Lol, Mr. Man, it is in your own best interest to support Igbo presidency. The choice is all yours, if you like apply common sense work with the Igbos to ensure we are fully integrated by supporting their quest for presidency. When Igbos believed in Nigeria, the country was making giant strides but when we were sidelined, everything went to the dogs. Many Igbos are apathetic to the Igbo presidency issue because they've lost interest in Nigeria. If guys are wise, this is an opportunity to make them have a rethink. Look all around Nigeria and you will see chaos and disorder. We are the glue holding the country together, if you believe that Nigeria will survive 2023 and beyond with another Northerner or even SW in Aso rock then you're deluded. |
IamWonderful:You're the ignorant one here, believe me. The sort of gullibility people like you exhibit is the main reason Southerners are where we are. Let me ask you, do you think Nigger-area has the capacity to repay that loan and many others they keep collecting from any willing lender no matter the terms?? How to control the ports of afonja land have always been a major concern to the landlocked Arewa. The afonjas being in control of the port will put them at their mercy after break up but if it were to be in neutral hands, like the Chinese controlling it, it would be run like a business venture with everyone including the Arewa having as much access as the afonja. |
King44:You're looking at it from a simplistic point of view. You can get radical Muslims anywhere in the world. If Muslims can be brainwashed in the Western countries such as Britain, France and United States among others, is it in Nigeria where a combination of poverty, illiteracy and ignorance is high that they won't have it easy? Was it not Yoruba Muslim fanatics that killed that British policeman Rigby in the streets of London? What about Abdulmutalab who was in America? These guys know how to groom fanatics very easily once they've access to the indigenes. Creating cells and followers will be very easy for them once they're able to infiltrate local Muslim population. To be honest with you, the SW and Edo state particularly should be very worried. |
KEVIND:OMG, I didn't even read this part before I made the post above. Anyone who can think deeply will easily decode whatever is playing out in this country, ahead of time. This is exactly what Nnamdi Kanu did too that's making all his past predictions to be appearing like prophecy. Even the recent hate speech bill is because they know that winter is coming so they want to use that to suppress people and ensure that nobody will voice out when sh!t finally hits the fan. |
If you think that North is naive or doesn't know what they're doing then you're mistaken! These guys are indirectly handing over the ports of SW to the Chinese. They know that having the ports in the hands of a neutral foriegn country will ensure they have unfettered access to it when nigger-area finally breaks up. The afonjas have been played |
Beverlyjean:Ordinarily, they should be more concerned because Islamic terrorism, be it ISIS, Al queda, Boko Haram etc. can only thrive and fester in areas where Muslims have significant local population. The SW is about 50% Muslims and another area in the South with large Muslim population is Auchi in Edo state. These are the areas they can easily infiltrate and establish bases. SE is about 99% Christians, it would be relatively hard for the terrorists to establish a presence in our region. Having a large Muslim population in any community sulks ![]() |
Misterdhee1:You see how hypocritical some of you can be. Abiola was a Muslim and yet picked another Muslim as running mate. His opponent, Tofa, was a Muslim but picked a Christian running mate. His running mate is not just a Christian but also Igbo. These factors notwithstanding, Abiola was able to Anambra state and got substantial percentage of votes in the other SE states. Is there any region where Abiola won all the states completely?? |
Difrent:Are you for real? Who is being greedy between the Igbos that have been sidelined since 1970 and Yorubas or Hausas that have been rotating power and virtually everything of what in Nigeria between them? GEJ was the only president that gave Igbos a sense of belonging since the war ended in 1970. When it became obvious he was running an all inclusive government, the next thing was a gang-up to remove him and replace him with someone who has returned to the same status quo of subjugating the Igbos as a national policy. GEJ was not defeated in a free and fair election, he was threatened and subsequently removed in a charade they called election. GEJ knew and rightly said that his ambition was not worth the blood of any Nigerian. He simply walked away instead of allowing the gang-up against him to result in massive bloodshed. The impression that has been created which most discerning Igbos have understood quite well is that we are not wanted in Nigeria and anybody who associates with us or tries to allow us to have the same privilege with those that won the civil war will be removed by any means possible. If what is being done to Igbos in Nigeria, is being done to any other group, they would even do worse. |
chrisblack:It is obvious you lack the ability to read and comprehend. Read my reply to him again. Who is talking about fighting a war with Nigeria? Igbos can achieve Biafra without firing a single shot! Nigeria already has lots of fractures we can manipulate to break away. Thank God we have influential people in strategic places globally who can reach out to powerful individuals. Nigeria is not a nuclear power or even a mid-level powerful country that can challenge the US and UN should they endorse our break up. Which president will want to dare them? Nigeria is already very close to anarchy. Look at the NE, NW, NC and even the South is becoming increasingly unsafe. The country is in tatters and as it is now, a declaration in Washington can break it up without any form of resistance. |
