A traditional priest from Anambra state has come for those who usually criticize him for his beliefs and practices. According to the traditionalist who shared pictures of him killing a goat for sacrifice in his temple, he does the same thing pastors and christian priests do when they receive animals as gift from their church members - which is killing it and praying over it.

The traditionalist said that what he did in his temple is the same thing pastors and priests do with the animals they receive from church members.

He also said that Muslim clerics do the same thing with animals they receive from members and that he's own case shouldn't be different.

Yesterday, there was a mild drama as thousands of followers of Tijjaniya Islamic sect celebrated Maulud of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass, the birth of Prophet Muhammed in Abuja… A young man climbed the street light along with others to touch the face of their leader, Sheik Inyass who allegedly appeared during the Maulud celebration.

Also, the sect members, who came from all parts of the north literally took over the major streets in the Central Business District as they parked their vehicles indiscriminately on the roads and set up camps right on the expressways.

The Muslim faithful were said to have celebrated the Maulud at the National Mosque on Friday, but motorists and residents had to contend with serious discomfort as the visitors shut down the major roads and streets around the mosque.

A policeman was injured while chasing armed robbers after an attack in Bayelsa state. This happened after a gang of four armed robbers reportedly robbed their victims around Swali area in Yenagoa and escaped towards the Sani Abacha, all through the Isaac Borro Expressway.

Driving on a tricycle, popularly known as Keke, the suspected armed robbers allegedly stopped by another man on the roadside and collected N50,000 from him and zoom off.

According to Isedirikonghen Ebi AlhaJi, the helpless man then raised alarm on sighting a Doo-Akpo security patrol van which contacted other vans and engaged them in a chase.

On getting close to them around the Opu-Nembe Motor Park opposite the Commissioners Housing Estate, the robbers highlighted from their Keke and opened fire on the police, hitting one on his leg.

Sensing that the police were closing on them from all corners, the robbers jumped into the drainage canal, evacuating flood waters to the Epie Creek. In that process, two of the robbers were apprehended while two others are currently hiding inside the overgrown weeds on the canal.

The police took them to the station alongside the tricycle they used in the operation while all corners were cordoned off by different patrol vans, in search for the fleeing robbers.

An 88-year-old man has passed away a day after graduating from Salvation Ministries Bible school in Rivers state. It was revealed that the old man apparently knew he was to die as he decided to call his children and check up on them before he finally gave up the ghost.

Report has it that the man will be buried on Saturday, the 12th of May, 2018 at Kalio Ama in Okrika, Rivers state at the exact spot he chose by himself.

Oraye St. Franklyn shared the news of the man's death on Facebook. Below is what he wrote;

It's not every day you find a man prepare himself for the glorious life hereafter. A day after these photos were taken on the day of his graduation from Bible School, he checked out quietly without hassling anyone at age 88. He knew his time had come but he wasn't going to leave without checking up on his children. So he put calls through. Who really does that? lol

"Hello people, I hope y'all are good? Nothing much just checking up on you."

How could we have known it was the last we would be hearing from him?

He'd be laid to rest on Saturday, the 12th of May, 2018 at Kalio Ama in Okrika, at the exact spot he chose by himself. You think this is made up right? Well, you'd hear from others too.

Jade Faulkner became Nigeria’s first female gymnast to compete in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia as she competed in the Team Final and Individual Qualification Sub Division 1- Rotation 1 to 3.

Faulkner, who represented Nigeria for the first time, ranked 10th overall after she scored 6.000 points in the Ribbon and 9.800 points in the Hoop. She scored a total of 33.800 points after four rotations.

According to reports, the Nigerian Gymnast who became the cynosure of all eyes after her awesome and rhythmic performance at the Coomero Gymnastics floor on Wednesday. Though she didn't win, she was the gymnast everyone wanted to meet at the end of the competition.

