The money Jonathan set aside for part development of Niger Delta was looted abroad and later used for Aviation business. They looted heavily to empower their kinsmen for businesses from automobile, aviation, pharmaceuticals, Telecom, real estate, import/export, etc. How many South South people benefitted? I travelled a lot during Jonathan era. From Onitsha to Benin to Ore was enjoyment. From Portharcourt, after Mbiama junction to Warri, Benin, Ore was peaceful, a little after Ore, to travel to Sagamu to Lagos, it was crisis, it was chaotic. You will spend thrice the time spent from Onitsha or from Portharcourt to Ore to get to Lagos. OBI was the Economic Adviser, why didn't he advise Jonathan to start the road from Sagamu or Lagos?

The whole Africa is already aware of the internal crisis in Nigeria.

Peter Obi is right. The so called coastal highway from Lagos- Calabar is a huge project such as which Nigeria has no history of completing. That is why they started constructing from Lagos axis, just to ensure that Lagos is completed before the 8years or 4 years tenure elapses. We know about East-West Road that had taken ages, yet not completed.
It is important for Federal government to put in place a plan for adequate funding of all uncompleted Federal Road project littered across the country before embarking on another monumental projects.

Colonel Victor Banjo - a Yoruba planned Biafra war strategy, led Biafra to War. Eventually when he realized things cannot work, he opted for alternative options. OBI in addition to being the Anambra State Governor was also an Economic Adviser to Jonathan when Jonathan was in power. In addition to estimated $60 billion dollars Obasanjo left, oil jumped up to $130/ barrel and production was about 2.2 millions barrel per day and above. They looted everything. The greatest robbery and looting in the history of Africa. They did not save one Kobo. They spent almost almost 30 billions out of the money Obasanjo left and borrowed heavily. They empowered their kinsmen in businesses from automobile, aviation, etc. They threatened Buhari not to probe the government. Jonathan in a nationwide television network address to nation before handing over to Buhari said nobody should probe him, they should start the probe from 1960. He agreed a lot happened but that was how it has been since independence in his word. NTA can help us to play that address. South South never benefitted from Jonathan government. They hijacked his government.

On Social Media, particularly Facebook, ever since this project was awarded, a lot of International Civil Engineering Companies have been advertising their highway projects. Chinese Civil Engineering Companies have been advertising their highway projects. They are targeting Africa countries. There have been competition among Africa countries displaying highways and road networks in their countries and later buildings. This began massively after this project was awarded. Most countries in Africa are aware of this project because of Social media.

When they listed best Airports in Africa, highest scheduled flights in Africa, and others Nigeria was missing. When they listed dirty cities in Africa, most populous city in Africa, you will find Lagos. Somebody told them the plight of Lagos in Nigeria. He said Nigeria is a country at War with itself especially at war with Lagos. He drew attention of other Africa countries to the opposition to the Lagos Calabar Highway Project. Many people from other countries now know better. When SA displays Jo'burg, Capetown and Durban , you have new city development in Egypt and other developed cities in Africa it is to showcase the beauty of their countries. I settled for Atiku Abubakar. Some of the reasons were he worked hard for the project, he never indicated interest in the job to me, he had worked closely with Shehu Yar'Adua and Shehu never passed any adverse comment on him,he had been elected as a Governor which already put him on the pedestal to move up politically, but he had been short- changed in the election that would have put M.K.O.Abiola in power, and he seemed to have some national outreach.
What I did not know, which came out glaringly later, was his parental background which was somewhat shadowy, his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time,a propensity for poor judgment, his belief and reliance on marabouts , his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out on all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety truth and national interest for self and selfish interest.
May be some of these traits and poor attributes are not easy to see until you work with the person concerned. And those who should tell would keep quite so that they would not be accused of running others down .
For instance until later, when a distinguished chief from Bauchi pointed out to me the value of pedigree, queried Atiku's pedigree and blamed me for making a wrong choice, I did not pay attention to Atiku's parental background.

Furthermore until all efforts to help Atiku change had failed- and having stumbled upon a report of inquiry carried out on him- I asked one of my predecessors why he did not inform me of how bad the report was and he said that he thought I knew.
He said, " This was a man I wanted to dismiss and jail but for the intervention of Shagaya and Shehu Yar'Adua. ". I took him at face value. However if his appointment was an error, I fully accepted responsibility for the genuine mistake.
And knowing all that I discovered about him, what would have been an unpardonable mistake and sin against God would have been to foist him on Nigeria."

Atiku is a FRAUD and you are one of his accomplices. I think Prof Pat Utomi can see what is happening. When I left nairaland (babaolofin) I promised never to return but some people forcibly brought me here during Presidential yacht misinformation and later on this project because of Senator Ningi's allegation. I observed Prof Pat Utomi joined in the budget padding discussion which Obidient people started rather than faced the crux of the matter raised by Ningi. I had said Prof Pat Utomi as an intellectual ought to know that Ningi's allegation is mainly because of the Lagos Calabar Highway Project announced by Umahi and the release of FG Counterpart funding for the first section of the project. I think everybody can now see the crux of the matter.

