Gabkosh: Don't mind him, I have challenged him to let compare ewedu to that shit they call soup in their land. I don't know why you guys like to decieve yourselves. Afonjas have the worst cuisines in Southern Nigeria and that's a fact! How you guys eat that disgusting algae soup called ewedu is something that beats my imagination. Check any Igbo restaurant in Abuja, Lagos, P.H or anywhere in Nigeria and see if you won't find virtually every other Nigerian trouping there to eat but check Yoruba restaurants and see if it's not only afonjas you will find there. When I was briefly staying around Tinubu, off Broad Street, I was forced to be eating in fast foods because only afonja restaurants are found there and I couldn't stand it. |

Which uba n zenith, so you must take other people glory Kikikikikikiki. We understand.
In sport, the first footballer to score for Nigeria is a Yoruba man, Yoruba dominate boxing, tennis, and running. When they mention sport, they start shouting football, football that other tribe have taken over hehehehe. Lack of comprehension is your problem. I said that Igbos are among the largest shareholders in MTN when that bingo wanted to claim MTN as an afonja company. Yes, Adenuga is a front. UBA and Zenith Bank among others are owned by Igbos. If you claim that Aniomas are not Igbos, then Ijebus and Aworis are not Yorubas. Igbos dominate football and basketball in Nigeria, both male and female. Which running do you guys dominate? You dominate boxing? Just because of Anthony Joshua? A British boxer?? Do you even know that Igbos dominated boxing and won titles before that British boxer? |

Your region doesn't attract non-indigenous students.

You always compete with North east.
Cc Proeast Onye apari. The more you write, the less sense you make. In relative terms, SE did better than other regions outside Lagos and Abuja areas in attracting FDI, even though we place more premium in our indigenous brands in order to avoid capital flight. Igbo territories found within Imo, Abia, Rivers and Delta contribute more to Nigeria through oil and gas resources than you afonjas. Igbos contribute through import duties paid at the ports than you poor afonjas. Yeye Kale can only decieve himself with fake statistics he keeps churning out through NBS. Afonja land is poverty stricken. Only wretched people can live in those slums you call cities with over 90% of the houses in various levels of dilapidation. Only a few disabled beggers can be found in our cities, as you can't find able bodied people begging here. But compare that to the SW where able bodied afonjas now form colonies of beggers with some abo.kis begging for alms. It is a common sight seeing men and women begging all over your slum settlements. I repeat, Igbos have the best economic model in Africa and that's why we keep creating wealth and retaining it. We are now seen as net investors in Africa, same way foreigners like Chinese, Indians and Lebanese are regarded. |

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria in terms of landmass yet it is the most populous and most productive. Borno is far larger than Imo, yet Imo is far more productive. This is Ibadan you love to hate.
The land mass is over 3000Km^2, Oluyole Local government in Ibadan is bigger and more Developed than your mediocre Enugu and Owerri combined.
The population of Ibadan is over 3.5M according to 2006 census, which makes her the 3rd most populous city in Nigeria after Lagos and Kano
The populace of Ibadan is more than all the major cities in igboland combined (I meant your cities).
The land mass of Ibadan is more than all your major cities combined.
I repeat Yoruba no be your mate. Ibadan is a glorified slum. Enugu and Owerri are far more beautiful than it. Kano is also far more beautiful with good houses than your slum settlement. https://www.webometrics.info/en/africa/nigeria Can you see 6 out of the top ten are Yoruba varsities (only one of these 5 is in Lagos).
Baba was taking about Local economy has if his region was the least after North east.
Dangote an Hausa man is the biggest business man in Africa, Adenuga a Yoruba man his the second...the Nigerian stocked Exchange his name dominated by Dangote, Glo, MTN banks(which none is yours, the only bank Igbos owns is fidelity bank, a failed bank)
Forbes list of Entrepreneurs is dominated by Yorubas, almost 70%.
Forbes list of richest people, 2 out of the 4 Billionaires are Yorubas, none his Igbo.
Osun has 10 standard universities, the second highest after Ogun state which has 16 universities.

Africa best economy model indeed... You remove Lagos and leave Ogun? Stop trying to play smart with someone who is smarter than you. Lagos is already filled up and the spillover is going to Ogun. So Lagos is still responsible for Ogun state figure which constitute more than two thirds of that SW figure. Lagos is the only reason why your region is still breathing otherwise it would have been worse than NE. |

BrownLondon: The fool was taking about purchasing power and population has if his region wasn't the worst in the country.
Using Network subscribers statistics.
Lagos has over 17million subscribers, the highest.
Kano was second with over 8 or 9million subscribers.
Ogun third with 8million subscribers (a state whose population was just 3million + in 2006) imagine the growth in the population.
Oyo state was 4th with 7million subscribers.
The subscribers in imo+Enugu+Abia state were not up to Oyo state alone... Just imagine...
The number of subscribers in Igboland isn't up to that of Oyo+Ondo+Ekiti (living Lagos, Ogun and Osun behind)
And one OSU was talking trash about SW and Yorubas.
Oloshi proeast Your region has a high standard of living yet they're so poor that they can't afford to travel by air. Your region has good infrastructure yet you don't have a single viable and functional airport except the one Nigerians use in Lagos. Here is a comprehensive table on Nigeria's flight statistics. Not even a single airport in your region is in the first ten. Igbo cities dominate it and that's a good pointer of which people has huge middle class and high purchasing power. Aregbese wasted billions of borrowed money in the guise of building an airport in Oshogbo but today grass has overgrown the sight. The one in Ibadan has been converted into a warehouse with animals roaming all over the premises. However, in Igbo land we have viable airports in almost all our state capitals. There is one in Owerri, Enugu, Asaba, and P.H while the ones in Awka and Abakilike would soon be completed. Igbos are far ahead of you guys in every aspect, the only thing hiding your backwardness is Lagos.

Unlike we Igbos that always come home for Christmas and also for other traditional reasons, the Yorubas hardly visit their villages. Their educated and rich class now live in Abuja and Lagos while the poor and uneducated ones now occupy those places. Hence the decay and dilapidation. Low purchasing power: those left behind have very little disposable income. They live largely from hand to mouth. So can't make any significant change in those towns and rural communities. They are naturally resistant to change: they often claim that the brown roofs that litter their region is their cultural heritage imagine someone saying that evidence of poverty and wretchedness is their heritage. Those places are likely to remain like that even in the next 2 decades. Some SE cities are already filled with residential highrises and if not for the challenge of electricity, we would have been building blocks of 10 storeys instead of the 4 and 5 storey buildings we are current building. Lol, you have seen how ugly and dilapidated their state capitals is, yet you want them to show the even more rustic towns like Ogbomosho, Ede, Iwo etc?
