IkwerrePikin:Lol, to be honest with you, you're living in fantasy land. Firstly, the North has always been dominated by the Hausa/Fulani and the other minorities have accepted their subservient role. That is why NW has continued to dominate them without much complain but that is not the case with South. While Igbos and Yorubas are the dominant ethnic groups in the South, the southern minorities are not being subjugated. Secondly, the North are currently in control of local politics in Nigeria. However, the Igbos are threatening to break up Nigeria and they no that the threat is very real. They also know that the only way they can hope to take the sail out of the momentum of the separatist movement will be by breaking their support base by supporting an Igbo president. So, it is in their best interest to support Igbo president as a way of stemming the breakup attempts. Now, this is why Amaechi has suddenly become more Igbo than Ikwerre. He understands where the pendulum is swinging and is trying to reap where he did not sow. To be honest with, I see no difference between Amaechi or Tinubu or James Ibori. Thirdly, North will rather continue ruling than allow another Yoruba man to rule considering they have ruled for 8 years as president and another 8 years as vice. If Tinubu or any Yoruba is allowed to rule, it would mean that they're no longer the power brokers and that is something they're afraid to lose. Fourthly, SS is a heterogeneous zone, unlike the SE or SW. The Ijaw does not consider you as his brother and neither does the Ibibios, Anioma, Urhobos etc. Even within the SS, Ikwerre is not considered as a force to reckon with and you lack the numbers or spread to influence things. By the time our campaign to ostracize and isolate you guys gathers momentum, you guys will be completely relegated to the background. Amaechi will soon become an orphan, he will neither be seen as Igbo nor Bini. His attempts to force himself on us will be totally rejected. Ikwerre are free to use our language, culture and tradition but they should stop attaching themselves on us to gain popularity. We don't want you guys in Biafra and neither do we want you to be a part of the Igbo nation. Why can't you get that into your head? You guys have been claiming to be Bini but now we are saying you shouldn't attach yourselves to us, you refuse. What exactly do you guys want?? |
IkwerrePikin:We have already started the campaign since. Two can play game! Let me see if your 400,000 population can withstand 40 million Igbos. By the time we are done with the campaign, Amaechi will be seeing Igboland as a no go area ![]() If he thinks he will wear Ishi Agu tomorrow and come to campaign as an Igbo man just to decieve our people then he has failed. He will be like Buhari wearing Ishi Agu ![]() |
ChangedMan1999:I quite understand your concern, but do you know why the Ikwerres have continued in this dance of shame for a long time now? The answer is simple, they felt they have nothing to lose considering that the more they insult us and use us to gain popularity, the more our people continue to extend the olive branch while hoping they will turn a new leaf. But that's a very naive, emotional and simplistic way to deal with such situations. Natural law (You can call it Newton's third law) dictates that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction to it. For 50 years now, we have treating this issue with kids gloves while they continue to get emboldened. Are you even aware that the seeming Igbophobia being witnessed in parts of Rivers State is directly as a result of Ikwerre hate mongering against us. If we allow it to fester, we risk losing our Igbo brothers in the state. The impression being created and pushed forward is that Igboid groups that try to identify with our identity are demonized and demeaned. It is crucial for us (and we have the capacity to do so) to put them in check. We should stand with those that identify with us and humiliate those that try to put us to shame. Firstly, the Ikwerres stand to lose a lot once we cut them off. They will be neither Bini nor Igbo, thus in essence, they will have no identity Secondly, they will become vulnerable and weak considering their small population, and that will make them open to suffer humiliation, and I bet you, in a state like Rivers and region like SS, they can't survive it. This is when they will start looking to attach with us but it will be too late. Had it been that Rivers State is an Ikwerre state or that they own P.H 100%, then it would have been worth it but they don't!! Have it in mind that it would be next to impossible to have them in Biafra without having other minorities in it too, considering that one city can't be in two countries. |
