Jeep Cherokees are stupid. Guzzles a lot of gas and mountain of electrical problems. Mits Montero is just a tad better than cherokees . 2 much gas.

Read my lips. Stop listening to those who are barely smart enough to tie their shoes in the morning. grin

Theres no subtitute for the best. Go for the king. 4-Runner.

@ sultan,

im very much familiar with the nigerian auto jargons. especially hondas. Case in point, "the Bullet", is the name for the european version while the "Bulldog" is the American Version . This is the 1994-1995 Hoda Accord Model.
So you need to take a notepad. Class started 2 weeks ago. Sit down let me teach u something u dont know. And yes, pls check urself before you ,

"Padded" I think mean "DELUXE" As in with all the Accessory (A/C, Powersteering etc). In the states its called "fully -Loaded". Europe uses "Deluxe"

Car TalkRe: The Best Jeep For Nigerian Roads? by promise72(m): 3:17am On Jul 06, 2007
@ Deji99,

Do not touch jeep grand cherokee with a 10 foot pole! sorry to burst your burble inspired_M. costly maintenance, too much petrol. Poor quality. They are nice for a while. Fast. but you will cry down the line. Get a Toyota 4Runner. Especially 96/up. You never go wrong. Pathfinder is nice too. Then lastly you can consider Montero/Pajero.

You heard!

@ Rlst84sale,

No offence. I suggest you post replies when u are sober. You must be high right about now to post that kind of reply. Who told you so. What happened to chevy? Dodge?. Ford trucks are the best selling simply cos of govt fleet. That has more to do with politics than anything else.

As yourself, why are fords resale value so bad? You go pay $20k for a new for now and see how much u will be offered in 2 years.

Heres a link for your enjoyment/disappointment.

was born in Ijebu ode. but attended poly ibadan. Ibadan is it when i come home. Period. Plan to shuttle my time btw ibadan and ijebu ode. Lagos can go in smoke for all its traffic and hard knock life.

Slow pace of ibadan and lower cost of living has done it for me.
AutosRe: Used Cars Wanted by promise72(m): 1:29am On Jun 17, 2007
@ gilgee.

Sorry to hear about your Honda. You failed to mention if the car is already in Nigeria or still in the states (i presume its a US car). Anyway Honda had some "minor problems" with some Accord (including some 2003 models) Read the article in the links below.

http://world.honda.com/news/2004/c040630.html

Anyway, if your car is still in the states, you might be able to effect your recall from the dealer but i don't know if you can do that once the car is already shipped out. Since the car is sold to US market, you might be assed out.

How much the honda place is trying to charge in Nigeria? Any luck locating any used ones? Prices? Let me know how far you've gone in getting your problems solved. I live in California, hence shipping from down here can be $$$$

So get back to a brother.

@ Realpoint
You will need to talk directly to Democrat on the CRV. im not presently into shipping cars. i hope to start soon. Dealing with the "Nigeria factor" is a diff animal entirely. Democrat is the king on the issue. He's been doing it longer and better than i have or can at the moment.

@ Superman
Volvos are very good vehicles. However just let the person know beforehand that its not a honda or camry i.e parts are a bit more expensive. Its a big boys ride. So you like what u like but just know goin in what u are stepping up to.
Mechanics are pretty abundant and parts shouldnt be too hard to find.

I don't know of any bad news on those models as of now. However if i find any, i will post it within 2 days.

If u don't see anything directed to u in 2 days about the volvo that means i didnt find anything. i will research for u though. Good luck
