@Jenniangel, in my opinion, I think you are good to go with your SINP application as long as your first degree correlates with the NOC you are claiming. You didn’t claim point for masters, you won’t be penalized for that. You may DM for further clarification.

When you say one or more certificates what exactly do you mean?

Your result is okay, you maxed all except reading where an 8.0 would have given you maximum point in Language. You can use other experiences provided it’s eligible under express entry, it doesn’t have to be related with your current field as you need 3 years experience for your points to make sense but on a second thought, your current job will be 3 years by January so that’s not much of a problem and I think it would suffice.

The most important thing here is your education, a short course that can be evaluated positively by Wes like ACCA, BCS, CIMA, CIIN, CIPM etc is what you need to claim two or more certificates and boost your scores to 460s to 470s region.

Please list out your IELTS result according to LRSW. No one cares about your overall band score as it doesn’t determine if your IELTS is superb. How many years work experience? Your Bsc only is also a problem. You need at least a two or more certificate to boost your education point.

If your wife has no qualifications at all. You are the better candidate, however the BSc may not give you enough point, consider taking a short course like Acca, CIMA, BCS etc to claim two or more certificates so as to boost your score, evaluate both credentials, Write IELTS and aim for scores LRSW- 8.5,8.0,7.5,7.5 and if possible, let your wife write IELTS too. Find your NOC, ensure it’s under Teer 0,1,2 & 3, get into the express entry pool, while waiting try other means to boost your CRS score eg French, Job offer (can be an Herculean task but not impossible with determination). As someone rightly pointed out, if your occupation happens to be in demand in a province and you have the minimum CRS score they are selecting for the rounds of draw, you may receive NOI (notification of interest. All the best and your wife is lucky to have a very thoughtful and loving husband like you.

Asking people to focus on provincial nomination these days is simply limiting their chances. The provinces are changing requirements. The last draw Alberta did for example had the lowest CRS score being invited as 473, there are rumors that they did a new draw recently (website yet to be updated) and so far one of them has a high CRS score of 487. First thing first, your noc determines your chances with the provinces. Yes he stated he has been in the banking sector for 9 years, Banking sector doing what? Operations? Funds transfer? Teller? Customer service? IT unit? Corporate Banking? Etc I think those are questions that needs to be asked before asking people to sit around and wait for PNP.

They will not! Stop complicating your application. A lot of people with masters have gotten visa for a second masters, it’s all about how are you are able to convince them via your statement of purpose for visa.

No you can’t create a profile with that result. You need a minimum of 6 across all borders to be able to create a profile. Consider rewriting and aim for LRSW 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 respectively to get the maximum scores for language. The current express entry draws have passed just aiming for 8777. The journey is now tough except you may be lucky to be get a NOI from one of the provinces that picks from the pool until then just aim for the best scores.

How do I track my application now? I’ll be grateful for any assistance. I captured August 22 at Ikoyi for renewal.

Please leave tracking for now and go to their passport office with your slip and old passport to collect your new passport.

Don’t get it twisted so don’t pay dearly for it. It’s not about what you studied but what you have an experience in. So what is your occupation? What are your job duties? No one cares about what you studied except Saskatchewan PNP.

The organisation offered to nominate you with the hope that you will work for them. While the 186 doesn't restrict you to the employer, it is only fair if you stay with the employer for two years as a thank you.

But this other employer that he or she mentioned is in the UK not Australia.

There are two segments that requires update, the occupation and work history segment. If you update only one and transmit , your profile will be rendered ineligible.

I need advice. I am planning on migrating to canada via express entry (currently in the pool with a CRS of 485) but this would be without my wife and son as this would drop my crs score considerably. The route i plan to follow is to apply for a visitor's visa and spousal sponsorship when they come over.

My questions are how long would it take to get a visitor's visa and can i start this process at any stage while in Nigeria? (Potentially when i get
a PPR?)