Wow, this great news. Big Igbo companies supporting each other This is exactly how the Jews were able to dominate the American economy. They support each other and their own companies and give them right of first refusal before considering others. |
So what are we supposed to do with this information? This man should focus on giving his people good governance and stop behaving like a tout. Wike keeps playing to the gallery with all these things just to distract people. Look at all the monies available at his disposal and you wonder where it is going. Akwa Ibom of yesterday will soon over take Rivers yet the man just dey yarn opata. Nonsense! |
Igboid:The guy is so naive. We that have studied Nigeria and understand how capricious the system is, knows which side is definitely going to lose out if this campaign to ostracize and isolate them is sustained. Firstly, South South unlike the SE and SW, is a heterogeneous zone where the constituent parts are always in a battle of supremacy to outdo one another. The region is a shark infested waters where the weak and vulnerable are trampled upon. The Ijaws have understood this game perfectly and that is why they always unite irrespective of the fact that they're broken up into different states. The Ijaws are a minority in Delta and even Warri but the Urhobo and Itshekiri are afraid of them. Other groups in Rivers State have been complaining bitterly on how the Ikwerres are perpetuating themselves in power against justice and fairness. However, what many undiscerning people have not understood is that Ikwerre is using Igbo influence to sustain their hold on power. Igbos living in P.H outnumber any other group and coupled with the other Igboid groups across the state have combined to project the Ikwerre as being the overwhelming majority which is far from reality. However, once it becomes obvious that Igbos are no longer with them, it will make them weak and vulnerable and their domination of local politics will dissipate. |
IkwerrePikin:Lol, this one is just decieving himself. Who or what is Ikwerre in Nigeria for you to start talking about Ikwerre presidency? On what ground will you even demand for Ikwerre presidency? As South South's turn or as Ikwerre's turn in the rotational aspect?? Let me remind you that as a region, it is South East's turn and as an ethnic group as well as, it is Igbos turn since Nigeria sits on a tripod. However, also note that Nigeria has over 300 minority tribes of which Ikwerre is one of them, so I wonder on what basis you will demand for Ikwerre presidency when the other 300, many of them far more populous than your minute minority group has not even nursed such ambition. THE JOKE IS ON YOU ![]() |
Winterfell2:And who wants them to be Igbos?? We Igbos don't need them rather they're the ones forcing themselves on us. Their leaders are the ones trying to attach themselves on us. You should rather go and take otapiapia just like Awo did ![]() |
ChangedMan1999:No, it would be very wrong to ignore someone or a group that keep throwing slurs at you everytime. These guys are doing serious damage on the Igbo corporate identity. You don't ignore someone who impersonates you to do damage to your name rather you put up a disclaimer so that gullible ones won't fall victim. I don't advocate for them to belong to the Igbo nation or even Biafra since they have absolutely nothing to add or remove from us. This thread is just to help create awareness among our people to stop seeing these guys as brothers and start relating with them as the enemies they truly are. |
Oh my big aunty. The real slay Mama of Africa I don't know why seeing your face alone puts a smile on my face all the time. We are so proud of you!! |
Lol, is this one too a prophecy or based on permutations and combinations ![]() You will overthrow a president in this Africa without such country boiling? Until we get to the bridge Mr prophet or is it Bishop ![]() But joke apart, so highly placed people like Bishops and clergy men are now calling for Biafra so openly |
QuotaSystem:You're only decieving yourself. The threat on secession is never a blackmail too. Many Igbos have already given up on Nigeria. However, the polity is already strecthed like this and many people are now seeing the breakup of Nigeria as a huge possibility, even when Igbos that are seriously pushing for break-up are not up to 50%. Now imagine what will happen when 90% pushes for it. |
MetaPhysical:Lol, people like Joe Igbokwe and other hustlers like him in Lagos are persona non grata in Igboland. Nigeria will have nothing to benefit by allowing Tinubu or another SW to rule after 8 years as president and 8 years as vice president. The North also knows this too. So Tinubu is fighting a lost battle already. |
