have taken care of that.