loopman:The truth is that no zone can make itself president without the active support of others. The SW couldn't make it until others supported them. Even the NW and NE had been voting for Buhari but he couldn't make it until he got additional support from the SW in 2015. When others keep telling Igbos that nobody will support them, or that other zones won't vote for them, you're simply saying that we are not needed in Nigeria. We have an adage in Igbo that says he who is rejected does not reject himself. So, we have had enough patience already and if by 2023 we are sidelined again, then it means we would have to take our destiny in our own hands and walk away. |
Oracleforce:It's obvious you have saw dust for brain. Please don't quote me next time, I'm allergic to dull people ![]() |
And Northern Nigeria is where they're coming |
hollah123:I don't understand what you mean by Yorubas playing their game well. In 1993, Abiola won an election that was considered to be free and fair, but instead of allowing him to rule, the North used the military to frustrate him. He was eventually killed in prison, same as his wife. That was obviously a bad thing and the North realized that was an injustice. In order to pacify the Yorubas, it was decided that in the best interest of Nigeria, and for peace to reign, the presidency should go to the SW. Is there any special thing the Yorubas did? They were agrieved and rightly so, and were pacified with Obasanjo presidency. At the moment, the Igbos are agrieved in Nigeria, and we have every reason to be. Anybody who is not evil-minded knows that too. Had it been the Igbos are a minor group, Nigeria would have got away with it, but we are talking about a major ethnic group here! Anyone who is observant can clearly see that Nigeria is a very sick country, and it can't survive a major shake-up considering how disorganized it is already. The country is gradually breaking up and injustice against the Igbos is fueling it. The only sensible thing to do now is to look for ways to convince us to stay with Nigeria. |
Misterdhee1:Check GEJ's appointments and you will see that it had a national spread. Igbos are only demanding for fairness and equity, but if that's too much to ask for, then we have the right to walk away from the union and determine our fate. |
Blackking98:Lol, you must be a commedian. Which forces exactly? amotekun ![]() |
hollah123:How could any of them have won when the system was manipulated to make way for a Yoruba president to emerge? The military heirachy knew that only a Yoruba president could heal the wounds and pacify the Yorubas over the humiliation and death of Abiola who won a free and fair elections but was jailed and killed in prison. |
hollah123:Lol, so you take the things that happen in Nigeria on their face value? Ask yourself why Obasanjo and Olu Falae emerged as flag bearers in the two major parties in 1999? Who sponsored Obasanjo then, a man that just came out of prison? The military heirachy believed that only a Yoruba president will heal the wounds, following the humiliation and death of Abiola. Things don't just happen naturally in Nigeria. They're manipulated from behind the scenes. |
FrLukas:It's obvious you're the one who needs to be enlightened on what's going on. |
Whiteangel1234:Lol, that's what they don't know. Many Nigerians are incapable of critical reasoning. The country is already in the doldrums and I can tell you for free that Nigeria can never survive a total Igbo move for balkanization. There won't even be any need to take up arms. To even fight who? The NE is in shambles. The NW is in total disarray. The NC is a killing field and it is fast moving south wards. The economy is in a palous state. Nigeria is already in coma and a serious push by the Igbos will break it up totally. |
hollah123:Let me address your own points respectively 1. Igbos are not threatening anyone, at least we aren't saying we are going to kill anyone or to set Nigeria on fire. Rather, it is a promise. Telling Nigerians that we will chart our own course where we will have our dignity is not a threat. We have the right to self determination. 2. Having a secession clause in the Constitution or not doesn't change anything in the long run. We have the numbers and global spread to bring Nigeria to its knees. At the moment, the percentage of Igbos asking for Biafra is not up 30% yet Nigeria is feeling the pressure, then imagine what will happen when up to 80% of us become passionate about it. Igbos make up the highest number of Nigerians abroad and if they form a critical mass against Nigeria, the result will be devastating on our corporate image. Also, we have influential personalities in strategic places globally that could help us dismantle Nigeria. Nigeria is a very weak country and it would be gone once the US and UN are convinced to break it. |
If those that want Nigeria to continue existing are wise and sensible, they will see the quest for Igbo presidency as a do or die affair. This is because the Igbos are gradually pulling out of the union and the effect of their psychological withdrawal is having serious adverse effects on Nigeria. The Yorubas already believe that Nigeria is given them what Oduduwa cannot give them, but the Igbos believe that the worst form of Biafra will be better than what they're experiencing in Nigeria. Who between these two groups do you think should be pacified for peace and progress? |
