A man has reportedly revealed why he ran away from his marriage. According to him, he tied the knot when he was 25-years-old and was a victim of domestic violence by his wife who always beat him because of her big size. He claimed the last straw that broke the camel's back was when she sat on top of him for almost 20 minutes which made him to faint in the process, he had to abandon the marriage.

Below is what media outlet, Human of Abuja shared online;

" I got married when I was 25 years old but I couldn't stay in the marriage. The woman I got married to was way bigger than I was so she used to hit me. I could not retaliate because I was scared of her. One time, she sat on top of me for close to 20 minutes and I fainted. That was the day I ran away from my house. I left the house for her and I never went back".

This is quite sad. A lady has died in an untimely manner - leaving her family and friends in sorrow. According to mulitple online reports, the beautiful lady died in a ghastly motor accident while on her way to visit an to meet with some motherless babies. She was said to have survived the accident - only to die later at the hospital. May her soul rest in peace.

Igueben LGA is endemic to Human Trafficking and many people within the LGA are traditionalists. Therefore, the positive step taken by HRM Ehizogie Eluojierior 1, (JP) is quite significant in the fight against human trafficking.

Yesterday, havoc befell motorists on Otedola bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway where at least 9 people were killed and over 50 vehicles burnt after a fuel tanker caused an explosion in the area. The tanker which was loaded with PMS, had a brake failure while trying to overtake a vehicle before crashing and exploding in the process.

Unfortunately 9 bodies were confirmed dead and recovered from the scene (8 adults and 1 minor) and 4 persons sustain various degrees of injuries and taken to the hospital. A total number of 54 vehicles were completely burnt as a result of the inferno.

Emergency management workers were said to have been mobilised to the scene to rescue commuters trapped in the accident.

Emergency responders who worked all night are currently removing the tanker from the road ready for opening up to vehicles. All the carcass of cars have been moved away to another location.

National Helm learnt that some motorists, who made a U-turn and attempted to flee the scene of the incident, crashed into other vehicles.

Lives were reportedly lost in the secondary accident that resulted from the confusion caused by the fallen tanker.

An able-bodied man has been mocked online after embarrassing pictures of him were circulated online in order to warn others of thew effect of excessive alcohol consumption. The man reportedly drank to much alcohol and found it very difficult to enter his home despite the door being wide open.

He fell again and again while trying to enter his house which apparently appeared far for him and impossible to do as he dirtied himself with muddy water.

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria otherwise known as the Shiite group has claimed innocence in the killing of a policeman and the chaos caused recently in Kaduna state. The group which says its members are non-violent - claimed the peaceful protest they embarked on last Thursday was hijacked by hoodlums who used the opportunity to wreck havoc and stone the policeman to death in the process.

The Islamic group shared an unseen old picture of members protecting police officers during a riot in Kaduna state many years ago.

Last week, a policeman was reportedly stoned to death in the alleged clash between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and the police in Kaduna.

The brutal killing of the policeman came on a day that the leader of the Islamic sect, Ibraheem El Zakzaky and wife, Zeena were arraigned before the Kaduna State High Court four(4) along the Ibrahim Taiwo Road in the heart of the city on Thursday.

But the trial could of the duo could not because of the absence of the presiding judge, Mr. Justice Gideon Kurada.

Members of the sect have been protesting in Kaduna since demanding the release of their leader who has been in government captivity for about two years.

Over 100 people in three local government areas of Plateau State were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday. According to the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Associate (MACBAN), the genesis of the crisis has been rampant attacks and rustling of their cows by Berom youths in Barkin Ladi Local government area.

A journalist, Lawunna Timothy Yilwada, who interviewed victims of the attacks, narrated what happened. Read below;

We were interviewing injured victims of these attacks, and what they told us turned my stomach. Tears flowed from my heart, as I see kids with wounds bored with bullets, I saw a six-month old baby girl wounded by sparks of gunshots when her mum was running with her. I saw many unconscious children who will wake up as orphans, first time in my life I saw a wound bore by bullets.

