If you recently received ITA i advise you to go and process Nigerian police clearance asap.

They have recently changed the commander at alagbon and the whole police clearance process is changing. Now you may require NIN, an online payment and a very problematic process in alagbon. You don't have much time so don't wait till last minute like me.. Now I'm begging police officers left and right to assist in anyway possible.

Just apply online, the process is easy. You will be requested to go and do biometrics though I was still robbed of 20k when I got to the office, they insisted I pay 20k else they won’t capture me and of course it is to a personal account.

Most banks give signed statements that you can auto generate online

Please my friend got a passport request for visitors visa. he applied since 2021 and he resides in Enugu, how does he send his passport to the canadian embassy for the final decision.
the passport he applied with has expired so he got new passport. can he submit the old one too or just the new one.

He should send a webform, attaching a copy of the new passport. Then submit both the old and new passport to VFS Abuja or Lagos depending on which is closer or where he got his biometrics done.

My 6 months bank statement for POF is 72 pages. Scanning them is huge and can never fit into the 4mb file size, I have tried ALL possible shrinking methods.

Is it okay to reduce this to 4 months, since I'm using gift deed anyway?

Submit it as generated, no need to scan. All banks provide this service, or use my bank statement and stop worrying your compression…

You don’t have to, you can pay in CAD, it is cheaper than paying in Naira for most Airlines

Update on the Preview Score not Met.

I want to believe the POF requirement have been updated on the IRCC server but proper communication has not been done.

There has been the annual review or increase in the POF.

preITA, I used 20400 as POF and after ITA I put the same 20400 but the requirement was showing not met. I tried to add it to 21000 and it was still showing NOT MET. I later used 21400(increment of $1000), lo and behold, it worked.

So I guess that's the issue.

They don’t have to communicate everything to you, the onus is on you the traveler to remain abreast with all the changes and policies. The POF as stated has always been just an estimate, in reality, your expenses will surpass those. No need to blame IRCC for everything.

Has anyone here traveled to Canada via Air France? What was your experience? I’d appreciate it if you could share some reviews.

I think they are one of the best if not the best but you will have long layover in France, 5-8 hours. Else you are good to go. If you want a shorter trip then fly BA which has a 1-3hrs layover in London. That is the shortest you can get I believe.

Middle name doesn’t matter, I have similar situation and IRCC have never frowned at it

The funds are not enough, the banks charge a higher exchange rate, add another 30-50 USD.

Might want to go to US for other reasons other than studies. I think many people want to get PR so they can get easy access to US.

No be quarrel, we are only arguing and it is for learning purposes. You don’t know where I fall in this bracket so don’t assume am a protagonist. I earn 6 figures and I believe it can be better. I speak about what I hear people complain about everyday, Citizens, residents and new comers alike. Check the time it takes to get a US Visa appointment and it will tell you the real story. Unlike your initial quote, UAE does have a high influx of immigrants but no pathway to residency and that is why most have chosen Canada. If US implements similar pathway, the numbers will be different.

A house that costs $300000 in the US will cost $800000 in Canada if you compare the environment, access to health care and its associated cost, and low minimum wage compared to the standard of living. No one is here to discourage others but to help people keep an open mind about what to expect.