A man identified as Buhari has been found dead ten days after he went missing in Abuja. According to his friend Mukhtar Hamza Autan Fairah who shared the news online, the deceased had been declared missing as they launched a search for him all to no avail.

His decomposing corpse was found recently in a bush close to the military barracks in Asokoro area of Abuja, according to the report by his friend.

No one really knows what happened to him as investigations into the matter are reportedly set to begin.

May his soul rest in peace.

Governor Rochas Okorocha has directed that each of the 1,542 Corpers who passed out in the state on Thursday, April 12, 2018 be given N10,000 to enable them transport themselves back to their respective states, while the best serving corper, Miss Umetawara Lorita Ebere would get N200,000 and a job in any Ministry of her choice if she decides to stay.

Governor Okorocha told the Batch A Stream I corpers at their passing out parade at the Heroes Square, “Let me congratulate all of you for your passing out today as graduates and not only as graduates but as graduates who have served their father land. Today, you have been decorated with a new laurel of Patriotism and National Service. The idea of the NYSC is to make you a patriotic Nigerian and for you to remember your fatherland anytime and anywhere you’re called”.

He stated “I’m proud to say that the corpers in Imo State have done well and have served Imo State well. But now that you are about to leave the state I have only one piece of advice for all of you and that is to say, do not join the millions of Nigerians seeking for white-collar jobs. If I were you, I would look inwards and be your own bosses and develop yourselves with the knowledge you have acquired in the University,

“This will make you great as there are no more white-collar jobs anywhere now that you can find. There are great heights that you can attain and there are great things that you can do for yourselves. Do not congest the unemployment world. Try to be your own boss for there is something you can do and can develop alongside your talent. Because every one of you has a special talent which God has deposited in you,

“I want to also thank you for the number of months you have stayed in Imo State and there is no complaint of misbehavior of any corper in Imo State, which means that Imo State has the best set of Corpers for this Batch, totaling about one thousand five hundred and forty-two corpers.” he stated.

In her speech, the State Director of NYSC Mrs. Bakare Josephine Uche extolled the achievements of the Governor particularity his free education programmes and policies which she said have raised education to an enviable height.

She also thanked the Governor for making provisions for the passing out parade while also giving kudos to the Federal Government in their efforts at restoring the passing out parade that was halted for obvious reasons.

Team Nigeria increased its chances of finishing high on the medals table at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia with another medal in boxing already guaranteed. According to reports, in the women 60kg category, Nigerian Female Army Officer, Lance Corporal Yetunde Odunuga was too strong for her counterpart from Canada, Veyre Caroline.

The ruthless boxer punched Caroline to submission in the 3rd round which prompted the referee to call off the match which was fast turning to a one-sided show.

Odunuga has qualified for the semifinals with a bronze medal already guaranteed irrespective of the her performance when she fights next.

Combined Operatives of Operation Lafiya Dole and the Department of State Service conducting Counter Terrorism Operations in north eastern Nigeria have arrested a Boko Haram terrorist who specializes in making Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) for the terrorists group. Adamu Hassan aka Baale was nabbed by the operatives at Kaltungo in Gombe State during a Stop and Search Operation along Bauchi - Gombe road.

In a separate operation, troops of operation Lafiya Dole in a joint operation with Vigilantes on Monday evening busted a raid operation by elements of the Boko Haram terrorists rummaging for food and logistics at Kudiye community , along Dikwa - Gulumbagana Road. The four man raid team was intercepted by troops following a tip- off that the insurgents were on their way to loot the community.

The insurgents who revealed that they belong to the Abubakar Shekau faction of the Boko Haram terrorists group have been taken into custody and are making useful confessions. Troops also recovered two motorcycles, bags of grains and tamarin from the insurgents.

Meanwhile, troops conducting clearance operations yesterday killed three Boko Haram insurgents in two separate encounters in the mountainous region of Bokko Hilde, along Ngoshe - Pulka road and Mujigine general area respectively. The troops neutralised the insurgents during clearance operations to rid the areas of elements of the Boko Haram insurgents who had escaped from troops' offensive operations in the Sambisa forest. Troops also recovered two AK 47 rifles and a motorcycle from the insurgents.