Senator Ningi listed major projects in the North which he said are abandoned and never mentioned any project in the South (Southwest and South South) .

You have also brought the same accusations though yours is not elaborate you only mentioned Maradi railroad and Abuja Kano highway projects. I will remind you that Lagos Ibadan expressway is less than 150km and Tinubu government in less than one year through David Umahi has been everywhere on projects despite a bastardized economy he inherited. More importantly, you said Tinubu cannot finish the road and any Northern government will abandon it. Is that not how Yaradua killed OLOKOLA LNG project started by OBJ?

The main thing is that Atiku believes he owns Nigeria with his co-travellers. Atiku fought OBJ as a VP. Jonathan and Osinbajo were just like errand boys to their principals. I will stop on this for now.

Why didn't he invite Amaechi to come and defend Rail project to Maradi? He should have invited Kyari to come and defend Ajaokuta Kaduna Kano pipeline project. Billions of dollars spent to prospect for oil in the North for 4 decades should be probed by Atiku. The 16 years of Atiku's INTEL Logistics deals at the Seaports during Obasanjo and Yaradua Jonathan government should also be probed . Atiku never played opposition when Nigeria was being impoverished with dubious Maritime deals, Petroleum (oilfields and crude oil) deals, Defence and Security Contracts deals because they own Nigeria. It is their birthright.

Yaradua Jonathan did not save one Kobo as president and spent estimated $25 billion dollars out of the money ($60 billion) Obj left . OBJ met $5.5 billion in the reserve as at May 29, 1999 and left $60 billion in 2007 after paying debt. Jonathan still borrowed. Everything was looted. Atiku never said anything. Less than one year Tinubu government cleared a forex backlog of 7 billion dollars.

Where was Atiku during Buhari government? I remembered he played opposition by being the father of the bride during Buhari's daughter wedding. It is now very clear when IBB said he was threatened not to handover to ABIOLA.

Why is there Dakar - Lagos Highway Project by the African Union? Why didn't Jonathan start the South South road to Lagos from Sagamu end during his tenure? Why was money not released to Berger / RCC consortium handling Lagos Ibadan expressway since 2013 he awarded the contract until he left office. Berger and RCC consortium only mobilized to site without funding last quarter of 2014 because of election and suspended work end of 2014 to monitor outcome of Presidential election. At this point 1% of the jobs had not been done. This is the only major project of Yaradua Jonathan government in South West. They killed OLOKOLA LNG project started by OBJ and expected votes from South West by instructing Berger and RCC to mobilize to site end of 2014. Despite inheriting very bad situation, Dave Umahi has been everywhere on projects and money released to States.

This is my last submission on Atiku on this topic. The money Atiku made from INTEL Logistics deals during Obasanjo and Yaradua Jonathan government is enough to complete this road.

Atiku and his co travellers have problems with the project because it gives them depression. IBB/Abacha created mess, OBJ came and cleared it. Tinubu is around to clear the mess created since OBJ left they are complaining.
Atiku or his IBO spokesman mentioned Gilbert the owner of HITECH. There are so many things giving them hypertension - the Atlantic City and the Lekki Deep Seaport and the survival of Victoria Island/Lekki/Ajah which they expected would be submerged by Atlantic Ocean but which by Mercy of God and Courage of Tinubu survived.

In those days whenever I visit Onne Ports Complex I always weep bitterly for Nigeria so, it is the same Atiku that is still talking.

This project is a legacy project . There is another one from Badagry to the North.

Yaradua/Jonathan government embezzled estimated $100 billion dollars without awarding the project. The only legacy project of Obasanjo was the OLOKOLA LNG project which Obasanjo unintelligently started at dying minutes of his government. Yaradua came and killed it.

Atiku never said anything about Ajaokuta Kaduna Kano gas pipeline project, he never said anything about railway line to Maradi and other projects and high level corruption and disbursement of funds to farmers without any return.

Again, it is the IBOS that are pushing him. Atiku does not have a moral ground to challenge the project under the difficult situation Tinubu inherited the government.

He talked about inability of HITECH to complete Lekki Ajah road. Is he the one that awarded the contract? Is he the one that obstructed the project? HITECH reconstructed Airport Road to Oshodi when FG abandoned it for years. The Apapa Oshodi concrete road was constructed by HITECH / Dangote . Till date we are all witnesses to the quality of these projects.

Obasanjo trusted Yaradua on Sango Otta and Abeokuta road and OLOKOLA LNG project he was disappointed. Atiku should not allow himself to be used against this project as it is already too late for him.
