Househelps kind of lightens the load for the couple or let me say the wife. For the good once without any evil intention, their assistance is always of value to those they serve. Those who cannot afford to buy household equipments like washing machine and the rest and who have kids and work long hours always end up taking a househelp not because they are lazy or cant take care of their homes and kids but because it is necessary for them to get external hands. But alot has been heard about the damages they have caused their employers. Stories like husband snatching, getting pregnant for their madam's Oga, stealing and worse witchcraft. In Benin, there are countless stories of housegirls introducing the kids they look after to witchcraft. Just last week, my friend told her aunt in the village to help her look for a girl to stay with her and look after her kids when they are not around; you needed to see the way she screamed fire. She said that 80% of all the children in their village have been been bewitched, of course by their peers and mothers. Now how do you know who is a witch and who is not when they all have the same innocent looking face? I have an aunt who works and has 5 kids and has never had anyone live with her to help take care of them. Because of the stress and exhaution, she is never looking well. While i commend her efforts and superwoman abilities, i will never subject myself to such punishments. Her reasons are she doesnt want to end up with a witch. Well, what about the friends these kids have both at home and school, their neighbours, schoolmates, even fellow church members! At the end of the day, it takes the grace of God for he is the only one who can protect our kids from the unforseen. When the need ever arises, i will consider taking a help but will first subject her to Medical test like HIV, Hepatitis A and B serum Tuberculosis test, then series of deliverance prayers. They say God help those who help themselves. Lastly its important to be very conscious healthwise of your househelp. For those who already have househelps who are above 16years, be sure to carry out the above medical test on them every 6 months for the safety of your entire family. In the course of my work, i have done such medical test for newly employed househelps and on many occasions they tested positive to those tests. A particular case is a 16years old girl who tested positive to HIV, a 14years old girl about to be employed who tested positive to pregnancy test, one other girl both HIV and Hepatitis etc. Importantly it is wise to be nice to your househelps. These people handle your children, feed them, takes care of them and most are even closer to your children than you. You dont want an angry frustrated maltreated hungry housegirl or houseboy handling your child. It is wise to treat them right afterall they are human beings like you only less fortunate. |
As much as i believe in miracles, this one is particularly "faulty". What about his driver? Was he the one driving? |
Boston Legal tops them all. Have watched it more than 10 times since i i first watched it in 2008. Desperate Housewives Grey's Anatomy Dirty Sexy Money (one hell of a movie) Alias Everybody Hates Chris Ugly Betty 24 Prison Break True Blood (i dont like vampire movies but True Blood is very interesting) Niptuck Lost was quite interesting at the begining but the producers "lost it" somewhere around season 4. Boston Legal is my favourite till date.......... DENNY CRANE.......... |

Yes, they are still twins. Jus 10mins time difference. |
Try this- after baking your cake, let cool completely then make little wide slits on the cake (all over the top of the cake), pour teasponsful each of brandy or whatever rum you have into the slits. Allow for a few minutes to let the cake absorb the rum, then refrigerate or freeze. Even without freezing, the cake will keep well at room temperature for upto 2weeks. When my younger sister was going back to school sometime last year, i baked a cake for her and two weeks after she had gone back, she called to say she was still eating the cake, and she stored it in her locker. The rum even adds great flavour and improves the taste of the cake. |
For as long as possible provided there is constant power supply. The beauty of freezing is that the food item still retains its original taste. Though not all food items are freezeable. |
So true. @op weldon jare. |
@op thanks for this nice writeup. The funny thing is all the above are part of the courses intending couples are taught during pre marriage courses in various churches. You must know one thing, some people (male or female) do not give a care in the world if their marriage succeeds or fails. Such people who already know right from wrong does not give a hoot about all written above or what they are taught during pre marriage programmes. I strongly believe a marriage will work out if the couple both have the same goal. But if one starts thinking in the oppopsite direction, i tell you, there is 98% chance that such marriage will crumble. I say this from my very experience. |