Nwodo has said it all, nothing more to add. Igbos have passed the ball and it is now in their court. So, whatever they return is what will decide the way forward. Igbos have shown more love to Nigeria than any other group but what did we get in return? Hate, envy, jealousy and wickedness. They joined forces with the sole purpose of keeping us down. However, it is no longer business as usual, something will definitely give this time around. Igbos embraced GEJ, not because he is an Igbo man but simply because he ran an all inclusive government which the Igbos have always asked for, and I don't think that too much. We stood with him through thick and thin, even when facts on ground showed he did more for the North than any other zone. When the results were being announced, and it became obvious he was going to lose, many places in the East became quiet like a graveyard. I could feel the frustration, anger and sadness in many people. I believe it was at this point that many Igbos joined IPOB because they totally lost faith in Nigeria. Now, imagine what will happen in 2023 if/when the Igbos are sidelined again. I don't need any soothsayer to tell me what is going to happen. That will definitely be the proverbial last straw that will break the camel's back. What Nwodo said is obviously what is going to happen and that is why IPOB is praying that Igbos should be sidelined so that they can achieve a consensus in the demand for Biafra. |

IkwerrePikin:It is obvious that you're still a novice when it comes to politics. Do you think a minority can win presidential elections in Nigeria? What did you think made GEJ to align with Igbos? He knew his Ijaw people are too small to provide him a structural base. Now, if the Ijaws that are far more populous and influential than the Ikwerre, coupled with their militancy blackmail tool, couldn't give GEJ a strong base, is it a minute minority like Ikwerre with nothing to leverage on, that can give Amaechi a base?? Do you think that if Amaechi should face half of the attacks Tinubu has encountered that he can survive it? Who will deflate such attacks for him? Edwin Clark who is the most respected personality in the SS today has been clamouring for Igbo presidency. Do you think the Ijaws or the Ibibios or the Aniomas or the Urhobos will see Amaechi as their own?? Amaechi is just like an orphan with nobody to fight for him and he has no chance at all. |
IkwerrePikin:Stop decieving yourself. Amaechi has nothing to offer anybody. Someone who goes about signing documents that were written in Chinese language without requesting for translation is a mugu. Nigeria does not need someone like Amaechi because he is obviously incompetent. Worse still, he has no base. Who will fight for him when sh!t hits the fan? The Igbos will always fight for our own and we have the numbers and intellectuals to do so. The Yorubas will always fight for their own too. Now, you should ask yourself who will fight for Amaechi when they start dragging him about, as would definitely happen to any presidential candidate. He belongs to a minute minority group that has no clout and no influence whatsoever. Ikwerre should go and play with their mates like the Ogoni, Etche, Kalabari and other clans. We are not in the same category with them in any way. Nyesom Wike is a local champion who is wasting Rivers State money like a drunken sailor in the name of trying to be influential in PDP. He is still a novice in the grand scheme of things. It is the SE that pulls SS along (not the other way round), considering that we Igbos constitute a significant percentage of SS population and they'll always go along with us. The worst thing the North will do will be to support someone like Amaechi who we don't accept as an Igbo man and their hope of appealing to Igbos to jettison Biafra and accept Nigeria will be lost. They're not stupid not to see that. Amaechi has no chance at all, but as a human being, he can continue dreaming and fantasizing ![]() |

Lol, Biafrans are really dealing with Nigeria in the diplomatic front. Last time, IPOB bought a club in Germany named Nigeria FC and renamed it Biafra FC Igbos are gradually tilting towards Biafra psychologically and if nothing is done to fully embrace them in Nigeria, they will do serious damage to the corporate identity of Nigeria. They have the numbers and global spread to seriously humiliate Nigeria. |
Guestlander:Don't mind him, we should pray for Lebanon because of a single explosion that occurred there today, yet explosions have been occuring in Nigeria on a daily basis with hundreds dying on a weekly yet the whole world ignores it. Rubbish!! |
Despicable acts! You refuse to pay them their money and instead unleashed hoodlums on old men and women?? The Supreme Court governor is playing with fire. Ya jukwaa ese! |
IkwerrePikin:You really need to be careful of what you're wishing yourself. You're in no position to threaten anyone. Using the Fulani analogy is wrong because the Fulanis morphed with the Hausas to become a majority ethnic group and they also control the army, otherwise they won't be acting the way they're doing. However, Ikwerre on the other is a minute minority surrounded by enemies. Other tribes in Rivers State already not happy with you and they're looking for an opportunity to take their pound of flesh. We have nothing to gain by having you with us. If the Yorubas, a major ethnic group can't even imagine to threaten Igbo investments in Lagos, is it a minute minority like Ikwerre? |
