Congratulations are in order for a Nigerian student who is making waves abroad after getting accepted into all eight Ivy league schools in the United States. The proud and brilliant lady identified as Chinaza Asiegbu, took to Twitter to reveal how her parents left Nigeria for the States with God and a dream as she's set to give them everything back and even more.

The young lady who hasn't disclosed her choice of school yet - is set to make a decision between Harvard, Stanford, Duke and other prestigious universities that are on her table.

It has been reported that a housemaid has been arrested after injuring her employer who allegedly tried to rape her. The young lady identified as Nakayanja Rashidah reportedly hit her boss with a stone on the head when he was going to rape her unfortunately the man was badly injured and after bleeding profusely.

She was arrested and placed in handcuffs as she cried at the police station while begging for forgiveness.

The sad incident is said to have happened recently in Uganda.

This is quite disheartening. Here's a picture of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly raped multiple times by her sister's husband in Oyo state. According to Abiodun, an On-Air-Personality OAP at Splash FM in Ibadan, the state capital, the teenage girl was defiled not less than 20 times.

The case appears to be under investigation as the case has been reported to the authorities.

Security at the National Assembly complex has been heightened with gun-bearing and masked operatives of the Department State Services (DSS) seen manning strategic locations within the parliament building especially the entrance into the lobby and Senate chamber where the mace was stolen two weeks ago.

Police personnel have also been increased and were seen at different areas supporting Sergeant-at-arms personnel in the screening of workers and visitors to the White House and other entry points of the National Assembly.

TVC News National Assembly Correspondent Sumner Sambo noticed that senators were being asked to go into the main entrance or White House building of the National Assembly with only one aide while all others were asked by security personnel to go directly to their offices using other entry points rather than accompanying the lawmakers to either the Senate or House chamber.

The armed and masked personnel, bearing Tavor assault rifles, are said to be deployed by the DSS as part of the new security measures at the National Assembly complex announced by Senate President Bukola Saraki during plenary last week.

The alleged ringleader of fraudsters syndicate involved in the N4 million HIV scam, Arisekola Ademeso Owoseni (Dr. Quash) has denied collecting up to that amount from their victim. Adekola, who was said to be the CEO of MCD Filmz and Record Store in Ondo, confessed to the crime in a conversation before he absconded as a manhunt has been launched for him.

Recall the victim had earlier explained how he fell into their hand. He said he received a mobile phone line recharge pin from an unfamiliar phone number with a short note that reads “sell this recharge card for your transport fare home…” The event next to this was a call from the same line, telling him the SMS was sent to him in error and begging him to send it back to them.

Consequent upon the return of the SMS, he received another call from the line appreciating him for the good gesture. At the peak of their conversation, the old man on phone did as though he saw a vision concerning him. “He told me I am living with a deadly disease, but I said no. But when he convinced me further, I affirmed his word”, Wasiu said.

The victim, from whom a few other members of his family have also contracted the disease, deeply fell into them before discovering himself.

A fatal multiple accident occurred at Fidiwo on the Ibadan - Lagos expressway on Saturday 28 April 2018 . A total of two vehicles were involved . A Lagos yellow intra city bus with registration number number AAA 886 XR , a Ford Transit bus travelling from Lagos to Ilorin who on high speed was overtaking wrongfully and collided with a Volvo truck, black coloured with registration number LSD 138XQ.

The Ford Transit Bus was earlier flagged down for speeding by FRSC patrol team that noticed the speed of the passenger bus, but he ignored the flag down order and even abused the patrol team with the use of his hand, but unfortunately barely driving five minutes from the FRSC Patrol team that cautioned him for speeding, the bus collided with the truck travelling from the opposite direction.

A total of 20 People comprising 11 Male adults and 9 female adults were involved .The total number of people killed were 12 comprising 6 male adults and 6 female adults.

From preliminary accident investigation by the FRSC, the suspected cause of the crash was speed, wrongful overtaking which led to loss of control at the narrowed section of the road where traffic is diverted to enable repairs of the weakened bridge between FIDIWO and SANDCRETE.

