I've been trying to search for a sample online but haven't gotten something concrete.

I don't want it to look like I forge it just for this purpose.

My wife works in my company and she doesn't have payslip. Must I design payslip just because of her SOWP application?

Good evening guys, I submitted my passport in lagos using usps on 14th of July, for myself and my baby. First I got a message that it has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at Abuja OC on 20 July. Then 21st I got another email that it was in transit to IRCC office. After then I didn't get another message not until 31st that's on Monday, that it has arrived at the ircc office. Please how long more do I have to wait, is there something wrong somewhere? Cos I heard it takes just 2 weeks for the process to be completed and returned. I am so worried. I will appreciate replies 🙏 because my school is to resume September 6, and I have not even booked my ticket and the prices are flying😪

Please don't panic. I was in your shoes few days ago. But my passport is now ready for collection in Lagos.

Since it is now in IRRC office, you can send webform and/or email to IRCC office to fast track the process. I did that like two times when I didn't get any update after 6 days at IRCC office and I wish I did that earlier.

No big deal, got there around 12:30, I was even scared I might not get it , but I saw a line and joined it. They gave numbers I got number 367. Got in around 3:00 and that was all. Apparently some people got in earlier as collection is between 12 and 2

I used courier. Got the PPR late and I had just about 7 days left . So I just decided to not bother seeking appointment and use courier instead .

You mean seven days to school resumption or to the 30days on PPR letter?

There is no cause for alarm, there were some passports that are with IRCC yet to be worked on. Just be calm.

When did you submit? I actually don't think it's because of no NIN. My mom submitted her passport with NIN. Today makes it exactly 20days she got PPR and 19days the courier journey began. But I think it will be back this week sha. For passport stamping give or take 2- 3 weeks . 2 weeks if you submitted directly to Abuja. 3 weeks or 4 if you submitted to Lagos.

Please I have a very important question that has been bothering me.
I have a visitor visa, however my passport hasn't come back. I intended to leave for Canada early but the passport delay is worrisome at this point. I will be 34 weeks pregnant this week. Hopefully by 36weeks I am able to travel. What do you suggest I do so they won't turn me back. I am really scared. I don't plan to declare the pregnancy. Cos I will be travelling from the UK and I can easily tell them I am On a 2 weeks holiday and probably lie about my EDD. What do you guys think please

I was confused at this point 😕 🫤 because why are you receiving and saying you will send to yourself again then I just assumed they made a mistake in the message. It was not a mistake 😢 😭 😪
Within this period, I checked the application tracker, saw visa number even though my background check was in progress.

PP received by CVAC Abuja OC and in transit to IRCC office Abuja OC: Thur July 13, 2023

I started becoming jittery at this point because of my other upcoming trip. Plus the people that submitted same day with me and a day after me had gotten msgs that their PP had left IRCC after stamping. Checked my status and it was still saying background check in progress🙄

PP received by IRCC: Thur July 20, 2023

So PP was in transit within Abuja for 1 whole week. The PP must have been tired of trekking 😔

I checked my status on the portal and the application tracker. Application tracker was still saying 'in progress' because background check was in progress. Portal was updated to background completed, but no info on passport being stamped.

I decided to chat VFS on Wed morning July 26. Chatted with Chiamaka, she confirmed that PP was in transit to Lagos VFS. I kept stressing how urgent it was because of my planned trip and it was already almost 3 weeks after submission. I was practically pleading that I can pick it up from anywhere... she insisted I will pick it up in lagos VFS office. 2 mins after our chat, collection mail in Lagos dropped 💃 💃 💃
VFS passport tracker was still showing 'in transit' till I collected the passport.

I just checked the application tracker now (fri 28 July), and the status says 'closed'. It was updated July 26, the day lagos collection mail dropped.
The portal overall status still says 'submitted'.

Other info:
I used the new link for application.
I had US visa.
I applied as a tourist.
