I know u have a national orientation program to instill a sense of unity but it won't work if the system is unfair. Truly, the best way to defeat your problems if you've exhausted all other avenues is simply GOOD GOVERNANCE.

In SA currently there are calls for the Western Cape to gain independence, but this is only because they feel the national governance has deteriorated. If that is fixed these calls will fall away - even Western Cape leaders have admitted this. And history has proven this.

We run a federal system but it is unitary. The governors of the federation are made so weak. They lacked vital powers to manage a federation by the constitution.
The complexity of Nigeria won't work under this system. This was why Nigeria fought civil war. The same issues are happening till date and are now so deep into the system.
Nigeria is such a brutal creation.
There is no single week over 100 Nigerians don't die in Nigeria.
People can't protest becus police will kill them and it will be tagged ethnic protest.

Northerners are completely different from southerners. Southerners are completely different from northerners.

i know most of our brothers in the southern Nigeria want the SS or ND to be part of their struggle for secession but it can not happen because we believe in a better system. We don't want the nation state of either Biafra or Oodua we want a United States Of Southern Nigeria.

I have read most comment, especially from the biafra people wanting SS to be part of the Biafra struggle but in reality, it would not work.

If the southern states are divided into biafra and Oodua the north can still easy conquer the two state, one at a time. We in the SS know this and we are very careful not to be at the losing side.

But if collectively we are all united, we have a better fighting and winning chance.

I am igbo and I say u made sense. This has been my position. North has upper hand in war than any of the major tribes. To win North, Southern Nigeria and Middle belt must unite. There can be strategic partnership among the southern major tribes that will ensure none of the tribes dominate the other.

Security top heads in many places in Nigeria are Fulani sympathizers. This usually cause bias during cases.

There have been cases where these fulanis were arrested for crime and taken to police only for order to be given for them to be released. The madness was just too much. They do these things and run to cover within security structures who are paid with tax payers money.
Bias in a country like Nigeria that is battling with three major ethnic groups and two major religions is why federal character was introduced. This is to make sure none of the major ethnic groups dominate the other. But buhari and northerners have changed that. They keep dominating.
