A Nigerian lady who lives in Lagos - has incurred the wrath of online users after trending on Facebook for the wrong reason. The young lady identified as Linda took to social media to share a picture of herself topless as she said she's not ashamed of who she is, how she lives or how she looks.

The lady who hails from Delta state - was heavily criticized by online users who blasted her for embarrassing herself publicly. The lady fired back at her critics by saying she loves herself 100 percent and those who don't appreciate her should f**k off.

Bayelsa State Governor, Hon Seriake Dickson has again been commended for using education as a tool to change the negative narratives about the state. The overall winner of the state Essay Writing Competition, Master Africanus Noel, gave the commendation while acting as Child Commissioner for Education in the Ministry on Monday in Yenagoa.


The 14-year old Child Education Commissioner who is an SS one student of the Ijaw National Academy, Kaiama, particularly lauded the Governor for establishing world class free boarding secondary schools across the state.

According to Hon Noel, the quality of school infrastructure provided by the present administration does not only give Bayelsa students a sense of pride but also serve as a source of encouragement for them to work harder.

Describing education as the foundation for any meaningful development, he identified lack of proper education and value orientation as the major cause for cultism, prostitution and other social vices in the country.

Introducing the Child Commissioner to government functionaries in his office, the substantive Commissioner for Education, Hon Jonathan Obuebite assured that the Dickson-led government would continue to make appropriate investments in the education sector to guarantee a more secure and prosperous future.

Hon Obuebite said he initiated the Essay Writing Competition and Child Commissioner concept to serve as a motivational tool as well as promote creativity and healthy competition among students.

He noted that the initiative would enable the child commissioner to be acquainted with the art of government and leave a pleasant impression in the mind of the beneficiary.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson called on parents to take advantage of the state government’s free and compulsory education policy by sending their children to school.

Hon. Iworiso-Markson who noted that Bayelsa now ranks among the few states with good public schools in the country, also urged pupils and students to reciprocate government’s effort by taking their education seriously as there is no short cut to success.

Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of the 2018 Essay Writing Competition, Mr. Michael Afenfia described the winners as excellent. He said they were selected by a crack team of impartial judges, using grammatical accuracy, diction, creativity, punctuation, knowledge of the subject matter among other criteria.

A lady with a heart of gold decided to touch at least one life to celebrate the Children's Day. The lady identified as Emaeyak Egharevba picked a homeless boy from the streets of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and brushed him up. She cleaned the young boy up, fed him and gave him new clothes.

She also revealed that plans are being made to find a suitable orphanage where he will stay.,

Former deputy Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Hope Ikiriko escaped death after surviving a ghastly motor accident. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chairmanship aspirant of Ahoada West local government area, Rivers state, was said to be on his way to the #1MillionYouth4NewRiversState sensitization street carnival in the area - before being involved in the accident as his SUV veered off the road and crashed into the bush.

The PDP aspirant and others were reportedly injured in the process and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to the Enugu state chairman of Young Progressive Party, YPP, Bede Chukwuekezie, he was allegedly brutalized by police officers attached to the state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. He also revealed what he did when the governor asked him to enter his car after the brutalization.

At about 2:30 to 3:00pm yesterday 25th May, while returning back to YPP State Party Secretariat at 154 Ogui Road Enugu, One side of the road inside the street was blocked by the police inside the street because the Governor visited, which i was not aware until i was told. I packed my car not too far from where the police which happens to be the Governors securites were trying to block even thou i had no problem with the place where i packed, a pregnant woman had already been forced by the police to go back but due to the woman's pregnancy she could not turn back very well to go back, unfortunately while the woman was going back she attempted to harm my own car already packed and i immediately call on the attention of the woman to hold on.

Then i asked the police to help the woman as she is pregnant but they responded if he was responsible for the womans pregnancy, and they asked me to come and help, when i came down they started heating me like a criminal with their guns on my head, my mouth and eyes were like they are no longer in my body any more but the amazing thing was that people started crowding, shawting and snapping them also reminding them who they just beat, then the did has already been done and i have no choice than to close the road with the powers of the ordinary youths within the vicinity in demanding for justice.

The plea from the police to forgive were too late because there was already pandemonium. The Governor could not move any more as it called to my attention, giving honour to the State Governor, i went and the Governor asked me to join his car but i told him no, he said? AM THE CHIEF SECURITY OF THE STATE, I HAVE IMMUNITY. go and meet my aide to give you money, i felt so ashamed of my self, like do i look like an ordinary street boi? what a shame instead of making an arrangement of sending me to hospital for first aid, he chooses to belittle me before the youths who joined hands to stop the brutality of his aids.

I immediately left the Governor to Ogui police station Enugu where i was told that i slumped inside S.O office Ogui police station while they where preparing a doctors report to the Enugu State CID clinic after the Parklane hospital had rejected me thinking that i was going to die with the aid of the same police men from Ogui police station Enugu.

According to the Doctor, he said that i will be going for a number of scan and xras to ascertain the real cause of the slump. He said i was brought in a state of extreme coma and lost almost one of my eye if not well treated.

I know in the proper orientation of extreme politicians that once you fail negotiation you are already an enemy, well noted.

I will keep on saying it that Enugu cannot be a one party system, there must be competition and we are ready to reunite our people, the teeming youths who lavish every day in the fore corners of our prisons full of over drowsiness and infectious diseases. We are not against one man or any body but to call the attention to all our leaders all over the country that even a gun at the neck won't change the cause we have embarked on.

I seek good governance, nothing more nothing less and we will not back out now because we have expanded our tentacles all over the state and in the country.

