Thanks everyone for your contributions. I have learnt alot.
@ronke, am not planning on taking him off brea.st milk entirely. I will continue doing that till he is a year old.
@aigboma and daresh, looks like our babies are "tied with the same rope". I will take it one day at a time and let him have all the brea.st milk he offer after all its his territory for now.
@cotton, dear you have really tried for your daughter.

One thing i have heard women say during my antenatal days and post natal period is that female babies are easier to wean compared to male babies.

Madam please relax yourself ok. Your baby is just 3months old. Some babies start growing teeth at 4months, some at 6months, some at 8months. Its never the same for baby A and baby B. If your baby doesn't start teething by 6 months, it doesn't mean that something is wrong with him.
My baby is 6months plus and he hasn't started teething at all but he has started standing and can comfortably stand on his own holding onto something.

Don't ever make the mistake of comparing your baby with another. Your baby will achieve all developmental milestones when he wants.

Why don't you subscribe to mother/ baby websites so they will be sending you weekly news letters of what to expect in your baby. From my observation, i have been following them since i was pregnant till date and they are always right 99.9% of the time. You can google babycentre, smartmomma, whattoexpect or just type the age of your baby in google search bar and you will get lots of results and all the info on your baby.

Beync: Even a Male dog cannot behave like this
Don't go there o. There is a reason very randy people are referred to as dogs. I will give you a real life example. My former neighbour's dogs were born of same mother dog. The brother dog impregnated his sister dog, after delivery the puppies grew to maturity. Few months later, that same brother dog (now father dog) impregnated all his female children dogs and his sister dog again. I hope you get my drift.

Anyway @post, the title of this thread should be "MY INSATIABLE D.I.CK GOT ME INTO BIG TROUBLE, SHOULD I CASTRATE MYSELF?" Then my response would have been a big yes. You are on your own.

FamilyRe: Mothers Please Talk To Me. by PrettyCindy(op): 7:39pm On Jun 28, 2012
@ronke, he is 6months and two weeks. Its just that i can't bring myself to deny him of brea.st milk when he ask for it (and boy, he always does like his life depends on it). It always breaks my heart watching him cry when am trying to force feed him. I really don't know what to do. The brea.st milk, though contains all the needed nutrients is no longer enough for him and so i don't want him growing lean or something.

@cotton, you are trying o! You are still brea.st feeding your daughter at 1year and 6 months? You try o! I no sure say i go fit do that one.

It has been a thug of war getting my baby to eat now that am trying to introduce solids to him. He just won't eat anything apart from brea.st milk. I have tried pap, rice cereals, beans pudding, mashed potato with egg yoke, even expressed brea.st milk into the bottle for him, he refused to feed from the bottle and won't eat when spoonfed. He won't eat anything that is not coming from the brea.st. When i want to spoonfeed him, he will clasp his lips and gums shut.

I' m seriously worried because he may not be getting enough from brea.st milk.
Please how did you wean your baby? Was it difficult like this? What tricks did you use to get him/her to eat?
Your contributions will be appreciated. Thanks.
WebmastersHow Do I Reduce Picture Kilobyte? by PrettyCindy(op): 6:05pm On Jun 28, 2012
Hi everyone, i observed that when i take a photo shot with my phone or digital camera, it reads from 300kb and above. This makes it impossible to upload pics that that are large. For instance, to upload a pic to nairaland, the pic must be 200kb or less.
So how do i reduce the kb of an existing picture to 200kb or less? And how do i adjust my phone or camera to take shots of 200kb and less? Your responses will be appreciated.

