yea, I can relate with bubu, how do you defend someone who is not a democrat and doesn't believe in democratic principles? How do you defend someone who doesn't know the right words to say at every occasion? How do you defend someone who keeps quiet when words spoken thoughtfully could be a succour and reassurance to a long suffering people? How do you defend someone who promised so much yet delivered so little? How do you defend someone who lacks the gift to crack jokes yet forces himself to sound funny but comes across as ridiculously silly? How do you defend someone who lacks the gift of oratory yet often tries to go off script and goes off point in the process? How do you defend someone who holds local media in contempt yet always willing to demarket his country men at any international fora he's interviewed? How do you defend someone who thinks governance is only about arresting looters but lacks knowledge on anything else not corruption related? List is endless,he should just do the needful by retiring to his hometown in 2019 for a much deserved rest in his senile years,Nigeria deserves a vibrant, passionate to serve, hardworking intellectual to take over at this critical time of the country's existence, someone who has the patience, temerity and understanding of the complex nature of Nigeria and can be a uniting force rather than a destabilizing personality with extreme views on issues like this current president.

Politics / Re: Buhari 3 Years Physical Achievements True Or False, Criticize With Fact And Fig. by princejenks(m): 1:54pm On May 29, 2018
When a government tries so hard to make its citizens see its supposed achievements then something critical is wrong somewhere. When a government is performing, the citizenry sees it and even announces it on behalf of that government,a case in point is lagos,Ambode doesn't need to try hard to convince lagosians that he is working, that's the difference here.

To come to the substance of these achievements being bandied here,it's clear that both ongoing and yet to take off projects have been lumped together, even some have been falsified to make it seem that the achievements started with this administration, take for example power,it's on record most of the groundwork for the increased megawatts of power we are enjoying today was done by previous administrations, especially the past one but the hatred this government has for that administration will not let it speak the truth on that matter, should we even be celebrating power when we haven't reached the 10,0000megawatts benchmark or wasn't that what apc promised to add every year in its manifesto? Talk about the railways, the major one that has been completed,kaduna- abuja, had already been paid for and nearly completed by a ppp between nexim bank and the previous administration, the new ones being touted here have not reached any significant level, ditto for the 2nd naija bridge. The remaining achievements can not readily be seen or felt by common nigerians for now e.g increased foreign reserves and currency swap.

Also keep in mind this government in being clever by half left out the very high debt profile it has bequeathed future generations of this country to pay back with interest in just three years in power. On agriculture, kudos to them but truthfully everyone knows they continued from where the previous administration who had a more detailed and comprehensive program on where they intended to take agriculture stopped, they simply copied and changed names, nothing wrong in doing that except that they shouldn't forget to give due credits where it's due. I'll give it to them in the area of curbing boko haram(at least at the onset till things took a different turn recently) but wholelistically speaking in terms of insecurity in the land, this government hasn't done much to give nigerians hope that they can sleep with their two eyes shut yet. On corruption, this administration only understands it to mean recovery of looted funds but consulting the dictionary will make you understand it has a much broader meaning, when someone in power uses his position or influence to corner contracts for his own pesonal interest, that's also corruption and we've seen it happen under buhari's watch, nepotism is also a form of corruption which this administration is guilty of,even the extent of pilfering going on can only be ascertained when another administration comes in and investigates this current one.
This government is yet to treat corruption at its
root causes which is reforming the civil service which is the cesspool of corruption which politicians collaborate with, other administration have tried to create structures and put mechanisms to fight corruption, what new thing has this government brought to the table to systemically fight corruption?

This government has less than a year to change the tide of things in its favour but would politicking allow it concentrate,I doubt it. If it continues with its arrogance thinking it has done much, which is clearly untrue putting its said achievements side by side with what it promised, then let no one be surprised if the same fate that befell the previous administration isn't awaiting it in 2019,after all the past administration had even more verifiable achievements yet still lost in 2015.

He played for B teams in semi-pro leagues his whole career till he was 27. How much do you think he was earning? Anywhere you see appearances for Hannover II or Werder II, that's what they call regional league in Germany or Regionalla. It is the 4th tier of German football made of 3 regional leagues where players earn €500 per week. His career did not start taking off till he was nearly 28 with Darmstadt in Buli II.

And if you check his last 2 contracts, they are 1 year contracts only, that's why he moved on free transfer from Darmstadt to Mainz after one year and left Mainz on free transfer after 1 year to go to Brighton. Same way he was 3 months clubless before Darmstadt signed him. This is a man who is not sure of where to eat from one summer to the next, so he must be over the moon when EPL club came with 2 year contract, never mind talks of waiting till after World Cup.
you missed my point,a professional career starts when you land a contract with a football club that pays you for playing for it,regardless of which tier of a league, just needed to correct this, thanks

Do you know where he is coming from? This is a 29 year old dude who was not sure of having a Professional career just 5 years ago. He has only played 70 senior matches at the age of 29, and almost all of them in the last 2 years. At 27 years old, he had not played up to 10 professional matches.

The Brighton deal should yield him no less than £1m per year of which a 3 year contract will sort out his retirement, and you are here asking him to wait for World Cup. What if he injures at World Cup or gets disgraced.

