totit:Who told you that Anambra is the most industrialized state in the SE? Also, is their any other state in Nigeria where everything is concentrated the way it is concentrated in Lagos? Remove Ogun state from being next door to Lagos, and you will have another Osun. Replace it with Kogi state or any other random state and see if that state won't be in the same position where Ogun state is. Ask yourself, did any of the mediocre governors that ruled Ogun state do anything spectacular? You people will see the truth and still be running around like headless chicken. |
plaindealer:Too many lame and ridiculous excuses.. I don't know why you guys from that side are fond of making dum.b and ridiculous posts. Why are you comparing apples with oranges? Is Akwa Ibom not in the same SS that got 0.5% of the FDI? Who doesn't know that Ogun is only gaining FDI due to its proximity to the already filled up Lagos? Nigeria is a dysfunctional and sorry society where the rulers are as dum.b as the worst ret.ards. Otherwise tell me why they would be forcing virtually everything on Lagos, a state that is already topping the list of world's most miserable, congested and overpopulated cities when common sense should have made them to disperse key infrastructures and investments. |
totit:Your problem is obviously inability to read and comprehend. Yes, I said that Lagos is responsible for the SW bogus figure and that's an irrefutable fact! Yes, I said that Ogun state is snapping the overflow from the over congested Lagos and that's an irrefutable fact too!! So, what's your argument exactly?? |
Angelfrost:Bollocks!!!!! I was carefully reading all the trash people are saying here about the SE and I couldn't but shake my head at the ignorance being exhibited. Firstly, SE came 3rd out of 6 regions. Outperforming other regions that have 7 and 6 states!! Secondly, who doesn't know that the useless FG have been frustrating FDI's that ought to have birthed in the SE?? To be honest, I'm even surprised that we came 3rd despite all these state sanctioned policies against the SE. We all know that Abuja is responsible for the NC that got 11%. Likewise Lagos being responsible for the SW having that bogus figure. Forget about Ogun, it is only snapping up the overflow from Lagos. However, my biggest disappointment is in the SS. With all the oil resources and ports, yet nothing to show for it. The oppression against the SE is becoming unbearable and something will definitely give in the near future. The Enugu international airport has been closed for so long now. The rails has been built in other regions but non here. Every other region has several federal government agencies and institutions but SE has not even one!! A region that is heavily into commerce and business has no single dry port but NW and other regions have!! Inasmuch as I'm not exonerating our governors, but aside the fat and iresponsible efulefu in Abia state, I don't think other regions have got better governors than those in the SE. Forget about the noise. If the SE could come 3rd despite all the desperate wicked acts by the central government against us, imagine where we would be if only there is equal playing ground for all. THANK GOD WE HAVE WHAT OTHERS CAN'T HAVE I.E THE GREATEST NUMBER OF LOCAL INVESTMENTS AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO TURN TRADING INTO MANUFACTURING ![]() USELESS COUNTRY!!!!!!!!! |
Dammy996:Good development! Something caught my attention, the report stated that Cross River State accounts for about 30% of cocoa production in Nigeria. Then why are some people claiming that SW accounts for almost all the cocoa in Nigeria? Remember that Abia, Taraba, Delta and others also produce cocoa. |
sodiqapril:Most of what you said is the truth, however why would you advise Southerners to leave Nigeria? Don't you know that if we all abandon Nigeria, it becomes very easy for them to achieve that same objective you're afraid of, which is to overrun the whole?? Anyways, they can only try but they will never succeed provided that we all stand in unison against them. Even if the government gives them 100% support and the South unites against them, they will never succeed, instead they will only help to breakup Nigeria fast. It was only Igbos and a few our neighbors that fought against them, yet they had to rely on foriegn powers, middle belt, other Southerners and a blockade before Biafra could be defeated. They can't win! |
You mean this is lady's feet Yuck!! Even an abo.ki that trekked all the way from Niger to P.H can't have such feet |
Such idiatic governor! Abia state has become a huge embarrassment to us Igbos. What the hell is going on?? Abia is now so unfortunate that mediocrity is now synonymous to it. Ikpeazu is so useless. Tufiakwa!! Thank God they destroyed that refuse truck they fire fighting truck. Good riddance to bad rubbish |
Ilaumoh:Do you even know that a large number of your people live in the state, particularly Aba? If it's cursed will they all be living there? |
Ilaumoh:So you're now joining that psychopath to say trash about Abia state? You need to delete those trash comments and be careful. For someone who goes about trying to launder the image of Akwa Ibom and even doing praise singing and psycophant work, you shouldn't be going this path. Remember that two can play the game and Akwa Ibom is no where near perfect. We criticize Abia state constructively but that doesn't mean anyone can now say whatever nonsense they feel like about the state. Imagine saying Abia is cursed. Really, and you think it's fair? |