The corpses of the dead passengers were deposited at FOS Mortuary, IPARA. While those injured were taken to IFEOLUWA Hospital and IMMACULATE HOSPITAL both at OGUNMAKIN.

The crash scene has been cleared for free flow of traffic by FRSC, assisted by other traffic and emergency agencies It should be noted that traffic advisory was earlier issued by FRSC on the condition of the road as a black spot, warning motorists to drive with caution around the area .

A Nigerian lady is still feeling thankful one year after surviving a horrible motor accident. The survivor identified as Amara, took to Facebook to mark one year anniversary of her survival thank God for saving her and seven other passengers after their vehicle crashed and landed in a ditch after somersaulting multiple times.

According to her, she came out of the accident without any broken bones.

The negative effect of fighting was recently experienced in a recent clash between to grown up men. In a trending video footage posted by Lawrence, the two men can be seen fighting each other publicly over an undisclosed matter.

The fight only ended one of the men was thrown to the ground before falling unconscious.

Both the fighter and those watching the fight - rushed to the man's aide after collapsing.

What later happened to the unconscious man is yet to be ascertained.

Yesterday, over 300 suspected hoodlums, criminals and prostitutes were paraded by the Lagos State Police commissioner, CP Edgal Imohimi. The suspects were arrested in different parts of the state following tip offs and a routine patrol by officers attached to the command.

The police commissioner disclosed that the suspects will be charged to court accordingly after other necessary investigations have been concluded.

A man has been declared wanted after allegedly attacking a pastor whom his wife reported him to over extra marital affair. According to reports, the man's wife who is said to be a member of the pastor's church in Sapele, Delta state - reported her husband to the pastor for having an affair outside their marriage in a bid for him to settle the case.

The pastor tried to advice the man when the woman's husband claimed that his wife is being spoilt by the church.

The man later attacked the pastor and hit him with a wooden plank on his ribs as he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. The pastor who almost died was operated upon with over ten pints of blood and is said to be in a stable condition.

The suspect reportedly fled and has not been seen since after the attack as a case has been opened against him in the police station.

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and many senators have arrived at the National Hospital Abuja. The convoy arrived at the facility at 1:33pm.

The lawmakers are now meeting with the management of the hospital, ahead of a visit to Senator Dino Melaye’s ward.

The senators had resolved on Wednesday morning to visit with the embattled lawmaker who was transferred from a private hospital on Tuesday night to the National Hospital, Abuja.

Saraki and other senators were eventually admitted to see Mr. Melaye.

They are now inside the National Traumatic Centre in the National Hospital Abuja, where Melaye is being treated.

Security and legislative aides who accompanied the lawmakers were, however, prevented from entering the facility, which is being‎ guarded by about 30 stern looking policemen.

In the trending sex tape that Jack Pemba cropped himself over, Honey Suleman is seen wiggling her waist on top of a naked man with her entire body left in the open for all to see.

Honey Suleman claims that regardless of the fact that Jack Pemba does not appear anywhere in the video, he is responsible for releasing it to the public.

Reacting to the released sex tape, Honey Suleman said that Jack who released the tape in order to shame her - has made her popular and also put her in the market.

The Leadership of (DYC) Democratic Youth Congress for Buhari 2019 have finally strike out their case suit against President Buhari to re-contest the 2019 election from court.

The group under the leadership of Hon. Kassim Muhammad Kassim , Member, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, today, dragged President Muhammadu Buhari to the Federal High Court, Abuja, for his inability to meet up with the deadline given to him to publicly declare to seek re-election in 2019.

According to Kassim, they had no option but to call on the President to answer the clarion call of millions of Nigerians, both home and in the diaspora, to continue the fight against corruption beyond 2019.

According to reports, the Police have denied Senate delegation access to National Hospital ward where Senator Dino Melaye is admitted after his arrest yesterday.

The delegation is led by Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Bala Na'Allah. It includes Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Francis Alimikhena, Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and Deputy Chief of Staff to Senate President, Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola.
