Christianity EtcRe: Roman Catholicism -- Christian or pagan? by prettyH(f): 4:52pm On Nov 30, 2005
@elbaron,
do u need long lectures for catholics to prove a point. What point exactly? U already av an impression of their practises, don't u? Can anything change what u think? Absolutely no.. So if u think its christianity, bro, good for u. If not, good for u
Christianity EtcRe: The Church of Jesus Christ: Object of Mockery or Object of Praise? by prettyH(f): 4:44pm On Nov 30, 2005
I tend to agree that these are the last days. Criticisms from outsiders are not what we should fear but those who say they know Jesus but do not understand mere simple facts. How can a believer of Jesus not believe in the second coming or even in been called a christian? It really is sad. I've read alot of postings that cause heartache becos i tell u its is sad when pple actually are bold enough to challenge God. I tell u , it is total ignorance. No wonder God said "my pple perish for lack of knowledge"

I've come to realise that u may know the bible or been able to interprete, but that still does not make u a christian. Anyways its good when i see christians stand up for Jesus despite all the insults. But i pray that one day those that are foes will also come to share our views. Amen

Take kare y'all

IslamRe: God and Allah: Are they the same? by prettyH(f): 4:31pm On Nov 30, 2005
@rhodarose, in the bible, true lovers of Jesus were referred to as christians. It is either u r one or not. What exactly r u trying to say , u r higher than the name "christian" or u don't subscribe to the name cos i am not getting this.

@Kenya,
why should christianity be lesser, cos u r a muslim. Pls as with goodguy, i really want to know what makes yr so called religion more superior *shakes head and laughs* cos i know it ain't.
Christianity EtcRe: Biblical Contradictions: What should we believe by prettyH(f): 4:22pm On Nov 30, 2005
Rhodarose,

If u say you r not a christian but are just a follower of Jesus, pls whats the difference.Are u trying to say u r from another denomination or what? But u seem to forget that in the bible followers of Jesus were called Christians.

Honestly, ur posts r getting very contradictory and as i said earlier confusing?

Christianity EtcRe: Voodoo: Do You Believe In It? by prettyH(f): 4:01pm On Nov 30, 2005
As far as am concerned voodoo or witchcraft as rightfully put it exists well. I think its just the name its called. In some countries its referred to as voodoo but in nigeria , its witchcraft. If u believe in the supernatural, then why not in voodoo. ?

FamilyRe: Like Will Smith, Would You Consider an Open Marriage? by prettyH(f): 9:24pm On Nov 29, 2005
Even though i don't support all this open marriage crap, i don't think both parties to the marriage have said anything wrong. We are looking at it from the African context ..but lets consider it from hollywood's perspective. Marriages in this environment do not last. Not only even those that last a while, we find both parties av actually cheated at one point or the other or even have partners by the side. Will and Jada av come out plainly to say we will sleep with other pple if need be. Pls why are we shouting how many partners in marriages are faithful nowadays.. even considering in Africa.

In Africa, r we not worse. We go to church saying for better for worse but still , partners don't respect their vows and its as bad as having kids with diff women outside wedlock. So what are we talking about. Abeg leave the couple alone jo
FamilyRe: How Many Kids Are Enough? by prettyH(f): 9:09pm On Nov 29, 2005
u mean that prof has not kpaied after venturing round all those women. Infact i'm sure he has concubines as well outside. Better advice him to write his will because *coughs* [wondering] how does he cope..even two women can kill a man.
FamilyRe: Advice me on how i will take care of my husband and children when i marry by prettyH(f): 8:54pm On Nov 29, 2005
lilian hi,
Not married my self but i guess women are good at multitasking so don't think that'll be a problem when u get married. but u would have to get married first and have kids to know how to handle the home.

My opinion

CareerRe: Are Nigerian 'Graduates' Really Graduates? by prettyH(f): 8:37pm On Nov 29, 2005
Soulful:
Interesting thread....

Let me just add that as a doctor trained in the UK, I've met some Nigerian trained doctors and soon after they come over they are simply shocking!! They really are not well served by the system back home. Of course, when they come over they eventually adapt and some do very well but the state of their knowledge when they come over is close to non-existent!!!
I tend to agree to an extent but please the situation is not as bad as that

PoliticsRe: Governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia State, for President? by prettyH(f): 6:52pm On Nov 29, 2005
It is sad that intellectual on this thread are supporting orji..whatever because of his wealth. When will Nigerians sop been sycophants.It is so typical of us to support pple even when we know they will nt be beneficial to our predicament. Ndubuchi, as far as am concerned, ur point is made on the basis of kalu being an Ibo man. Simple. What if it was say a Yoruba man or even Delta that they say was in Forbes as been rich and intended to run for candidacy, will u still be as opinionated as this.. Think about it.

Further, are u saying connections do not matter or what? I tend to be confused cos Bush' reign in the US is based on high powered connections laid down by his dad. So connections does matter in leading a country like ours especially if we want to be accepted. Do not forget, truth be told, Nigeria has been portrayed negatively and a good president would at least lessen our bad publicity. I do not think Orji can do that. See if orji was dat good, how come his state is still as underdeveloped as ever.

So what if he gives free education at both primary and whatever levels? See let me tell u its not the quantity but the quality of education . I find it disheartening that u don't know the Nigerian mentality yet. How do u know he wasn't doing all that just to buy votes for his presidential campain? U talk about sports..who cares if he is sponsoring local sports in his state..will that make Nigeria better? U've emphasized ur point on what he is doing in his state but thats for his people abi..Will he be so generous if he becomes the president not forgetting that Nigeria consists of various tribes and not the Ibo's alone

U talk bout leadership been bout wisdom.. no one disputes dat, orji Kalu is not the wisest ..thats for sure. Even if Orji becomes the president, do not be deceived, he will tow the lines of his predecessors who have done no better than rip us off.