A first class Yoruba traditional ruler in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has shown that he's truly a Nigerian after rocking attire worn by Igbo rulers in order to promote unity in the country. The monarch sparked controversy some months ago after dropping his traditional dresses and adopted full regalia of an Hausa emir.

The traditional ruler said Iwo was the home of Islamic scholars and that he could be regarded as an emir.

The Oluwo said he wore the Igwe dress to demonstrate his unrepentant insistence on oneness of Nigeria as a father to the nation as he urged other Obas need to adopt the system to promote unity.

He was quoted as saying the below statements at the event;

I'm wearing Igwe dress to demonstrate my unrepentant insistence on oneness of Nigeria as a father to the nation. Nigerians should integrate through occasional multi ethnic dresses. Other Obas need to adopt the system to promote unity.

"The adopted state of origin is a threat to our unity. Nigerians should be Nigerians in Nigeria. The certificate is divisive. As a Nigerian, you should be able to contest for elective positions anywhere in Nigeria. Ethnicity didn't permit this. Traditional rulers have role to play. I'm leading this and will continue to"

Prime Minister of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayiri Emami made quite an entry with his expensive classic 1965 Bentley car at a wedding event in Delta state. Many have been injured in a clash between two communities in Rivers state. It was revealed that few weeks ago, some female farmers from Nonwa community were attacked while harvesting their produce. The attack which left many injured were allegedly carried out by some youths from Ekporo community.

The attacker reportedly injured the women and warned them not to return to the farm again.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, another set of attack was launched by the same attackers on Nonwa farmers, both men and women were not spared in the attack.

The people of Ogu town are calling on the relevant authorities to come to their aid in order to prevent more violent clashes.

A gallant and well loved officer attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS has been killed just ten days after his traditional wedding in Khana area of Rivers state. According to information gathered, the SARS officer identified as Michael Maji a.k.a Mike SARS - was killed by assailants in his in-laws community, the same place where he did his traditional wedding.

The reason for his killing could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report but his friends and family have taken to social media to mourn the loss.

His close friend took to Facebook to lament as he prayed for consolation for the bereaved wife who is reportedly pregnant.. Read below;

Over six persons were on Thursday killed in a communal clash between the Mumuye and Fulani tribes in Yorro Local Government area of Taraba State. The clash, which affected three villages namely Malali, Dila and Yaladi-Depo, was said to have been ignited by the news of the killing of a Mumuye youth who was working on his farm by Fulani herdsmen.

When the news of the killing of the Mumuye man filtered into the town, other Mumuye youths mobilised themselves and stormed the Fulani settlements in the area to carry out a reprisal.

Security agencies revealed that they are on the trail of the boy allegedly said to have caused the clash.

A young lady who thought she had successfully stolen from a shop - got more than she expected after she was identified days after the theft in Delta state. According to reports, the girl went to look for work and during the interview, the Sales rep left the shop to go and pick something.

The girl used this opportunity to steal the whole money the sales rep made that day which was N108,000 and fled the shop.

However, luck ran out on her after passing the route of the shop where she had stolen from days ago as she was identified and nabbed in the process.

After being beaten mercilessly, she was taken to her home where she brought out the remaining balance of the stolen money.

A man and his girlfriend have been left in pains after being attacked with acid in Anambra state. It was gathered that on Friday, 18/05/2018, at about 7pm, Mr. Chinedu Anagor from Amaezike village Agulu was carrying Miss Chinyere Okeke and her kid (out of wedlock ) who is from Odidama village Agulu, on his motorcycle as they were going to his house at Amaezike, Anambra state.

While in motion, one Mr. Samuel Onyekwelu (Analunwataku) from Odidama village Agulu - quickly poured corrosive acid on them which affected the three on the motorcycle.

Unfortunately for the supposed attacker Mr Samuel Onyekwelu, he left his motorcycle which he packed by the gutter and ran away after pouring the acid on the victims.

Few minutes after of the incident, the youths of Amaezike village stormed Odidama village while carrying the motorcycle of Mr Samuel. They met with the Chief Security of Agulu Mr. Jideofor Ifebueme who promptly mobilized his boys to ensure the arrest of Mr. Samuel for his evil act.

At the time of filing this report, Mr. Samuel is still in SARS custody at Neni while the victims of acid attack are at hospital receiving treatments.

During the investigation, it was gathered that the cause of the attack, was because Mr. Samuel (a married man with children of above 20yrs old) was in relationship with his niece, Miss Chinyere Okeke (Mr. Samuel is the brother to Chinyere's father).

Along the line, Mr Chinedu Anagor fell in love with her and had planned to seek her hand in marriage by June 2018. Mr. Samuel objected simply because of the alleged abomination he often commits with Chinyere.

It was gathered that sometimes last year 2017, spiritual cleansing (Ikpu Alu)was performed as regard to the sexual relationship between Mr. Samuel and Miss Chinyere. The abomination was reported to have continued till when Chinedu Anagor ''snatched'' her from Samuel which made perpetrate the evil act.

Yesterday, there was pandemonium at Amassoma community, Bayelsa State, following the arrival of military men and police in the area after residents resumed their protest against the outcome of the reforms at the state-owned Niger-Delta University, NDU.

According to media reports, the security operatives opened fire on the protesting villagers who were reported to have attacked them as scores were killed and others injured in the process.

Many students of the institution had to flee the area through the forest and river during the mayhem which claimed many lives.

A security guard who lived a 'fake life' with stolen money - has been apprehended by security operatives. The millionaire guard who is said to come from Botswana, was arrested by operatives of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department after they raided his home in, Tsakane, South Africa.

According to reports, a large amount of cash ( R1.5 million) which allegedly stolen from the heists around Gauteng in the country - was recovered by the officers.
