Fhemmmy: tomitomi:They say never say never. Stretching a car involves a lot of things especially the type of welding that will be reqd to put the car back together. It can just be any type of welding. The wiring (or sometimes fibre optics cable). More powerful A/C, brakes etc. Cos the car is bigger, heavier etc. The car will flex more cos its longer hence the uncompromised welding. And most important of all, it has to be able to withstand crash impact. Theres a lot more details and physics that will come into play before you just cut up any car and stretch them. Good luck. |
megastu:Welcome to his world. How can it be a mistake? The year is posted there on the car. The documents. All the owners manual (which was strategically covered in the pics). You will not be the first to say it and its not the first time. Old habits they say ![]() |

Mileage? Engine Pics? VIN? |
I was surfing around the net and came across this site posting prices on things in Nigeria. Checked the used car section and was a little baffled. I will like to think that im very familiar with prices in Naija but this threw my thinking into a tailspin. Pls check the link below and let me know what u think. http://naijatechguide..com/2008/12/used-tokunbo-cars-prices-in-nigeria.html |
EZE B:I hate to be a party crasher here. Let me spell it out to you. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!. At least if you are looking for a machine that runs. For a hunk of scrap, i think you money will be good. A D8 with a ripper? Hmmmmmmmm. If you get a good one for that price i will buy it from you for twice that amt. Getting home itself will be around $8k-$10k. So that will leave you with about $20k to actually buy and MOVE the machine. Good luck. Pls update us on ur search and whenever you get a one for that price, at least post the picture. |
A Honda is ALWAYS easier on your wallet. 24/7 |
erico2k2:Have u guys heard of hamattan? What of early in the morning? Leave him with his taste. Its his money. So many people want cars with NAVIGATION in Nigeria despite the fact that it doesn't work yet.( At least in about most of the country) Did you jump on them for that? I guess not. Why this guy? I beg now. Leave him alone. |
You are better oo using an official VIN check thread or actually letting that reflect on ur title so others can help u quickly. Others with access can check VIN for u. Good luck. |
Are you looking to buy it or what? Or you are just looking to use one as a subcontractor? Specification? Make? Model? Goss Community? etc. |
welayan:Are u for real? You want ppl to leave thier house without having in mind what they will come see? Mileage, Color? VIN. You must be dreaming. |
Fellow NairaLanders, I know this is Auto section but at least we can day-dream a little. Below is a picture of $26.2million seized from a drug raid in Mexico about a year ago. Feed ur eyes and dream. How many jeeps? Chieftaincy Titles? Girlfriends? Hmmmmmmm. You got me thinking. This im posting just on a lighter note. Enjoy. dont forget to post your dreams too. ![]()

^^^^ Good one. |
mega p:I beg to differ. The difference between the EX and EX-L it Leather. Hence the "L" thats after the EX. A point to note is that whether EX or EX-L Navigation is still "optional". which means that not all comes with Navigation system. Navigation doesnt work yet in Nigeria. Just for you to know. You can get EX (no leather) with or without Navigation or You can get EX-L (with Leather) with or without Navigation. Otherwise the car is pretty the same. Loaded. EX is the top of the line. Its more loaded than the LX (Entry Level). Good luck in your search. |
400k just to look at a Mini Cooper problem? Na wa o. I smell a rip off. Mini is a BMW product and originally from British. So i would advise you to find a VERY COMPETENT BMW or JAGUAR Technician to check it out. How about Cascharis? Dont know too much of them. Also i will advise to to fully explain the problem here in the forum. Siena, or other in house experts might know whats the issue. Good luck. |
@ Seller, Why are you advertising a GL450 as ML450. Theres a huge difference! Also, in my opinion: Show Interior pics Show engine pics Mileage info? NemekGee:Also, just my 2 cents. The email address is a little "childish". You are in the big league now. Get a more "mature" email. At least its free. ![]() |
bencash:There is no Toyota Hiace in Yankee. Doesnt exist here. Martins00:Is that shipped to Nigeria of shipping is additional? |
@ Martins 00, Thanks for your reply. Lagos. Straight. Any vehicle thats not made for the US will have a hard time passing thru the Dept of Transportation certification to be considered "Road Worthy" here in the US. Its the proverbial passing a Camel thru the eye of a needle thing. Very tough. Also what year are we talking about here? How many seater? Less i forget, there should be enough profit margin in the bus to sell in Lagos dont you think? After buying, shipment etc |
Martins00:Im here in the US we dont have the Hiace here. Im kinda interested too. How much can i be looking at for a good one in a good shape? Thanks. |
This doesnt look like a real Hiace. Looks more like a Chinese clone. Lets see the engine area pls. |
Does anyone have an idea how much is the grinder for a feed mill costs? Thanks |
Busy_body:Cant even remember why i have to apologize to Ziontrain. What did i say/do to him? |
wwheelz:Jenju in fact is a MALE. Real Man for that matter. From the various times i've spoken with him (Never Met him. I live in California. He is in the East Coast. Thats about 5Hr Flight). He is a real solid guy. He's not a small boy either. So no hanky panky little pikin stuff. So when i see people trying to tear him down for personal reasons, it kinda unsettling. and i repeat he has delivered on the deal he got paid for. Talk is cheap, when you dont pay/or deposit at least, how can deal be concluded? Or how can he follow thru on a deal to take a loss. I can't understand our people sometimes. Here i rest. |
gestapo:You cannot unring the bell. The genie is out of the kettle. Its on for Good!!!! At least you know where i stand. |
Busy_body:Word! I couldnt have said it better myself. Listen you , |
Like i said, you lack respect. I am cross sighted. I know that. Thanks for your observation. At least i know that you are not totally retarded. I am glad to let you know that im in the company of Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, Ooni of ife to mention a few. Show your face. U scared? U little punk. |
sunnyprof:For a 2004? that even less than $10,000 with the current exchange rate. Buy, ship, clear customs, profit etc. Na wah o. |
MICHAEL55:You sound way too american in your topic. you have to call it engine like its known in naija. also specify the year you are looking for the most. pictures might also help. Good luck. |

Cosjo:To clear any misconception, i am very passinate about cars. Especially older vehicles. Rather than wait for other dealers to help you buy at auctions or other "Dealers Only" sellers, i decided to get my license. Cos some dealer you arrainged with to meet you at auction might decide to cancel or just not show (despite you will be paying) and you cant get the car you absolutely love. So i got myself. Will i do business to Nigeria? Of course i will not rule it out but all kinks must be worked out cos its a substantial investment. I will only engage in late model cars if i decide to do. No cotonou cars. And will have to be absolutely sure of the ppl at the other end to handle things properly. As for what other do, i dont know. You might wanna ask them. |