EPL is the promised land and he has reached there. He will never need to work again after football which was beyond his wildest dreams 5 years ago.
the info you've up there is a bit misleading,he has had a professional career as far back as 2009 when he signed for hannover
Sports / Re: Leon Balogun Signs For EPL Side Brighton by princejenks(m): 8:05pm On May 22, 2018
well,it's not such a bad move for a player out of contract and who would be clubless from next season. if he performs well enough, baring any sidelining long term injuries,he could always get a better offer from another premiership club cos he's a fine defender with a wealth of experience from the bundesliga clubs he has played with

I've a hunch obj has some stinker on buhari which the latter wouldn't want out cos it would ruin his supposed mr integrity status that he easily flaunts to deceive gullible ones. obj has been buhari's boss on more than one occasion, especially the latter's days as ptdf chairman has enough scum that can be dug out to reveal a lot if the need arises so those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

This isn't funny any longer. For appreciation sake, this man hasn't done badly at all. Two seasons, two trophies just same as Pep no matter how you view it. Conte even did better in terms of the medals won so why the axe. Chelsea aren't faithful to their managers at all, just one bad season and you're kicked out, too bad.
conte only has himself to blame, regardless of his disappointment with the club signings against his prefered choices, that still isn't enough reason to slip up and lose top four position he had under lock down most of this season and pushing chelsea to play europa next season

I have a problem with this statement; 'If you know the owners call the police' I hope the Nigeria police I know won't accuse the real owners of the cars as accomplices to the arm-robbers.

If any of those cars is one of my car, and some arm-robbers used it to carry a "successful" arm-robbery like this; heaven knows I ain't going to any police division to retrieve that car. Like fvck, we are talking about Nigeria police. Ok, sacrificial car will be my car's new name.

Education / Re: No More 'How Was Your Night?'! by princejenks(m): 8:48am On Apr 03, 2018
COPIED from Mrs Olukemi Ajayi's Wall:

The phrase ' How was your night?' In the English language means, , ' How was last night's sex?'

Or, if for instance, we are close and you know I went home with a man or woman last night and you ask as an accomplice ' How was your night?' In this case it simply means, ' so did it go well or did it go as expected?'

I'll give you two real life examples. One was mine and one happened in my cousins office. She consults for the UN.

In my own case, I jog most mornings. Years back, having just returned to the country, this young man will greet me every morning and I'll answer. Then one day, he asked me, 'How was your night?' He went merrily on his way, I stopped, turned looking at him in anger fuming. My thoughts were, ' it's not your fault, if I hadn't been responding to your 'good morning' will we graduate to 'How was your night?'

Second occurrence, at my cousins office.

English woman comes in and everyone exchange the usual good morning. Then, one 'nice' Naija brother goes, 'How was your night?' English woman flares up ' How dare you!?'. ' How is my night your business?' Etc, it took major intervention to calm the woman down.

The answer to ' How was your night?' Is actually 'none of your business!'

I have checked our local languages, I am fluent in two, and passable in one. Even as transliteration, no Nigerian language asks 'How was your night?' I am checking because this phrase, for those who know, was not in use in Nigeria as recent as 7years ago. I suspect, some 'oversabi wannabe' heard it on a music video somewhere and wanted to form posh or as my Doctor friend said to me, it may have come from hospitals. It's common knowledge according to the doctor that sick people often have rough nights and most deaths to May occur at night. So a doctor's question to the patient during morning ward rounds is usually 'How was your night?' If we exported hospital vocabulary to the streets, are we now to assume, we are all at deaths door?

The proper address for mornings is simply 'good morning' and if you want to spice it up by being overtly friendly, you may add 'hope you slept well?' A person's night. Is not our business.

If we are Igbo it's either, ibolachi- have you woken up. Ututuoma- good morning.

If Yoruba, ekaro- good morning. You can go further as Yorubas are won't to do by adding ",se daada Leji' - hope you woke up well?

None of these our local greetings intrusively asks 'How was your night?' So, No! It is not African either.

So let us be well aware when we leave our lanes to go measuring that of others.....

#Brainzy

Have u learnt something here?
Pls put it to use. A call for repentance. Copied. I certainly learnt something here so I shared. Enjoy.

I have observed some things seriously wrong with this president and his administration, that is adversely affecting the progress and governance of this very complex contraption.
1. Lack of urgency
2. Lack of empathy
3 lack of strategy
4. Lack of understanding of intricacies of politics and how it affects governance
5. Over dependence on propaganda and props as opposed to actual time tested problem solving methods
6. Fighting symptoms rather than root causes e.g fight against corruption
7. Lack of consequences for incompetence and dereliction of duties
8. Nepotism over competence
9. Justifying incompetence using previous administrations as standard for measuring performance
10. Never taking responsibility for anything(blame game)
11. Adverse to truth irrespective of the messenger.

These things among others are at the heart of this administration's failure, they just appear programmed to be mediocre in everything, like they were cursed to fail. Shameful!

There's everything wrong with president buhari's actions since he came back as a civilian president. I can't say much about his stewardship as military ruler beyond what I read in books and newspapers detailing it but I can say a lot about this president in his three years as president. To summarize, here's a president who is arrogantly aloof, disinterested and totally uninformed about present realities in today's Nigeria. He's intellectually lacking, physically incapable and lacks the temerity to lead a complex and multi ethnic and religious country like Nigeria. His actions are more divisive than unifying, his silence on crucial issues bedevilling the polity is more or less conniving to create greater evil than helping to solve any problems.

To answer the op directly whether president did any wrong attending a wedding ceremony when girls were abducted weeks before, yes the president is in the wrong and realised his folly which made him organise belated visits to troubled states where lives have been lost to herders/farmers clashes. The president clearly lacks empathy by his actions so far,how can you lead a country when you can't identify with their sufferings in any way, does he think leading Nigeria is a tea party where he doesn't have to leave the enclave of aso rock? This is a president that has shown so much unseriousness,he lacks sense of urgency and never takes responsibility for anything and carries himself in an aloof and arrogant manner, can you count the number of times he has even addressed the people he's leading? I just pray nigerians do the needful in 2019,we have seen what president buhari can offer and in all sense of objectivity,it's not good enough, even his friends and critics agree on this one point.