chrisblack:Lol, if you think there is going to be another war like we had in 1967-70, then it shows you really don't understand the situation of Nigeria. Firstly, before you can fight the sort of war that happened in the past, you will have a semi autonomous regional government. The only war that can ever be fought again in Nigeria is guerilla war and it is already happening. Boko Haram, Bandits, Herdsmen, militancy etc are different forms of guerilla warfare. Do you think the West is happy that Nigeria is now a regional and global threat? They gave a warning that global terrorist groups are establishing themselves in Nigeria and you think they're comfortable with that? Russia bullied Ukraine to submission and US including NATO couldn't do anything because of Russia's nuclear capability. That's also the same reason they can't invade North Korea despite all their threats and provocation. However, in the case of Nigeria. A very weak, fragmented and distabilized country. Forcing a referendum on us will be a tea party. America has military bases all over West Africa same as France. America influences global trade in weapons. They control the media. The West influences decisions made by bodies like UN and ICJ as well as financial bodies. I can tell you categorically that no Nigerian president will want to defy a mandate by UN to conduct a referendum. The problem is that you feel that Nigeria is a strong nation but in reality we are not. Once any Nigerian president is told to allow a referendum to take place in Nigeria, and he refuses. He will automatically become a fugitive leader. He will be blamed for any more deaths that occur in Nigeria. War crimes allegations will be levelled against him and he can't travel out without risking being arrested. Nigeria's finances will be frozen. Aids will be stopped. Embargo on arms will be placed. Embargo will also be placed on oil sales. Boko Haram will still be there. Likewise bandits and herdsmen killings. Now add that to the economic implosion and all that will take place. Do you think any Nigerian leader will be stvpid enough to risk all that when he knows he can't survive it? The moment UN pushes for a referendum on Nigeria, then it's game over. You will even be shocked on how the president will accept it helplessly. |
PureFace1:You're talking rubbish! The question you should ask yourself is, how many Nigerians can afford to buy brand new cars? How many brand new cars can be found in our roads? Yet I do see a number of Innoson cars in the streets of Owerri driven by few wealthy individuals aside their pick up trucks and buses which are a common sight. It is not just government alone that patronize Innoson in the East. Many churches, organizations and companies also patronize him a lot. Nothing gives me pride than seeing Innoson brands on our roads. |
Very true. Nobody believes in Nigeria again. The country has gone to the dogs. |
Bkayyy:You're right, but this one is more like ego trip than healthy competition. The fat foo.l will be like, if Ebonyi is building their own and Anambra is building too, then Abia must have its own too. However, he forgot that Abia has more pressing issues than having an airport. The roads and sanitation need to be fixed first before talking about airport. What about remodeling Ariaria and other markets into malls and plazas instead of those old buildings that litter everywhere. Ikpeazu is a huge disappointment. Shame on him!!! |
No wahala boss. You're the real definition of Mr. Project and not Wicked of Rivers ![]() |
Imo State will soon become a major oil producing state with a bigger economy. A refinery is almost completed. A gas plant is being built. A petrochemical plant is also in the pipeline. Now more of our stolen oil wells about to be returned ![]() Imo State is on the rise!! |
PrinceOfEast:Calling Hope names on this issue at hand or asking him to go and pay pensioners on such critical thread is a distraction and misplaced priority. Be guided and know when to criticize or when to support. Hope Uzodinma needs all the support he can get on this issue. Just imagine Rivers State stealing our oil proceeds since and still be insulting us. That's rubbish! Those oil wells should be handed over to Imo State already. |
Good one. They don't even know what to do with all the oil money. Mr. Wicked will be wasting it on PDP or using it to buy SUV's for judges. Those oil wells should be handed over to Imo state already ![]() |
benzion72:Nutrition plays a big role in determining how tall people will grow. That is why Nigerians that were born abroad are relatively taller than those that grew up in Nigeria. Similarly, awareness about nutrition is a recent development in Nigeria, that is why people that were born in the 80's and earlier are way shorter than those that were born in the 90's and above. I know of a couple who are both short but they knew the importance of protein to kids. The woman was always cooking beans and all their children were average height. I'm average height at 5"7 but my kid brothers who were born much later are tall. Op, you shouldn't marry a short woman at all. It has lots of disadvantages both physical and psychological. Aside the risk of having short children, people will want to overlook or even disregard you as a couple. When you're having argument with outsiders, they will be tempted to go physical on you and your wife because you two will appear small I'm 5"7 and my wife is 5"8 but I feel like I'm 6" whenever we are together because we appear imposing somewhat but if I had married someone who is say 5"1, it would be different. |
Who be these ones kwanu? No be only Igbo leaders. Una just dey decieve una selves for there. |
Nezzjnr:Honestly, we shouldn't allow the madness of politics to spoil the beauty of this thread. |
Lol, you're obviously overrating the dum.b idiats rulling this country. Your ideas are what is taken into consideration in sane countries but unfortunately, we are talking about Nigeria here. |