Hope y'all had a wonderful xmas celebration. Please i need help with this nagging problem with my nokia asha 302 inbuilt email service. When i bought the phone 2weeks ago, it was working fine and i was getting alerts but all of a sudden, it started giving me this message when i try to login to yahoo mail: "service no longer sopported. Account not accessible anymore". One of the reasons i bought this phone is because of this email feature. I have a feeling its not a big or serious problem but i just dont know how to go about it. Someone pls help me out. The second one is downloading problem, both nokia built in browser, opera mini, ucweb and 1browser. I cant download anything at all or watch youtube videos or any video for that matter. Youtube videos dowmnload to 60%, stops and nothing shows. Other videos give me response like bufferring and then stops. My internet connection is mtn internet and mtn access. I do not have mtn wap. I have sent settings to 3888 so many times but they did not respond. |
Disposable diaper is very convenient but it doesn't in any way make your child's health to be safe. Napkins on the other hand are stressful to maintain but at the same time cost effective and very useful. If used well, your child's bottom will not suffer from any rash as have been implied here. For those who want to use both (if you can't afford pampers only), you can use the napkins during the day and pampers at night for comfortability of your baby. Every mum should be able to do what is best for her and her baby. Never go out of your way to please others by going to buy pampers when you have little or nothing to eat. |
@puplin, please help a sister out here. Am a bit confused on what phone to buy. I initially budgeted 25k for nokia E5 phone but now i just discovered its 30k. I saw ASHA 303 for 19k. Someone said that nokia C3 has almost same features with asha 303 and the c3 is way cheaper. Which should i go for? The c3 or asha? I need a phone that can browse fast, copy and paste, read and edit microsoft word and pdf (very important cos of CV), download music and watch videos online especially youtube videos, whatsapp and other relevant applications, a phone with mail application built in (i know c3 has that), qwerty keypad, updated software like s60 etc etc. You can recommend any other reliable phone that can fulfil the above requirements and more that the price range falls around 20k. Thanks. Pls respond before i divert the money ooooooooo. |
No matter how delicious or special a bread is, the taste is never the same when toasted. I love the crunchy feeling i get when eating it hot and fresh from the pan. I prefer frying pan toasted bread sandwich to toaster machine. The only time i dont toast my bread before eating is if i‘m in a hurry or very very hungry. |
Ask google. |
All seasonings contain salt and monosodium glutamate as their major component that is why you dont need to add salt to your indomie. Next time, add the seasoning cube or satchet first before adding the salt. That way, you will thirst the soup first and decide if you need additional salt or not. |
What happens to the victims after the robbery? Since they will still be sedated, does the driver patiently wait for them to regain consciouness? |
@bossman, lol at “bb is pretty much dead“. Thanks for your contribution. |
@docjay, I wish i will get more response. Am just wondering within me if it wont be better to go for a brand new E5 instead of tokunbo bb with very low battery life span. |
@2sexy, thanks for that interesting write up. Actually the major reason am sort of considering the BB is because of the affordable internet browsing where in with #1500 only you can have unrestricted access to the internet for a whole month and you also have the pinging feature. I learnt that whatsapp is the same as pinging. Except for the reasons above, Nokia is always my choice. Totally durable with dependable battery. Someone please tell me the pros and cons of BB bold 2 and Nokia E5. |
Hey friends, please i will need the phone gurus to guide me here. I have 25k for a new phone but a bit confused whether to go for Nokia E5 or Blackberry bold 2 (used). I dont own a Blackberry yet and would love to have one now but i keep hearing and reading about funny and not too encouraging stuffs about Blackberry phones, like battery problems, internet issues, also someone said you can only surf the net if you suscribe. The basic features i want are; 1. Good internet connection 2. Long battery life 3. Ability to download music, videos and movies 4. Ability to read and edit microsoft word and pdf documents 5. Other general applications Which of the networks (i have mtn, glo and etisalat lines. The mtn is my major line) provides a more affordable and dependable blackberry service? |
1920MaMa: nah wa o! all this one so that my husband go always think of me?YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT..... |
Nice piece. Thanks for the info. Will do a bit of research on it. |
What nonsense!!! Dont belittle yourself please. This is how it starts. From calling them aunty to washing their clothes and then maybe run errands for them like a slave. Be wise girl. have a serious talk with your husband and if possible, involve your parents and his. They just don't have respect for you and your husband is doing a good job at guiding them to disrespect you the more. nuff said. |
