I will want everybody to remember that whatever your answer is, you need to take it in context of when it happened. If this happens while you ae a kid, CHANCES are you will not tell cos you are a bit vulnerable and somewhat trusting regardless of what you see your parents doin.

I have been extremely lucky in my life that i was never faced with this issue. My parents were together for about 45years and i can tell you that NOTHIN or if any of them did i didnt see any funny business goin on. Thank God.

If you find out while u were an adult, u probably will confront ur dad about it, cos you dont have to worry about the chances of being put out or get ur ass kicked etc etc. And you always remember wife/husband issue are delicate. The woman might suspect the hus but her attitude might be "As long as u come back to me, i dont wanna know what u doin"

Reporting will not leave things the same for sure. Your dad might be waiting around the corner to bitchslap you for being a snitch.

If you feel u are closer to the offending party, chance are you will be hush hush about the issue. So its a lot of factors that will come into place before you say ill tell or not. Its not a simple answer. im glad i never have to make that choice.

My dad is long gone now and i know i can always trust both of them even in 5 lifetimes.

My sob story: My wife came on my behalf (living somewhere else now) to the US in November only for me to find out that she was 8 months pregnant, and the baby is not mine  . Last time i was in Naija was Spring 2005. She had a baby in January 2007.

One thing that have always baffled me is that i have been having a lot of my friends telling me to go home again and bring another wife. It supposed to be "better option". Just inching my way back into the dating procreation  scene. Why was i getting this type of advise? What happened to our ladies here? (overseas i mean)

Funny thing is that i was getting same type of suggestion/advise even from friends in the UK. Can someone shed a light on this or may be i am missing a point.

Unfortunately, mercedes is not what it use to be in terms of quality especially from late 90's to about 2005. They are having a lot of problem with quality. On top of the models wt quality issue is the ml320. a lot of benz fans were really disappointed with the car. u drive 4 1month the car is in the shop for 2weeks. terrible. terrible.

I suggest you go to msn.com under "auto" research the model/year u want to buy and read other peoples experinces and opinion on the car. Do the same with pathfinder and let me know your result.

MBZ was SUPPOSED to be better than nissan but the reality is reverse. mercedes has only been chugging along from reputation from old prestige but they are turning around now again.

for my $$ i will stay away from benzes from 1996-2005 especially the entry level of the models ie ml320, c220/280 etc. people reported more problem than usual for those cars even on some s420. since u will be shipping it outside the country, your warranty may not hold.

please get back to me on your findings.

Please get a Nissan Pathfinder. Apart from the parts, ML320 are Notorious for being unreliable. Please dont let ur dad disown u. Go for the Nissan. Prestigious as Benz? NO. More waaaayyyyy more reliable. And thats what matters.

you are in deep trouble Jokes aside, i will say try and see if you can go talk to her parents thru her/their pastor. You dont have to abandon your religion but if u are not a hardcore muslim go to church with her.

Its easier to go to church and be "one of them" than go to mosque. i wouldnt even know where to begin how 2 pray like a muslim. Theres nothing that says you can compromise for your girl especially if u say you guys are very compatible. Very hard to find people like that u know.Give it a try. its worth it.

Theres nothing wrong in "blowing trumpet" It is really directing a focus to a cause. There is no way one person can afford a cause no matter how rich the person is. Big man, Big problems. These athletes have a lot of expenses u know. Entourage, Lawyers, Agents, Chefs etc.

Lets say someone who has a 20million/year contract. Right off the bat, he pays about 8million for tax, 10% for agent (2million). Lawyers' retainer fees. because if something happen whether guilty or not he will need a lawyer. Hes not going to be looking in yellow pages when he gets in trouble. Lawyers on stanby work/not. Trouble/not.

Then the cars, the houses, insurance, personal upkeep, extended family/hangerons. If your brother makes 20million/year if you run to him for assistance u don't expect him to give you $500 right? u expect him to pay 4 your school, get u a ride, probably rent u a nice pad if not buy etc etc. There are others like that.

They also have to save/invest their money. They will not invest chicken change. You wouldnt expect that kind of guy to be doing like $30k investment. More ofthen than not they will borrow like $3million to invest big usually borrow against next year earnings etc

That is why u hear say Tyson owes like $20 million etc because Banks will practically open their vault for people like that. And there is a certain lifestyle you expect from them not necessarily because they love it but its expected.

You will not see a person making $20million driving a Civic eating at McDonalds. Not because theres anything wrong with it but people will lookat them funny.
So they go ot upscale resturant wt private room and all the bodyguard/entourage etc all go chop Or is he just going to eat while everyone else look?

So before u start talking about what they are SUPPOSSED to do, you have to understand their angle. Or May be u can't.

And the last thing is that Nigeria's mindset is warped. You go to Ghana and see how everything is working right. In Nigeria evryone thinks they are bigger than the law hence, don't follow it and before u know it, lts total Chaos.

My 2 cents is this. I don't care who u are. please always listen to your parents. Let me say it again please listen to your parents. If you want to marry somebody, for a lady, take the guy around other guys with no vested interest and let them do the evaluation because they might see things that u will miss. Also if u are a guy take the girl around your mom and other female family members and let them interact and see whats their feeling. Women has an uncanny ability to "sniff" out other women and know right away if something aint right.

I have a similar experience and is very recent. im very glad i listen to my Mom. The older u get, the wiser your parents become. u can say today that its your life/business but how would u feel if u get sick tomorrow and none of your family members show up?

Yuo still need family. Find out y your suitor was rejected and try to work on your parents on that. if your suitor has a bad xter then theres no compromise just run. However if its solely on the basis of tribe. Try to let them see that hes a good person and you love the person.

More often than not parent react to their experience or hearsay about a tribe without a direct knowledge of anyone from that tribe. if theres a successful couple in your area who are from different tribe, try to point to those as an example.

Then for a closer, ask them if Mr/Ms A is from our tribe and will mistreat me, but Mr/Ms B is from the other tribe and will respecr/love me will you still marry me off to A?

y dont u try oceanfreight from the US to Nigeria. Especially if you are coming from the East Coast. it mighr take about 14-20days to be in Lagos but it will be cheaper. Dont let shiiping cost wipe out ur profit.

Havnt driven a v8 before(540i) All i can tell u is that v8 is much faster but consumes more fuel. hence more maintenance cost ( 8 plugs vs 6 plugs). If you woulnt be going competitive racing. v6 should do u

Let this be a lesson to all you fast boys out there. I believe in life that the decision that affect you most in life is not taken by you. As sad as i felt reading the last post, it will be wrong in part of Singapore to pick and chose who the'll execute or commute.
