Aiico insurance is the best. However, you could have just tell them you need Schengen travel insurance for 1 year, which is what you require.

WTH? I said in my opinion, it's not a cause for alarm... They would resolve it naturally... Otherwise upon maturity we settle the issue, no stress. I'm not even in Nigeria.

I bidded through the primary market about 1-2 months ago. Two previous TB investments are reflecting on my online profile, but the last one is presently not. Around last week it reflected and it disappeared again, followed by debiting and crediting of my account.... I guess they have system issue which is no cause for alarm. In the worst case scenario, one can show account statement as the the evidence.

Hello Tbills gurus,
I have a concern. I did a 1-year Tbills (Secondary market) investment with GTbank about 2 months ago. They debited my account minus the interest and I saw the Tbills investment reflected in my online account profile.
But 1 month ago, they created my account as if the investment has matured and debited it again same day. From then on, I didnt see the Tbills investment in my account again. I was worried as this was quite unusual.
I have asked and they said that I should not worry that it is a problem with their internet platform to be fixed soon. Till today I have not seen the investment in my account.
I know something is not right somewhere within the bank. Has anyone experienced this kind of tbills problem with any nigerian bank?

This is why I don't trust secondary market t-bills. The bank can play games with your money.

The same thing happened to my last TB investment with GTB and they are yet torevert it. I think they have an issue, which they would resolve whether they like it or not. You don't have to panic because your account statement is your evidence.

The easiest way is just go and rob your bank. Then deposit the money into your bank account. Then apply for Tbills in the same bank..

Are you sure you didn't invest in fixed deposit? Better confirm from them.

You don't have to stress yourself looking for a sponsor. From all you have said, if you indeed have N200-300k go and deposit it in your account stating it as your personal savings on the application form. No one would ask you where you got just 300k from! Best wishes!!

Simply put, your profit in percentage is the same regardless. However, your actual profit in Naira is a function of your principal and tenor; the higher you invest the higher your absolute profit.

I want to ask if he can live a comfortable life with this living expenses budget or if any available way he can work since he's on a research masters program and not by course work to augment his expenses.

As a student, a prudent individual can make do with just €300-350 monthly (depending on lifestyle, of course). If you are on scholarship, you need to properly review the scholarship terms to see if you have the right to work, and to what limit if allowed...

Well, I have stated my objective observations about the country in my posts. It might be a bit easier for you if you have some cash to throw around before you finally settle down. I'm quite sure you'll get your permits soon, once you show good amount of funds.
The languages (Suomi) is often used as a pretext, but if your business is online you should be ok.

I think it's better to live in a bit big city such as Tampere/ Turku/ Hameenlina... (Helsinki might be on the too expensive side) because of the opportunities that may be open later on. In addition, racism may still be a bit tacitly pronounced in small cities/towns...

Tampere is really cool, and Turku is also lively.

I know you can make some deductions from my post, but how you were so certain I'm done is what surprised me... Many people don't know I'm done self...

Anyways, the fact is that they generally don't know how (or don't want) to teach here you have to learn everything you'll learn from the scratch by yourself (most times). I'm not talking about spoon-feeding (I hate it personally) but there are some basic things that need to be taught especially in some advanced courses... Anyways it not easy... If you have time on your side you can develop several skills; the system is good... Somewhat of self-paced learning

I have Doctoral funding with my prof. already, though I'm still considering other options... (lips sealed).

I'm more determined than an average Joe. Most people here get broken and disappointed along the way.... People here don't tell how things really are to prospective students... If people were sincere in answering the questions I posed before resigning and moving to Finland then, I wouldn't have gone there. I'm not saying Finland is bad, but if you have something good doing in Nigeria it's better you go to another country no matter the stress involved (it's an investment that pays off later on).... As for links, you have to search out that on your own; that's part of your required research skills. With good grades, impressive GRE score and good recommendations I believe you'll be fine (say in US/ Canada).... Of course, not everyone can get full scholarship and grant in Canada, a fact!

Modified: I just noticed that you got full funding... That's still very good for you.... My advice is mainly meant for someone with no/ partial funding. BTW, how did you know I've graduated

You people are competing with average Asians (Indans, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis....). You are probably better than most of them as a serious Nigerian student. There is only some kind of bias towards black (lips sealed)....

I'll advise any of you with determination to process other countries.... Preferably Canada... Thank me later.

Your mate wey dey wear tie go work for 9ja go dey live for rented apartment for mainland dey suffer for traffic dey go work for island and it would take them years if at all they can to earn equivalent of that sum in Naira. With a 1st class (if you finally make it), I'll advise you to apply to unis in UK or Canada. Don't come to Finland- My two cent.

Hello everyone, I salute you!

I am currently a master's degree student in Finland with just one session left to round off. My GPA has been impressive so far and I hope to finish close to 5 point. I intend to move to Canada during the fall of 2017 for my PhD but I would still be working on my thesis by the time the admission process ends in January 2017, although I should have completed my course work by then. Will I be good to apply as it is obtainable in USA and UK schools?

Need not say that I have recently started doing some basic research on Canadian educational system (admission and funding opportunities), and I have identified two universities (McGill and one other) that offer research opportunities in my field of interest. However, my main concern is about funding, I would like to learn first hand from people who have recent experience with funding opportunities in Canada... Where should I turn to, what is the probability of getting funding from the university or other Canadian government bodies...?
