Some of the top countries of the world today don't even have major resources. With the so called oil that Nigeria has, how far? Can we even compete with South Africa, Egypt, Morocco or Algeria? The east has many resources that can grow any nation if well harnessed. Even being a mere cassava cultivation can grow industries.. Cahsew nuts, gas, even sands, etc. The most vital aspect of resources is human resources. Many countries in Africa smaller than Nigeria has oil but are so poor. Oil is not the way to development but ur ability to grow ur human resources. The Igbos have the human resources and many natural elements that can be harnessed for development. Infact, no oil producing African country has grown. Omo, Nigeria has a long way to go if the so called leaders like this guy think like this and if people like u actually believe this. |

NB: I don't support infidelity.
My concern is the emotional breakdown of the kids and the family at large. Nope, the woman should first think of the emotional breakdown of the child before taking pregnancy by another man to her husband. That is what we should focus on. Becus if we dont, we are indirectly encouring women to do this. So many men have been forced to marry a lady because she claimed that he impregnanted her when she actually got pregnant by another man. So many men have been denied right to have their own biological child because their wife lied to them. That is evil and nothing, no amount of being woke changes this. Why do women always look for a way to run away from their shameless irresponsibilities? They always find a way to claim victim and seek sentiment |

The reason why the Igbos are minority is because of the last war that reduce their population, now they are killing themselves?? PeaceJoyLove: Everywhere Britain, Portugal and France went, they went with selfish motives. The British started it. And that's why the US under Gen Washington said NO and chased them away.
Actually, Niger and the north are to be together. SW, Kwara, Kogi, Benin are to extend down to Cotonou, Togo, and Abidjan. Even Liberia should be a partner of Nigeria.
And then, SS and Cameroun were to be together.
And I am supporting Igbos to bring Isreal partnership into it.
So, the issue is this: Regional rulership must return. And then, we will see a new Nigeria.
Nigeria needs to change the name and adopt resource control. Kaduna refinery must buy crude oil from SS and pay them cool cash for it.
Also, the north should develop agric.
The is the only way forward. I am.not supporting this present Nigeria. In fact, we need to change the name..and then, we need to have prime ministers for all the regions controlling the resources. Abuja should be for the president and mainly for foreign affairs, while the prime ministers take charge of internal affairs of their regions. They pay Abuja certain tax and not that Abuja takes all and pay them some peanuts..nope...Igbos and SS should take charge of their oil and sell to Kaduna. If Kaduna cannot afford it, let them export it themselves. And then, they pay Abuja the present % Abuja is paying. This is the way forward.
This is where it is going with this VAT tax. Cos the person who collects VAT is the owner of the business. After VAT goes to states, many things will change. Eyes don clear. Bro...Nigeria or whatever the name will be, will be great again. The elites know these things but greed no let them. |

Aufbauh: Many still don't understand the write up or the VAT debacle yet they want to write something. Nigerians are very sentimental people that is why we can hardly get things right.
However the proposal by the HoR is a welcome development as it will create soft landing for the over 30 states that are insolvent.
The bitter reality is that if States are to take control of their respective state VAT over 30 states of the federation can't meet up going by their current standing. Apart from Lagos, Rivers, Oyo, Ogun and one or two States in the SS including FCT, the remaining States are insolvent. Yet their indigenes won't allow us on nairaland about state control whereas their Governors are scared to stand on their own. Oga, we can't continue to baby sit states. The idea behind all these is simple. Enough of free money. Every state should go and hustle. There is enough resources in each state to turn it into money. They should work. And more importantly, learn to be productive. |