Funny enough the boys we met there told us how they lived with these herdsmen, they lived peacefully until the attack, even on the day of the attack they played football and jolly together but Lo in the evening they become terrorists and bandits, because they don't just kill them, they also "steal" their properties.

In some communities it's quiet different, the herders who stay there don't attack but the show where and whom attack.

Also in some communities the Muslims there gave shelter to people who escaped and lied to the hired mercenaries in defense of the indegenes whom the hid in the mosque.

You see this issue is made up of many factors and understanding them will aid us to know what to do, what MYETTI ALLAH is saying is a big fat lie.

what the herders are doing is pure bandits activities and the Uthman Dan fodio course, history has and history will have it that they will fail.

Two brothers, Rabiu Bagiwa and Ibrahim Bagiwa were on Sunday killed by unknown gunmen at Bagiwa village, in Mani Local government area of Katsina State.

The deceased were undergraduate students of Al-Qalam University, Katsina where 22-year-old old Rabiu was in 200 level and Ibrahim who was a year older, was in 400 level.

According to Katsina Post, their killers, stormed the family house of the deceased in the wee hours around 2am, and after killing them, shot their mother in the lap and abducted their elder brother.

This is disheartening. A man identified as Mr. Ekanem Ukeme is lucky to be alive after he survived a gruesome attack which saw him stabbed multiple times.

It was gathered that Mr. Ukeme ran into two young men in his neighbourhood as they were physically abusing a lady, he then stepped in to stop the abuse and protect her. In the process of trying to rescue the woman, the deadly duo vented all their anger on him.

They further involved all their cult members who stabbed him all over his body with knives and bottles.

According to reports, the cultist chased him till he ran into a church where he was rescued.

He was later taken to the hospital where he was treated.

According to reports, a woman has been taken into custody after it was alleged she fell from the sky this morning in Sapele area of Delta state. An eyewitness and policeman, Ilechie Collins who claimed to have witness the said incident - said that it happened at the police barracks in the area - to the surprise of everyone present.

The police officer claimed to have witnessed the event for the first time in his life as the woman purportedly "landed from above" before she was taken into custody.

The police officer took to Facebook to share the shocking news as he wrote; Happening Now:This woman fell from the sky this morning in Sapele Police Barrack to the surprise of everybody. I saw her live..

Another eyewitness identified as Ejime Twin claimed he saw the woman at the police barracks. He wrote; Is true story, I saw her at the police barracks but she will be taking to the court..

UPDATE; The woman has been arraigned at the magistrate court in Sapele where she confessed that she flew from Benin city in Edo state and was brought down from the sky after fire burnt her.

No fewer than 120 persons were weekend killed in several villages in Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Riyom local government areas of Plateau State in fresh attacks by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen, while over 200 others sustained gunshot injuries.

Pictured is a lucky woman who escaped death and survived the attack by the assailants. She is currently at an undisclosed hospital where she is receiving treatment.

However, Commander of the Special Military Task Force, Major General Anthony Atolagbe, last night confirmed that 56 persons were killed.Major-General Atolagbe, who spoke from the bush where he was directing operations to apprehend the perpetrators, also said three of the killers had been arrested, adding that they confessed to participating in the killing.

“The suspected killers have been giving useful information about others involved in the killings and their hideouts. We are going all out for them.

Also, troops have been deployed to ensure normalcy is restored,” he said.The scale of destruction in Plateau, which also led to burning of houses, compelled the state government to declare a dawn-to-dusk curfew in the affected local government areas to stave off further killings.

A Councillor from Gwale local government area of Kano State, Hon Abdulwahab A Abdul Shi, has died in a fatal accident on his way to the All Progressives Congress (APC) convention currently holding today in Abuja. The Councillor was said to have died along with two of his aides who were traveling with him as their vehicle caught fire in the course of the accident.