It is expedient to bring to public awareness, that in its desperation to survive troops' onslaught and remain relevant in the eyes of the public, the Boko Haram terrorists group has continued to make frantic efforts to infiltrate communities with Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (Suicide bombers) to callously unleash terror and fear on the populace. Members of the public are therefore enjoined to remain vigilant and watchful while going about their normal activities and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to appropriate security agencies.

According to reports, a primary six pupil identified as Bello Salisu, of Morawa Primary School in Morawa village, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State - was hit by a stray bullet allegedly fired by operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service on Friday.

The incident was said to have happened along Katsina–Kano road when the customs operatives shooting sporadically were allegedly chasing smugglers conveying rice and second-hand clothes in a J5 bus.

Salisu was hit by the stray bullets and sustained injuries on his hand, around his shoulder and neck.

Salisu, who spoke to journalists from his hospital bed in the accident and emergency area of the General Hospital, Katsina said they were on break when they heard gunshots and ran to see what happened when he was hit by the bullets from the Customs officers.

Principal Personnel Officer of the Batagarawa Local Government Education Authority, Aminu Bello, expressed dismay over the incident which he said calls for urgent intervention by the government to avert recurrence.

The youngest son of late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Mustapha, has graduated from the Maryam Abacha American University (MAAUN), Maradi in Niger Republic. He graduated alongside 480 other students from various colleges in the University.

The Wife of the late Head of State, and Chairperson of MAAUN’s Board of Trustees, Hajiya Maryam Abacha, urged the graduands to be good ambassadors of the institution.

She wished them brighter future.

The Pro-Chancellor of the university and former Governor of Sokoto State, Sen. Aliyu Wammako, promised to sustain the tempo of development in the university. Wammako attributed the achievements of the university to its commitment to education development.

An accident survivor, ‎Eneh Ogechi‎ is filled with appreciation to God following the recent horrible tragedy. The young lady based in Enugu state - was involved in a ghastly accident after a truck crashed into the tricycle she was in and totally crushed it. The accident occured moments after she took a selfie in the tricycle as she came out from the crash in one piece.

A man was beaten mercilessly by political thugs to the point of death after asking his unpaid balance. A member of the Benue state house of Assembly member, Hon. (Mrs.) Ngohemba Lydia Utsaha Agaigbe who hails from Gboko Local Government Area has been called out on social media by one Barti Nor who alleged that the lawmaker's thugs beat up one Sam Aga to near-death after her requested that she paid him the debt she was owing him.

This young man is by name Nam, He was contracted by Mrs Agagbie who is a member Benue state house of Assembly for a Job. After the work, Mrs Agagbie according to him was supposed to pay him a balance of One hundred and thirty thousand Naira (#130000).

All his efforts to get his balance by pleading prove abortive. The BSHAM gave him thirty thousand out of the total amount and promised to pay the remaining within a stipulated Time. This young man approached her again and her children who happens to be her PA's locked him up at the police station for disturbing their mother, he was later released on bail to his Grandmother Mrs Atiev who happens to be A top APC mother at Mbaaka Ushongo LGA of Benue state.

The young man Mr Nam approached the Hon member Mrs Agagbie again and was still locked up by the children again and released.

He has been looking for ways to get his balance to no avail only for him to meet up with her today, he insisted on his money, and refused to go until Some Pocho linking guys who were with her beat up Mr Nam to the point of death. One of his eye bleeds blood and body parts dislocated. I know Some top APC members close to her are reading this, Pls advice Her to pay up this poor boys balance as will as pay for his hospital bills.

This is not Good representation, this is An abuse of human right and the law of labour. This are the people destroying Gov Samuel Ortoms Administration. So a laborers wages now is Beating? God have mercy.
