It is no surprise at all. He is working diligently not only for today lagos but for a glorious tomorrow for lagosians. |
I am loyal to the agenda of the party. I am willing to support any candidate it brings forth because credibility and competence especially is ensured. It has been like that for the past few years and will continue to be. Countless projects have been executed and the city has been accorded due encomium both within the country and beyond. It is no other state but Lagos state, Eko-Ile. It doesn't matter if am not yoruba or of benin region, I may be from gboko or portiscum.I am a lagosian. |
No commitment yet from Obasanjo signals something strong. 2015 is highly unpredictable. |
Protest is an acceptable way of delivering plights especially when other efforts have proved futile. So this doesn't imply ACN governors or officers are not up to the task. In Nigeria, beating, molesting, throwing objects, and blocking public officers and other form of violent protest is now a new way of agitation and showing grievances.Simple! And we all know the first of this kind. ACN cannot be an exception. Once any public officer has got his cup filled, he or she faces the consequence. |
There is nothing bad in withdrawing a filed suit. It happens more frequent than you may think. Once a suit has been predicted to generate more problems and when a case is to be settled outside the court, such suit or case will be withdrawn or closed as the case maybe. So that doesn't make Fash a confused person. But rather a typical Nigerian politician that he is as well as his counterparts. |
Is this an essay, short story or a news report? Please what is the source?? |
Hello Bummite, what are the details of the company? Name, address, and what they are into currently that required the service of a project officer Is the pay handsome? Why must the applicant be able to navigate through cross-river, is he a driver or a marketer? Or he is taking both positions of transporter and project officer at the same time??.. Please provide more details. Then we will go from there Thank you |
Sad!..so so sad! Well, Allah knows best. |
Who will take a protest from that area serious? I believe in proving yourself intelligently by being civil and tendering reasonable petitions. Little did they know that, shell is more important to the government. |
As much as we want a change, positive one to be precise, a revolution or going to war is not the solution. However, there can be a revolution in our thinking, we can have an overhaul in the way we look at issues, we could have an improvement in our ideologies as citizens of the country. The bitter truth is that the leadership system and all that is happening within is a reflection of the society. Today, most youths are in disarray, they are not motivated, they lack proper up bringing and are always after enriching their pockets either by hook or by crook. Will a revolution or war change that? Will a revolution replace our brains? Our leaders are endorsed and elected by a majority, who forms that majority?? You and I. Who forms a rented crowd? You and I. Who forms thugs and political watchdog. Nigerians of course, with we youths constituting a large part. Until when we have a majority thinking in the right direction, we will still be swimming in the quagmire of problems. Yes, the government have failed us, yes our education system is bad, yes, we have no good health care.but the question is; Do all these start today? At most times, we have honored past leaders claiming despite their ineptitude, they still performed more than present leaders. Another point to keep our eyes away from a revolution at the moment is a lesson from the military era, when the civilians were in power, we complained, when the military came in, we complained on same issues centering on our basic amenities and dividends of being a citizen. Finally, just like I have always said, its hightime we youths prove our dexterity to the people of Nigeria by putting up good attitude in our various disciplines. This will inform them of our competence in handling public offices. |
On Point. But seriously, most youths show on a daily basis how much they lack focus, determination, purpose, and most especially habits of highly effective people. If for some people, artice of this kind is probably the first or second they have come across, then there is nothing more imminent than a menace caused by this. Its high time young people spend time on value-adding activities and eschew superfluous mundane merry making, fruitless and time-wasting gatherings. |
Retirement from politics ..Verily, most of us are in err. Someone said he has retired from politics with a flimsy reason that he is not greedy. So public seats as seen by him were meant to be business ventures, for people to come make money and leave for other people. The important question here is this: what are the modalties involved in retirement from politics. No Nigerian leader can convince me of retiring from politics or better still none of our current leaders can 'retire' from politics. They will from time to time always have one or two interests to protect. And u called that retirement from politics??..just like someone here said "he shuld nt come in 2015 and say my people say i should go to the senate".. However it doesn't change the fact that Gov Obi is an achiever |
It suffices to say: Seeing is believing.. Am optimistic though..but until they prove otherwise, Nigeria is used to talking without acting, promises without fulfilling them, and ideas without transforming them into benefits. As an advocacy, implementation alone is not even enough, we need proper implementation by following and monitoring projects to make sure their objectives are achieved. Ensuring the beneficiaries are true and not influenced or based on unequal opportunity. |
kraftykc: Fucck! All these words and not one iota of sense made.......you must be a lawyerI don't have a writing problem, you have a reading problem. Change ur perception and attitude towards the issue. Well, ur opinion and view cannot and will not change the fact!.. |
As much as I extol the ACN govt, this is a reprehensible fault capable of marring the party's reputation. But for a few people here conversant with nigeria politics, especially in a legislative terrain like the LAHA, it is very obvious here that corruption allegations against the speaker is like letting the cat outa the bag perhaps due to an attempt to renege on existing agreement .so no one is absolved of blame. This is a returning speaker for fair analysis sake BTW, the judge has not done anything special or landmark until he is able to effect rectitude by delivering a fair judgement in the end. |
Skill and certification.. Skill is as important as certification but a valid point here is that one comes before the other and one compliments the other. And that is: skill/proficiency should come before certification while certification actually compliments proficiency. In accordance with a poster's advice, it is ideal to be a complete IT expert with much accolade by acquiring both. My2k.. |

The old senator has spoken to the best of his knowledge and for his political interest with perhaps his own caucus. However, the fact as established by majority of Nigerians both those who were present and those who hold valid records that the annulment was a huge damage to our democracy. For me, I see him as selfless african, nigerian and yoruba leader who was denied liberty, freedom and dividends of democracy due to the selfish and nefarious plans of the then militocracy..However, the event gave birth to the current democracy the nation is enjoying. Strategically, without the june 12 dramatic scene, may 29, 1999 would not have been part of our history. Let those involved in the evil act know that some day the sword of the law would haunt some one on their behalf. Some one would pay for it cos you have reneged on agreement and convenant made with the masses. Atonement should be made for june 12 1993, not in the form of fetish sacrifice but by cleansing the system and imposing rectitude. The vision of Abiola should be realized, the drive of those who came out in masses irrespective of religion, tribe or interest must be extoled and emulated to achieve a balanced democratic system. |

When the usual politicking was actually going on, we were not informed. Now that things tend to fall apart, you are trying to gain more people to your side. Nigerians are wiser. Mr Governor, you are a PDP breed deal with it using the usual round-table method. GooodLuck |