May their souls rest in peace.

The National Convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to elect a new set of leaders is holding at Eagle Square Abuja today.

A former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, is already guaranteed a chance to emerge as the next national chairman of the party after all contenders to the office stepped down for him.

However, other key offices such as those of the National Secretary, Deputy National Chairmen, National Publicity Secretary and others are to be keenly contested for by several APC members.

A heartbroken man has taken to Facebook to lament after a teenage boy identified as Raphael James passed away at Federal Medical Center in Lokoja, Kogi state capital. It was alleged that the deceased who was suffering from stomach pain - died due to carelessness of the 'inexperienced' doctors.

We never knew it will lead to death. He complained of stomach pain on Monday 18th June 2018. The pain was so severe that he was taken to MRS in Chari Maigumeri barracks Lokoja where he was referred to FMC Lokoja. From Federal Medical Center, late Raphael James was referred to Honey Gold Clinic for scan. The scanning was done and the result clearly shows that he has Appendicitis(Appendix) which must and should be operated that hour.

The doctor confided in Raphael Brother in a telephone conversation that there should be no further delay. On getting back to FMC Lokoja, the result was presented but late Raphael was left by the inexperienced and lackadaisical Doctors to continually scream in pain. I wonder where FMC got these girls and boys called Doctors. As I stand and watched Raphael rolling on a slim mattress in pain and these so called Doctors walk freely and press their phones with so much careless abandon of a patient whose scan result shows urgency, tears swell on my eyes.

They came intermittently to check on late Raphael and keep pressing the area he feels pain asking him how he feels even when it was obvious that the 18 years old boy was in pain. I was furious and almost shout for help but that could further compound the case of Raphael knowing how these young inexperience Doctors behaves, so I walked aside. Everything they asked for was provided, but they delayed the operation to Tuesday at noon. As at that time it seems too late as late Raphael was wheeled from the theater to Intensive Care Unit and on the Night of Thursday, he gave up the ghost.

Raphael is gone and he is gone to meet his creator. But the question is this, where are those experience Medical Doctors in Federal Medical Center lokoja that the life of innocent people are left in the hands of these modern, exuberant and half baked cosmetic Doctors? On that night, most of the Doctors on duty are not up to 28 years of age and non of them can claim to have graduated 5 years back. This is not to say there are no caring and intelligent one among them but it was an unfortunate night that Raphael met these crop of Doctors.

These young Doctors should be attached to experienced consultants or Doctors who has been practicing for over 20 years to learn more before being allowed to handle patients. Sometimes, when they are faced with serious issues, you see them browsing their phones to get solution.

This is not suppose to be. Something urgent should be done. It is Raphael today, who knows who next? It's painful to see a young boy who just finished WAEC to have died while awaiting result. Besides, where is ethics in medicine profession? Is there any at all? If yes, then it is not applied by some of these young surgeons. A quick overhaul is needed. The pain of loosing someone to death as a result of negligence is severe. James Raphael will be buried on Monday.

As a man server in Catholic Church Chari Maigumeri, there will be a Mass wake keep on Sunday at his residence, Otokiti community Lokoja. He will be finally laid to rest on Monday 25th June 2018. Until his death, he graduated from Army day Secondary school Chari Maigumeri barrack Lokoja. He is a dedicated Christian of the Catholic Church. May the soul of James Raphael and other faithful departed rest in peace.

According to reports, the owners of the shops get imported and contaminated rice, wash them and dry in the sun and rebag them for consumers to buy.

Consumer Protection Council, CPC, raided some rice shops at Nyong Essien street and a very popular rice shop on IBB Way all in Uyo. These shops get imported and contaminated rice, wash them and dry in the sun and rebag them for you and I to buy and consume.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Any Mama Gold, Cap Rice, Stallion rice you find in the market or shops are contaminated, washed, re-bagged and dangerous to your health. Don't buy them anymore because, according to CPC, importation of those brands stopped since 2015.