I concur with them. The funny thing is that I'm even apathetic to the Igbo presidency. The last straw that will certainly see all Igbos pushing in one direction is come 2023 and an Igbo man doesn't occupy Aso rock. Even by then, Nigerianists will have no reason or excuse to hold separatists on. If just about 40% of Igbos at the grassroots are championing the struggle and Nigeria is having it this hot, then imagine what will happen when neutrals like us and many of our elite joins the struggle, it will be game over. |
Obalatule:Don't tell me that this relic is still existing or is that Timbuktu in 1795 ![]() |
post=92415651:Lol, just look at the filth, and you haven't even touched the surface. I was shocked when someone showed the skyline of Soweto, the worst slum in South Africa and I couldn't believe how it turned out to be more beautiful and liveable than Ibadan and other SW The funny and most scary part of it is that those slums of SW will still be like this in the next decade |
vicenzo:It has already fused as one city. What demarcate them is just the Niger bridge. If Lagos mainland and Island can be one city despite being demarcated by large lagoons then Onitsha and Asaba are already joined together. The second bridge will even escalate it the more ![]() |
Factshunter:Lol, I bet you that Lagos and all the slums in the Waste has worse pictures. From the picture, you can see that what is required is just to fix the road and that place will look decent. However, same can't be said of your region considering that 80% of your settlements are totally unamendable. |
vicenzo:That's the spirit. I love the way our people are investing in Asaba and they're appreciative of it, unlike confused identity crises ridden people who use our names, culture and identity but claim to be Bini. Nollywood is now based in Asaba and it's helping the city immensely while building our cultural heritage and bond with Igbos west of the River Niger. |
Wow, Igbo cities always have an exotic look like average mid sized towns in the West. By West, I mean in developed countries because what we have in the Waste are glorified slums. I didn't call anyone but watch how guilty conscience will not allow some people to breath ![]() |
Wow, this is beautiful |
Beautiful ![]() |
Ojiofor:Don't underestimate the power of the social media. Some of the people we discuss here even visit here too. Ohanaeze is doing all those things because nobody is questioning it. The social media is powerful enough to change people's perspectives and the more we build on it, the more we are able to shape opinion and influence things. If anyone should be bothered about all these it should be them and not us. |
Ojiofor:Who are the Ohanaeze? Don't you know that Ohanaeze is you and me? It is such publicity that will put them in their place, otherwise they will continue to eat their cake and still have it. We have nothing to lose by creating the awareness, but they have everything to lose once we ostracize and isolate them. Use your number 6! |
Mo3891:It will never happen. Nobody from Bini will claim Igbo presidency and that is why we are creating awareness already. |
Dogogo1900:I'm not responsible for your illiteracy. Ask someone who can read to tell you what I wrote above. We are trying to let everyone know that Ikwerre is a Bini tribe and you're here saying nonsense. Between we Igbos rejecting them and the Ikwerre using our language, culture and tradition, and even their leader Amaechi famzing us even when we have told him to go to his Bini brothers, who is begging the other? |
MelesZenawi:Iwu ezigbo anu ohia. When did creating awareness become a problem to you? Ishi odikwa gi nma? Efulefu like you. Gaa juo nma gi ebe village onye fulani tuwara ya ime oji muo gi no ![]() |
Nwanyiogwashi:Nobody is disgracing anyone here. We are only trying to create awareness on the fact that we must know who our real enemies are and totally ostracize them. Many Igbos still regard them as Igbos, so it through such awareness that we will forever cut them off. We should tell the world that we have nothing to do with them at every given opportunity, be it in real life, Facebook, nairaland, Twitter, Market associations etc. |
