488 is not a bad score and you will get ITA soon, don’t complicate issues for yourself. Many have mentioned that it worked for them but no two journeys are the same, and recently I am beginning to see this as a new trend amongst people and if not careful that route will be closed forever and forever. Remain with your 488, it’s not bad.

Hi, your result can be used to create a profile and remain in the pool. Please if you are confident in your writing, please request for a remark to push you to a 7 at least. With the new trend of very high CRS, one has to maximize every opportunity to get a high score eg maxing out IELTS. To max IELTS, you should have LRSW as 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 in that order. You may also be lucky to get a NOI while in the pool. All the best

What are you on about exactly? Do you realize that his employment can be discontinued abruptly by his employer and if that happens he is screwed as he would be required to find another employer within a short time or head back home. I want to believe the contract says he has to work with them for 3 years and no other employer in the UK and in his case, it’s a different country entirely.

@martiny Please lodge your visa first and once it has been approved, you can then decide if you want to stay back in the UK or go to Australia. To get nominated in Australia is not an easy venture.

my appointment was on the 28th of October and I got there as early as 8am and was directed to go to online desk at the first floor since I paid online. when I got to the online desk, the woman I met there told me to go the building beside the immigration office to buy a file and arrange my documents.

I went to the building and paid #1500 for my documents to be arranged then I went back to meet the woman and she said I have to pay #5000,she insisted and even gave me back my file because I refused to pay. l left her office and returned with the #5k. after I had given her the 5k,she said I should go and come back on Monday that my file will have to go through several tables before I can capture.

I left that Friday and returned yesterday, 1st November.
I got to the immigration office around 1pm and left around 4.30pm.

with my experience and that of others I met there, I think you have to open a file like days before your appointment date.

She played you and you fell for it. You paid those monies into their hungry pockets. She has hijacked your file. I wish you all the best from here onward.

Greetings good people, my wife and I went the DIY route and choose Shagamu center for processing. Now today is suppose to be her bio capture date, but we cant find any document to show the appointment date selected. All we have is our paid application form and receipt. is there a way to confirm our appointment. when i tried the passport Application Tracking, i got the screenshot below. Also upon checking the portal, it shows i should book appointment, with available date now showing february. when i tried to reschedule, it says "booking not found".

Does all this mean i have to book afresh again?

No, just go to their office and get proclaim that you have appointment to capture. Booking for appointment date again means you will have to wait till your new date. Just go there and capture

Please for those that select the option of "Two or more certificates" can you share the WES comments for the second certificates?

I evaluated ICAN, and the second picture below is the evaluation outcome, the remarks in there is my concern.

Also a friend that recently relocated to Canada through provincial nomination also evaluated ICAN (With same evaluation remarks) selecting the option of Two or more certificates.

You have been advised to not use it. The words used in your report is very clear enough. Your friend was able to scale through because with the 600 points he got from provincial nomination and the ICAN removed, he still had enough points to follow through with his application. If you try it at federal level and points are recalculated and it doesn’t meet up with the invited score used in the draw that got you an invite, you will be served breakfast and judicial review may not be able to save you.

The ID must have a verifiable chip. I believe there is a reason FG introduced the chip probably to avoid replication by business centres. I would say thread carefully to avoid being blacklisted by the exam bodies.

They don’t accept Drivers License , where did you get this information from? The only acceptable ID is your passport or National ID Card. NIN slip is not even acceptable.

I advise that you go there with your slip and old passport (if it’s renewal). Your passport may be ready since some of the offices eg Alausa has issues with their SMS platform. My tracker didn’t change until I received my passport.

Can you please stop typing unverified facts with so much confidence. I am DIY and I have gotten my passport, what do you have to say about that? There are lots of people on this thread that were DIY with NIN issues that have gotten their passport, what do you also have to say about that? If you have NIN verification, all you need to do is visit a NIMC accredited office for correction and once the correction drops, you are good to go. Many have had the issues and they had it rectified. If you want to pay, please go ahead and pay your agents to assist you. Guess what there is nothing special about people that paid agent, las las, you go in faster for capturing, nothing more, but don’t come here to mislead people.

How did you know it’s not out yet? Have you gone to their office for collection or you are waiting for text message to inform you? If your response is the latter, please go to their office with your enrollment slip, your passport may be out and chilling.

You wouldn’t know until you go to the office. Captured 4th of August in Alausa and got my passport yesterday 17th of October and up until when I went inside for collection, my tracker didn’t change. It only change when I checked after I got home.

I applied to renew my international passport using the DIY process. And I can only say those officers are hellbent on frustrating DIY people but we won’t stop advocating for it.

Captured: 4th August 2022 This was a breeze, didn’t pay a dime even though the friend I thought I had whom I approached to see if there was anything he could do because the two months wait for capturing was too long tried to hijack it and turn it into a money milking situation however I called his bluff and told him I didn’t wait for 2 months to enrich their pockets just for capturing alone (Those people know no friends when it comes to this).

I saw a website for tracking today so I decided to track my application and got the biggest shock of my life. My portal is yet to be updated at all. It’s been over 3 weeks since I captured and my profile is still like this. Is this normal?

Update: Passport collected yesterday 17th of October 2022.

Paid: 30th of May 2022.
Captured: 4th of August 2022
Passport received: 17th of October 2022

Issue date: 1st of September (This simply means my passport was lounging with them until they were ready to part ways with it ) now the 9th of September I have on my slip as official collection date makes perfect sense now but e be like say na as the spirit direct for them or there may be other processes it needs to go through after production.

No text message, application tracker not updated until passport was received and I simply tracked out of curiosity after I got home and saw it has been updated.

The real truth? There is no fast track generally especially in Lagos passport offices, however, there are levels to these things as a few of those officers based on their level or unit within the NIS may be able to fast track for you (so don’t come for me on how your contact helped you within 2 hours )

Most of them will just collect your money and be posting you. At the end of the day, you will get your passport about the same time as team DIY.

Today some were lamenting about how they paid for DIY and were yet to get their passport while some lamented on how they were just getting their passport today after the fast track. Mind you these are people who captured about the same time as I did, some even way earlier than I did.

If it’s not a matter of urgency, don’t waste your money, just go via the DIY method, as a matter of fact if we all stop encouraging them to be corrupt, life will be easier for everyone.

I got a rejection letter stating I did not meet the requirement regarding my job requirements however, I'm lost on why they arrived on this decision cos the job declared was under type 0 which I provided the required documentation.

I empathize with you on the situation you are faced with. Are you PNP? If yes and your nomination is not expired, I think the best thing for you to do is to go back into pool, get a new reference letter from your HR matching with the NOC code 0621 you chose and get all forms of proof if applicable like employment letter, promotion letter, email signatures to cement your point. However if you are not PNP and you are federal, if your point is still high, please do the above mentioned however, if your ITA was from the last draw of December 2020, appealing is your best bet. Send them an emotional email addressing where you think the errors came from, you can get the MP of your intended province to intervene on you behalf while also backing it up with the things I mentioned above and wait to see if it would be reopened.

Team DIY. I captured on the 4th of August and I got the information that my passport is ready. A friend who knows an immigration officer told him to help me check and he confirmed that it’s ready. I plan to go there tomorrow or Monday. So I think you should go check because I hear their text message platform is not working as it should.