einsteine:What are you talking about? If it were his personal car then it would be understandable to argue that he has his personal preferences but heck, we are talking about ambulance here. Does the brand really matter?? |
We should stop allowing moneybags with primitive mindsets from holding public office. This man is a disgrace, shame on him!! |
![]() Who cares if other Nigerians accept you as their slave master. Who cares if they've finally woken up due to our awareness campaigns. However, you guys have a little window of opportunity to restructure now or lose it all. Shekina ![]() |
chrisblack:It's obvious you don't understand how international diplomacy works. Yes, the US can't intervene in Crimea because Russia is a nuclear power fighting against a little island. They did intervene in Libya and that's why Ghaddafi was assassinated. They intervened in Syria too but the situation there was complicated. Now, in the case of Nigeria. Once we can successfully lobby Washington. They will intervene by telling the UN that genocide is going on in Nigeria and the world can't afford to withness another Rwanda, albeit a worse version. The UN will now act in the capacity of trying to save millions from dying in Nigeria, and they will inform whoever is the president to allow a UN supervised referendum to be conducted. Meanwhile, publicity on killings in the middle belt, NE and NW as well as the rest of Nigeria will be massive at this point, thus giving the UN credibility and putting the government in terrible light. At this point too, all the aggrieved ethnic groups, and mind you they're many will become emboldened to start challenging the FG while supporting the UN. No country or global body will want to be seen as supporting a tyrant who is supervising the killing of his people and they will in essence support the UN. With global attention now on Nigeria, IPOB and other separatist groups would form a critical mass and would be marching the streets of global cities in protests in solidarity with the UN mandate. Already, threats of war crimes, sanctions and millitary intervention will be in the pipeline. Remember that America and France has bases surrounding Nigeria. Ohanaeze, Afenifere, Niger Delta groups and Middle belt groups would obviously be in support of the UN and they would be mounting serious pressure locally too. Now ask yourself, which president can withstand all these pressure?? There is what is known as the Cascade effect. Things can spiral out of control and China won't even have the chance or capacity to make any difference. So, I repeat, the country can be broken up very easily without any war! |
horsepower102:I think it is borne out of envy. It pisses them off each time they see Igbo cities looking like Eastern European mid-sized cities while all they've are a mass of slums ![]() Check some aerial views of Eastern European cities or some smaller cities in South America, and you will see they look very much like our cities. Now contrast that with SW slums they call cities and see how they all look like Timbuktu in 1795 ![]() If I'm in their shoes I will be jealous too ![]() |
OkutaNla:This is rubbish! Lagos has worse places than those pictures yet everyone has forgotten about them but we Igbos are not like that, we call out our leaders whenever there is need and that is why you see people always calling the attention of government to all those bad places but it doesn't mean you guys are not having it worse. Who is bringing the attention of the Lagos State governor or his bullion van godfather to the plight of Mushin, Maroko, Mile 12, Boundary, Oyinbo, Ajegunle and so many other terrible places in Lagos that are often hidden from the public?? What about the sorry mess of those slums you call cities like Ibadan, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Sango, Ado Ekiti etc? You left all those terrible dungeons to fixate yourself on Aba that is already getting the needed attention?? Na wa for you and your misplaced priority. |
alhassanyusuf29:Lol, abo.ki now think they have an opinion on what happens between the SE and SS. This guy is so ignorant that he thinks that SS is a tribe, aren't there Igbos in SS? I no blame you, na Lugard cause all these rubbish. If people from a region that is globally known for poverty, illiteracy, terrorism, under 5 mortality, maternal mortality, diseases, homeless children etc. will leave his pitiable situation and bleak future, and decide to wade into what he knows nothing about, then that's clear case of misplaced priority. If I were to be you, I will be opening threads on possible ways to save your region from the calamity that has befallen them. Take a look at the North, and tell me if it's not the most miserable region of the world today. NE has been over-ran by Boko Haram with millions displaced and tens of thousands dead! NW is currently harvesting deaths on a daily and thousands displaced! What about NC? Same woes all over yet you left your sorry state of affairs to discuss what you're ignorant of? I'm sorry for you |
MetaPhysical:And this thing wasn't banned?? Really, this rubbish didn't earn him a lengthy ban?? So making such unguarded post against an ethnic group is now acceptable on nairaland? Seun, Lalasticala ?? |
So all the lands in the North is not enough for them? They now want to seize the ancestral lands of Southerners?? I can see that these guys are now feeling invincible. They believe they can do anything, no matter how evil it is against the South and middle belt, and still get away with it. Well, they are in for a huge surprise. As they say, pride goes before a fall and their fall will be so disastrous. It is becoming very clear that this useless country will not remain an entity beyond 2023. |

Yuck!! Even an abo.ki that trekked all the way from Niger to P.H can't have such feet