onyechez:Honestly, here in Owerri, we now have other big malls in almost every section of the city and they are all facing serious competition. I guess it was the competition and the COVID-19 economic strangulation that is forcing them to leave. I don't consider this as a loss to the local economy since their profits are repatriated to SA but the local brands will keep their profits at home. In addition, they will be seeking to divest, which means that Nigerians will still be the ones to buy it and rename the franchise. This is one thing I like Igbos for, that business sense and can do spirit is what led to the creation of several brands like Next, Everyday, Market Square and that other one that started from Enugu, I can't remember the name to develop chains of malls in major cities across the country. In essence, it is South Africa's loss and Nigeria's gain ![]() |
5. They celebrate our enemies Recently, Wike in trying to tell everyone how much they hate us, went ahead to name a stadium after Gowon. The same head of state that santioned the blockade of Biafra that resulted in the death of millions of Igbos, especially children. This is akin to Palistan naming a stadium after Hitler. What message do you think they will be passing to the Jews and how do you think the Jews will react to it? Come to think of it, what exactly did Gowon do for them to warrant naming a stadium after him? If they wanted to celebrate a Northern personality, then there are many in the North Wike could have used but no, he chose Gowon because he wants to pass a message to the Igbos. 6. Ikwerre needs Igbos more than we need them I have really looked at all these brouhaha about Ikwerre and I was shocked to realize that we have stomached unnecessary insults from a minute minority that has nothing tangible to offer us. They've been riding on our numbers to get ahead of others in Rivers State yet they will still turn around to insult us. Once we can successfully ostracize and isolate them effectively, other Igboid communities in Rivers State will now have the incentive to identify with us and also enjoy the advantage we will give them. 7. The worst enemy is the enemy within Allowing the Ikwerres or even seeing them as brothers when they consider us as enemies is a dangerous thing to do. Now, I will give this analogy. A man has many children, and all of them keeps bringing honours to the family name except a Black sheep that brings nothing but shame and dishonour to the family. Everyone has tried to talk sense into him but he refuses adamantly and keeps trying to destroy family members in one way or the other. A wise family will totally disown such child and make sure he doesn't come close otherwise he will succeed someday in achieving his aims of destroying the family. Any Igbo that celebrates or even identifies with the Ikwerre or their sons and daughters needs his or her head reexamined. |
2. They are seriously demarketing us in the Niger Delta Many Igbos are yet to understand the games, this minute minority called Ikwerre is playing. These people are dangerously trying to erase anything Igbo in Rivers State particularly and Niger Delta in extension. The hate they are preaching against Igbos is making it difficult for other Igbo groups to openly identify with us. You now see many Igbo villages answering ethnic nationality, even those whose villages were divided into two and pushed into SE and SS respectively. You will see the ones in the SE answering Igbo while the ones in Rivers are now answering ethnic nationality with claims of Bini identity. If we allow these to continue without making an example out of the Ikwerre, all other Igbo communities will see no advantage identifying with us. 3. They claim that we need them to have access to the sea They've sold this dummy for a long time now. It is not uncommon to hear them claiming that Igbos are trying to associate with them because we are in desperate need of access to the ocean. Lol, this is quite laughable. On the face value, it may seem so to the unsuspecting and unfortunately, many have believed this lie. However, the fact, as can be proven with a critical study of the Atlas will indicate that Southern parts of Abia, around Obuaku are closer to the Atlantic ocean in nautical miles than Ikwerre land. In addition, an all year round navigable river flows directly into the ocean without having anything to do with Ikwerre. Even the Ikwerre are totally landlocked without any of their community lying on the coast. 4. They claim we need their oil and gas resources This is another lie that has been told severally. How many oil wells or gas reserves are there in Ikwerre land? Can you compare it to what is available in other Igbo communities especially around the Imo, Abia and Rivers boundaries? The truth is that Ikwerre has nothing to offer Igbos more than we already have in abundance. |

This is exactly how the Jews were able to dominate the American economy. They support each other and their own companies and give them right of first refusal before considering others.
