Is that price per year or per month? Thanks |
i think its always been done its called "tenament rate" i believe. However, as with everything, enforcement will be sporadic at best. Corruption will thwart its effectiveness. I wouldnt worry about it. How will d valuation be done anyway? |
obamamate:U are right. Its actually a 1996. I am almost sure of that. This body style ended in 1997. But the back light on the 1997 is slightly different. The reverse light extends a little further in. |
If you can upload the pics of your car, i may be able to tell you. There are two possibilities here. If the nissan sentra doesnt work, the Infiniti (G20) might. The Infiniti G20 parts from the US, fits exactly on the Primera from Europe. I made a mistake few years ago and bought Nissan Sentra parts home to use on Primera, i was wrong. I bought brake pads as a matter of fact. The good thing is that Nissan parts dont vary drastically from continent to continent but you need to know what u are doing or which is which. Upload your car pics for a visual reference, and if its possible take off the tire and snap the pics of the absorber too. Good luck. |
Siena:Tru that on the V Boot reliability. But however, i believe the Benz started in 1880 or 1885 while Ford started in 1900's |
Clean Car. Whats the Mileage? |
Why dont you repost a better picture? Mileage and interior. I think ppl will be more interested. Just a thought. ![]() |
Busy_body:Never say Never! Enof said. u made ur point. Happy now? |
If salvage is recorded from the Dept of Motor Vehicles how wouldn't it not show up on the VIN report? Especially for California that has the highest number of registered vehicle in the U.S? Insurance company don't wanna lose a penny u know. Just get ur facts right. I live here!. Im a registered dealer!. What more do u want to know? |
Busy_body:How can it be random if its from CALIFORNIA DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLE WEBSITE? You still act ignorant even in the face of proof. Na wa o. |
Here's me laughing at u kid!!! ![]() Don't get it twisted! |
Speak What u know please ![]() |
Busy_body:There u go again talking 'bou what u dont know. As a California resident (17years running) and a Registered Used Car Dealer. Your information is very FALSE. Below is a link to California Dept of Motor Vehicle about registering Salvage cars. http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/brochures/howto/htvr13.htm I've bought cars in neighboring states of Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that any salvage title over there will transfer to California. The VIN record was created to protect consumers but most especially the insurance companies. They don't want to overpay (in claims) for a car that's been salvaged in another state. |
Busy_body:The last time i checked i haven't heard of people falling over themselves for "U.K Specs". Guys pay top $$$ for U.S Sh#t!. What do a U.K Benz looks like? Cloth interior, Manual gear, Manual Window, Sometimes no A/C, Lil bitty 2.0L engine Yikes i need a tissue to wipe my tears.Even people in the U.K are looking for U.S Spec cars all day long (At least the smart ones) Sure wasn't talking 'bou u. ![]() gestapo: Here's ur sign ![]() |
youngmill:I think the quote is good also. Its an excellent price, its on par with some quotes i've seen from companies in Japan. But i bet you, people who bring in cars from UK to sell will probably not want to spend that much cos it will eat into the profit. Hence the shortcut. Even people who bring in cars for personal use may be tempted to go for the cheap N150,000 conversion in Ladipo or Oshodi. If its done well by a pro like Siena, then its no problem. "No shaking" like the saying goes. The moral of the story is simple: If you gonna do it, then get it done right from a Pro. Otherwise its your A## on the line ![]() |
@ youngmill, This is not an issue of derailing the thread. The Pro, Siena has given a quote of 1,850 pound. Knowing Nigerian factor really well, very few dealers will chose to go down the route of getting it done properly. Even owners/end users might sometimes balk at the cost (as Mastro indicated). So the question is: Are you prepared to put ur life on the line in hope that its properly done? There's always an advantage anywhere you live. People in Europe have advantage to in electric appliances (you can buy things and take it home and just use it) We cant do much of that from here. We worry about step down etc. And sometimes it doesnt always work right. But we can ship cars and take it home and start driving the next day, our advantage. ![]() So if you can do it properly, does it worth the gamble.? And for those who say i stand to benefit if recommend US dealers, how about going to other European countries (Germany, France, Belgium) at least they are closer and get ur car there. Do it properly or else ![]() Shortcuts can sometimes be a bia## ![]() |
Waiting Anxiously my brother ![]() |
If you ask me. I say contact any US Based dealer (Jenju, Babeisme, et al ) and get ur car trouble free. ![]() |
Sorry if i come off wrong. But all the VIN in the world cant compete with pictures. Its nice to have VIN but pics are better. Dont mean to mess up ur thread. Once again, i apologize. |
jovi007: . In this day in age? |
What you call "empty promise" is called GOODWILL in the market. Lets assume that you are a merchant, You are probably likely to grant someone like Dangote a credit line than some regular person. Same as the US. The US is good for its promises and obligation. [color=#000099]US HAS NEVER FAILED NOR BACKED OUT OF FINANCIAL OBLIGATION! EVER! Not even during the World War. You need to get that. You can continue to predict gloom all day long. Make my day. "When U.S sneezes, others catches cold". Slowdown in the US resulted in the world slowdown, so somehow if you shoot a hole in my boat, funny thing is, we are in the same boat ![]() Nigeria govt and other govt that depend on oil are having a tough time in paying its people cos world consumption went down as a result of slowdown in the US. I hope you see the correlation. U.S.A forever!!! |
Busy_body:As a matter of fact yes. The US IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MKT to any Country. Period. The biggest money maker. There no country that doesnt have financial interest in the US. That cant be said the other way round |
Busy_body:Im not sure where your economics is coming from but ITS FLAWED to say the least. When the financial crisis hit the US, a lot of investors (Banks included) pulled their money. Major banks in Nigeria lost a lot of foreign investment they use for transactions. This caused the dry up in foreign currency to exchange hence it went up. Oil went down too. Not enough money from the govt to float FOREX Mkt. Less people sent money home cos of loss of jobs or partial loss of income. There is low volume of cars sold, no doubt, that doesnt mean you will get a $20,000 for $10,000. the manufacturer too are palying the waiting game for banks to start lending cos they dont wanna lose too. Keep ur dream alive, but it will take a while before the investors confidence comes back to allow money to flow back to Naija and perhaps oil prices comes back up. |
PAPABOMBOY:I dont undestand the name calling. The car still sell for over 1million in Naija easily. Why dont you try and read thru the thread. The only thing im hesitant about is that its right hand drive. Otherwise its ok. Just need to know shipping, clearing and converting price. Hope its worth it. |
Ndipe:You always wanna "ease" your way back into Naija. Let ur wife and kids go home first. Dont live wt relatives. Find a most city to live in. Have a strategy. A million will go a long way, not if you are just spending it tho. Keep ur eyes open. |
This can qualify as a "glamour shots" This doesnt closely resemble the everyday Los Angeles i know. Its probably taken early Sunday morning or Public holiday. I happen to attend school in Cal state Los Angeles and University of Los Angeles, California. Don't believe the hype. Save ur money! |
gentlegg:which is possible. But when ppl wants Factory A/C, Leather, Low Mileage etc Thants where it get dicey. Also if the seller has got the car sitting around for a while, just wanna get rid of it, sure may be. Like i've said, "Never say Never" |
