RomanceRe: After a Date, Penpal Says, "I don't like you as much as you may like me" by prettyH(f): 3:08pm On Nov 29, 2005
Ludwic hi, u aven't been active much. From what u've written above, the girl just wants to be friends at least for now. I agree with vostel, the condition of your meeting was strictly on a friendship basis and not romance. So why not be her friend instead. Her profile didn't say she was looking for a boyfriend did it. Honestly , u sound rejected but i don't think it should be like that because at least she was truthful with u and didn't string u on . So the balls in your court.

CareerRe: Are Nigerian 'Graduates' Really Graduates? by prettyH(f): 10:42pm On Nov 28, 2005
Hi yall,
Was just on another thread and was discussing the issue of the level of education between the three tiers-fed, state and poly. PPle view fed uni's higher than state unis calling the others half baked. But i totally disagree. Nigerian graduates are all half baked as far as i am concerned. Ive done a post grad programme with other nigerian students who all attended Fed uni's except me. But none of us had an indept knowledge of the modules. It was not as if we weren't familiar with the courses but because back home we had not been taught properly.
CareerRe: Access/Marina/Capital Banks to Sack All Polytechnic & State University Graduates by prettyH(f): 10:33pm On Nov 28, 2005
ondogi:
I fully and wholeheartedly support access bank concerning this issue.

The access bank management are trying to build a world class organisation to compete with the best in the world. The trend in management has moved towards human resource as a competitive advantage, access bank is only trying to leverage on this.

Let us be truthful to ourselves, the standard of graduates from polys & state uni is absolutely nothing to write about. Personally i think these schools should be scrapped. They are consistent in churning out half-baked graduates. I know it could be painful but the fact is poly & state uni products are second class graduates. Most people that ended up in these schools failed/scored low mark in the uni jamb. Attending these school at the onset as already confirmed a second class status on an individual. Ofcourse someone will say we can not all go to first generation universities, well my answer is we can not all go to heaven but where do you want to go?
U know what, from ur postings, u've got to be the PR for access. It is also shocking that u even make certain statements considering u r actually a nigeria.I went to a state uni and believe me i was good.. very good but unfortunately had to go to one cos the so called Fe uni's expected me to undergo a predegree course which i utterlly refused to do. I have rubbed minds with pple from both ends and men some Fed uni stydents dont know crap . So ur idea of halfbaked students applies to all universities and not just one . Agreeably, poly and state uni's may not be up to standard, but is that not the fault of the Nigerian situation

Infact u talk of Access like its one of the best banks. Abeg let us hear the bigger banks ain't boasting. Access wants to compete with world banks ..In which era..Pls they should sort out the home front first before going abroad.
TV/MoviesRe: Most Annoying Nigerian Actors/Actresses by prettyH(f): 10:09pm On Nov 28, 2005
ladysonik:
most annoying to me are

Ram noah- too full of himself and he sreams too much
Genny- feature in more than 100 movies in just a month, that's very bad.

most annoying of them all

Aki n Pawpaw - i can't stand them. they insult too much
Nkem Owoh- he talks too much
Support u on aki n pawpaw, won't watch their films for anything. On the others , pls there are worse pple than these
TV/MoviesRe: Who watches X factor? by prettyH(f): 10:05pm On Nov 28, 2005
didnt know pips watch the X-factor? As @ now ffg Maria's exit, av been totally disappointed and haven't watched the actual competition except the results. Honestly i think Louie is crap. Never makes the right decisions . Can u imagine choosing conways over Maria? What da hell was he thinking of. Although i was shocked that Simon chose the conways, i've never been that trilled in ma life to see pple go. In utmost honesty, i think Simon was just totally fed up with the girls inability to sing. They just can't sing. He gives them such nice songs but i don't know their problem.

From what i can see, i agree Louise' trying to eliminate the good ones so that Shayne will win.

RomanceRe: Ladies: Would You Marry a Younger Man? by prettyH(f): 4:42pm On Nov 28, 2005
Of course older babes marry younger guys but personally don't share that view. I for one insist on having a relationship with an older guy because, they are more experienced in life. I can't start babysitting a man. Proponents of the theory of been able to marry a younger guy base their theory on love and age been nothing but a number but lets start from how many girls on this forum are dating or have dated younger men ?

Unfortunately, i've not been priviledged to meet younger guys who av been interested in me in such a way so maybe thats where my stance lies. Nothwithstanding dat still, i'm just an older man person.
FamilyRe: My Cousin's Story About Her Pregnancy by prettyH(f): 4:28pm On Nov 28, 2005
see alheri, not disputing the fact it happens, never come across it. Its quite difficult to perceive but thats my opinion. But guess if am d one, i will know sha.

To answer your question bout the age thing, i never learned bout sex from ma folks. But got to know bout it and i was about 15/16 then. So well u don't need to learn bout pregnancy and all dat from ur pips at home, ur friends can always tell u about it ..though that has its disadvantages. But in this present age and time where kids as young as 12 r even sexually active, my sister its hard to believe not knowing that u r expecting.
FamilyRe: My Cousin's Story About Her Pregnancy by prettyH(f): 3:58pm On Nov 28, 2005
I personally think when a girl gets to a certain age she becomes aware of certain things, and one of such is pregnancy. Though i've never been but in my opinion, don't think it possible. How can u not know u r carrying a child. Sorry to say but u carry a child for nine months and not just for a day or even a month. So how will u not know? Honestly it sounds very weird cos now even without a bulging tummy , i know a woman is pregnant cos of the way she looks

But for the cousin to say she didn't know then thats somethingelse.

TV/MoviesRe: The Lagos Lottery Game Show & Live Draw by prettyH(f): 3:17pm On Nov 28, 2005
Thats good that at least some winners av emerged. I'm quite surprised that they kept to their promise of giving the winners the money cos anything in Nigeria always has K leg. But lets see how the lottery progresses.

@Seun

which charity..in nigeria..forget it. As far as am concerned the state govt is the charity cos i know they'll be chopping like hell from the weekly taking-ins thats why they've allowed the lottery to continue.