FamilyRe: Which Do You Support: Marrying The One You Love Or Loving The One You Marry by PrettyCindy(f): 2:19pm On Jun 28, 2012
That word “love“ has alot of baggages. I will want to love the one i marry but before marrying him, i should at least feel something for him or like him because its the feelings i have developed for him that will soften me up into consumating the marriage else i can never ever sleep with someone i don‘t love.
I believe love grows and certain characters of the man such as kindness, way of thinking, maturity, responsibility, neatness‘ intelligence etc may make me start falling in love with him when we are married. Also in such situations, both couples have to win themselves to each other. One sided love will never work. They both have to love each other.
Op, tell her to get to know the man, let them talk more, let her understand his person and appreciate his personality. If he possesses a few of the qualities she wants in a man, she can build the rest up.
The most important thing is that the man should be the type that respects women and values marriage.
FamilyRe: Marriage: Does The Length Of Courtship Matter ? by PrettyCindy(f): 12:41pm On Jun 28, 2012
In addition to what i said earlier, both parties should be truely honest and open to each other. They should invest time into talking about their past, likes, dislikes, dreams, aspiration etc. In a situation where long courtship isnt an option, talking and honesty about themselves will do go a long way in helping them achieve closeness.
FamilyRe: Marriage: Does The Length Of Courtship Matter ? by PrettyCindy(f): 11:15am On Jun 28, 2012
I think the saying “its not how far but how well“ should come into play here. You hear of cases where a sister sleeps with her sister‘s husband and bestfriend sleeping with her bestfriend‘s husband and so on. In all the years of sisterhood and friendship, there was no pointer that such betrayal could ever happen and these are people who have known each other from birth.
What am i trying to say? Courting someone for years is NOT a guarantee for a happy or lasting marriage. Most persons who get married after long years of courtship do it out of pity for the other person and for the fact that “people will talk“. While its perfectly okay to court someone for as long as possible in order to get to know each other, a man or lady that is good at pretending will successfully hide that aspect of him or her that he or she doesnt want you to know. At the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing- prayer, praying that God should reveal the ugly and worse side of that man or woman to you. I have heard of couples who date and court for years but their marriage crashed faster than a pack of cards.
Irrespective of the duration of courtship, the major thing is for the parties involved to BE MATURED IN MIND AND HEART, UNDERSTAND, RESPECT AND LOVE EACH OTHER and most importantly, they should both have a solid idea of what marriage is all about and be prepared for it.
FamilyRe: Pls Read And Criticize Honestly by PrettyCindy(f): 7:30am On Jun 28, 2012
@op, i was in your shoes last year. Ex husband & i seperated when i was just 2months pregnant after he physically abused me. I tell you he didnt care a bit about his child i was carrying in my womb despite living within the same area with his girlfriend. The only thing that kept me going was my job. He actually wanted to kick me out of the house but i stood my ground and told him he didnt pick me from the streets nor from the gutters, thta he must rent another apartment for me. He rented another and moved in with his girlfriend. It was easy for me to cope, take care of myself, pay my hospital bills and feed well because i had a job. I never depended on my parents or asked the a.sshole for money. Because i had a job. I put to bed December and stopped working mid November. Even if i was jobless, having a boyfriend would be the last thing on my mind. And mind you i was very sexy, hot and beautiful in my pregnant state and had lots of admirers but it never crossed my mind to sleep with another man even till now that my baby is almost 7months old.
My dear please remove that nasty thot from your mind and for God‘s sake you are a married woman. Its a pity you have to depend on your parents for now and worse off your doctor advised you to stop learning the trade.
I will advice you see your Doctor soonest for checkup, if he comfirms you fit and strong, go back to learning what you were doing and if possible, see how you can get your old job back. Stop crying yourself to death. When next you speak to your husband, calmly tell him to open up to you if he lost his job or something and be ready to be understanding of whatever he tells you. Goodluck and may God protect your unborn baby.

jennykadrry: This is why I always advice women to marry men who they can control. I made sure that I married a mumu who does what I tell him. You need to find a job or your training. If you want the boyfriend, go for it girl it will serve your husband right.
You are so the fake jennyjadRRy with a double r. Our real jennykadRy will never type that trash you wrote. So i have exposed you now.

My dear girl, i actually wanted to open a thread on this same topic but won't anymore since i have read the comments here.
There is nothing wrong with internet dating ok, you just have to be careful and don't loose your head. Some persons are lucky while others are not. When its time for you too meet for the first time, insist on him coming to your location and control your emotions, no matter how good looking the guy may turn out to be, DON'T SLEEP WITH HIM ELSE HE WOULD EASILY ASSUME THAT IS HOW YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING WITH GUYS YOU MEET VIA BBM. Be wise.

Christianity EtcJehovah Witnesses And Their No Blood Believe. Good Or Bad? by PrettyCindy(op): 6:59am On Jun 20, 2012
I write this with a heavy heart.
Yesterday morning we took my younger sister to the hospital due to severe malaria and she was admitted. At about 11am, i heard screams coming from the adjacent room. I went to see what was happening and there, was lieing a beautiful young pregnant lady of about 26yrs old. She was dieing gradually right before the eyes of her husband and family. According to a nurse, she was rushed to the hospital that morning by 4am. Series of test were done and her packed cell volume (pcv- blood volume) was 14%. She was severely anaemic. The ideal thing in such situations would have been to infuse blood but unfortunately they are Jehovah's witnesses and they told the Doctor not to bother yet they couldn't afford to buy the injection which acts as a blood subtitute (costs #20, 000 for one and they would have needed four). Her husband is not rich neither is her family.
By 12noon, this beautiful pregnant lady died. Just like that. Funny i was in the room calming her mum when she gave up the ghost. About 11years ago, i also lost a dear friend because of this no blood rule thing.

So here comes my questions. Isn't it about time these people review their bible and this no blood rule?
Are they comfortable burying their children and grandchildren?
Is the bible really against blood donation?
Or are they just being plain stupid?
The worst is these people commits sin like every one else and when a decision that has to do with life and death is to be made, they choose death and will still go to hell with their sins.
FamilyRe: "Save Me From My Wife" by PrettyCindy(f): 6:29am On Jun 20, 2012
One thing that baffles me is why people change all of a sudden in marriage irrespective of whether any problem occurs of not. I believe in marriage and its values. I also strongly support that a wife should be there as a strong pillar/ladder for her husband when the chips go down (of course if the husband has been acting like a husband and not a jacka.s.s).
Ironically, men are the culprit in majority of these cases. When a man is poor, his wife stands by him, soaks garri with him, they struggle to build their lives and grow their business (if any). Then luck shines on them and the man lands a mouth watering job. Just like a chameleon, he changes and some go to the extent of leaving the woman for a classy girl. It is then you see the true character of such men. It is very few of them that treats their wives like an angel she is, like the angel who stood by him, suffered with him, prayed with him etc.

@op, sorry i digressed. These things you said your wife is doing now, is it possible she has been doing them before but you never noticed or didn't care any less? But now that the tables are turned, you tend to see "more clearly" and are now seeing faults everywhere? Is your ego and pride not playing a major role here? I would suggest you call her attention and bare your mind out. Do this in the middle of the night. Let her know that her "actions" and character are causing you a bit of pain. You might be suprised she doesn't know she has been offending you. I pray God open doors for you to get a job. Goodluck.
