This makes a lot of sense. Men are polygamous in nature, period. Otherwise why will a man have a wife that satisfies him in every way yet he still has a side chic or two? While a married woman on the other hand is disgusted and would even cringe at the thought of any other man touching her.
If a woman cheats, her man is not satisfying her. But if a man cheats there's a million reasons, clearly it's the chromosome. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Can You Be A Christian And Not Go To Church? by pressplay411(m): 7:15am On Jun 26, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord: Christianity and confusion is like 1 & 2, they claim to talk to the same Holy Spirit but they can't agree on anything
Let's ask Christian sects how to define Actual Christianity:
Methodist: It is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and publicly sharing that acceptance by getting baptized through sprinkling of water.
Baptist: No, no, no -- you must be DUNKED in water, heathen.
Pentecostal: Yer both wrong -- ye must be baptized by the Holy Spirit and ye must speak in tongues to prove you are saved.
Lutherans: You don't need to do any of that. Our founder said just believe and have faith (oh yeah and he REALLY hated Jews).
Presbyterian: How droll -- lol. No no..you see it does not matter what you do or do not, God has already decided who the true Christians will be and they are obviously all Presbyterians.
Episcopalians: Well, we each get to decide what constitutes Christianity. What is in your heart? What do you think it is for you? What say you, Bishop Spong?
Church of Christ: None of you are going to heaven because you use musical instruments in your services and God hates that.
Jehovah's Witness: Something Something Kingdom Hall; something something no birthdays, no blood transfusions
Seventh Day Adventist: Pah! None of you even have the right day.
United Church of Christ: It's all good; let's listen to an acoustic guitar solo and accept gay people.
Non-denominational: Gay people? ewww. No no, ye must build megachurches with gyms and cafes to be righteous to god.
Catholic: Ummm....oldest sect here, guys. Forget that "accepting Jesus" stuff. You must mediate with God via a priest and eat crackers to get saved (just do not leave your kids alone with said priests, OK?). Oh yeah..and Virgin Mary is way cool.
Church of England: Yeah, what the Catholic said...but divorce is 100% OK. Unitarian Universalists: Why are you guys even trying to define Christianity? All beliefs are the same (whoops.we aint even Christians).
and the confusion goes on and on and on, each sect believing their sect will make heaven while others are heading to hell
our "True Christians" should visit this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3844519/meaninglessness-deep-personal-relationship-jesus and give explanation and clarifications as the spirit leads Thats deep. Nice one. The ambiguity of the bible leaves room for these disparities and misinterpretations. Yet that's just Christianity, we haven't even delved into other religions. I mean even the Bible says God practically endorses Judaism. What amazes me is how everyone twists the narative to suit their interest. Even the direct communication and interactions between God and the Jews as vividly described in the Bible, viz speaking with a loud thunderous voice, or cloud of smoke, sending down manna, splitting the sea, etc are suddenly no longer the way God operates, how convenient. Dont even get me started on Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism or the millions of religions that exist and their claim to divinity. Lets not deceive ourselves, religion is a scam. But it's a scam the people believe they need lest their lives becomes meaningless and without purpose. Opium for the masses indeed. There are natural laws, secrets carefully observed from nature of how the world works. These laws were indoctrinated into these religions and rechristened such as tithe, holy spirit, fasting and prayer, faith, zakat, etc. This is why you find that each religion actually works. They follow natural laws and principles. OP says his sister in law stopped fellowship in church altogether, yet she "believes" as long as she prays and reads the Bible, she's a christian. Don't be shocked that her prayers are answered faster than those who never take a day off from church. Cos at the end of the day it's all about her faith, how strong is it? That said, the beauty of religion is in recognizing its purpose and not letting it consume you. Man created religion, not the other way around. |

ITbomb: And this fear keeps Africans on the lowest level of spirituality when others are having a close and higher relationship with the Almighty as Apostle Paul said in Hebrew 4 : leaving behind the first principles... and pressing towards perfection (the fullness of the Godhead). How can we press towards perfection when we are afraid of knowing how things work.
Back to the topic, the speaking of tongues we hear in most churches is just gibberish. Where the Holy Spirit works, there is order and you will feel the solemn presence of the Almighty even without a sound This is part of the ambiguity of the bible that creates room for misinterpretation. My deduction when bible said the apostles spoke in different tongues, it was referring to tongue meaning language. It clearly stated that foreigners were able to understand and identify the apostles who suddenly began to speak their ongue. But trust 9ja, everything overdrive. |

patval: Lollll!!!! ogbeni calm down because I have seen type severally, though I have not met with you,I can decipher where you belong through your shallow lips patriotism and sympathy towards dullard buhari. Let me tell you, no amount of defense can exonerate dullard buhari from this mess he plunged the zoo into so he better wake up from vegetable and take responsibilities for his ill-informed policies. I have not benefitted anything from the zoo cos I paid for everything I enjoy, I am even overcharged when I use the zoo property or services. what happened on May 30th is enough to convince a sane mind that Igbo's are unanimous in their quest for Biafra. Yes frustrated low life igbos are unanimous in their pseudo Canaan biafran dream. News flash, your intelligent rich and wealthy igbo leaders are constantly pleading insanity on your behalf cos they know unlike you who has nothing to call property, they have a lot to lose. Dont worry, your cry for Biafra is finally gaining attention, I pray you get the referendum soon. Youre so consumed by hate, sadly you blame everyone else for your misfortunes, try looking at the mirror for once. |

obembet: The Ibos want Biafra The North wants Ibo's exit The Yorubas want Ibo's exit The Ibos are saying "we have investments in your areas and cannot leave them" And the fight is being cooked.
Amongst all these, the President is in London Governors are sharing bailout funds Workers salaries are not paid Government officials have their children schooling abroad Ministers and senators are looting
The poor Hausa man is riding Okada The poor Ibo man is riding Okada The poor Yoruba man is riding Okada
The poor Hausa man sleeps under the bridge as Alamajiri The poor Yoruba man sleeps under the bridge as Alaye The poor Ibo man sleeps under the bridge as agbero
It is pertinent to note that the poor from all ethnic groups in Nigeria have everything in common and so is the rich.
Do not allow the agitation of an Ibo man who lives in UK or USA for Biafra cause the killing of the Ibo man in Adamawa. The rich hate us that much. Do not allow the Alhaji whose children are living abroad to persuade you to go and start killing on the street of Kaduna.
The problem in the country is not the agitation of any ethnic group but the unity of the elite and the disunity of the masses.
How many times have you taken your agitation to question your local government Chairmen?
Why have you not asked your Governors through agitation how they spent bailout fund?
Why have you not agitated against that government official whose mansions you go to beg for help?
Sad to note; All the Governors love themselves All the past Presidents love themselves All the senators love themselves All the top government officials love themselves All the looters love themselves
Why can't you and I love ourselves? Why cant we combine efforts and fight them? Why do we fight ourselves? Why do we allow them the freedom we don't have?
Remember; a good Nigeria is better than a good Arewa, Oduduwa or Biafra.
#One_love_Nigeria. Well said. |
