SUPERPACK: This is what makes lion the king, endurance. Others would have run away from the challenge, but he chose to die in honour than back off. This is what the life of male lion is all about, fighting against fellow male dominant lions to protect their territory. Respect. What makes lions what? This is just a very stupid lion. The two lions that killed it, did they not first run away and allowed it to capture their territory before coming back on a future date to reclaim what was theirs? Moral of the story is he who fights and runs away ... |

navyseal2220: Stop blaming these deaths on drug expiration. This has nothing to do with drug expiration. Most drugs are still safe and effective even after 5 or 10yrs shelf life, it may not be as potent but still safe. Now what's killing these people is counterfeit drugs, people manufacturing poisons and selling them. Safe after 5-10 years? Where did you get that oga? |

You are the one running from the real issue. You are still mentioning western world? Do you not get what I am saying? I did not say it in Greek. In the western world, loans are never given at that interest rate, it is a crime. Only recognized financial institutions are allowed to issue such loans and to be given such permission, it must not be at ridiculous rates. It is an exploitation of the poor in society. They enact laws that protect their vulnerable citizens, that is one of the reasons why you people don't mind selling your kidneys to go to their heaven. You can make your country a heaven too by not allowing Chinese to oppress your citizens in their country. |

Nato008: I don't get did the force u to borrow or did u not see terms and conditions, why u see them react like this is because we are wicked callous and evil people....why will someone borrow money and now begin to be begged to pay it back...? The reason why western countries appeal to you and your country men so much that you are willing to sell your kidney to go there is because they are organized. There are rules regarding interest rates and certain kinds of loans are not even allowed. For a poor country like Nigeria, every sane person knows hardship can push people into accepting loans with ridiculous interest rates. Most of these companies are Chinese companies and I have heard stories of people that paid the loans and kept receiving calls from the loan companies. How can you people even find the voice to defend this exploitation of your country's poor by these people. It confounds me how some of you guys feel comfortable welcoming and hailing the wickedness that is making you to run away from your country in droves. |

oyatz: You agains corroborated my observations.
Why do our graduates need to run abroad to be celebrated?
Why is it that graduates from our universities don't discover and formulate medications that can treat malaria and schistosomiasis which are our local health problems?
Why are our Engineers unable to produce communications gadgets or handles heavy construction works?
Universities in the USA, UK and Western European countries are set up to solve problems in their environments but Universities in Nigeria evolved as mirror images of these foreign institutions without conscious efforts to make them produce solutions to problems of Nigeria.
We need to overhaul and redesign our educational institutions to meet our peculiarities. What did I corroborate? Graduates from other countries don't build metrolines, reputable companies do! There is no country anywhere in the world where graduates jump out of school and start building metrolines! However, there in a rich culture of knowledge transfer and capacity building which many of your graduates who "run" to those countries gain from. Some African countries don't tolerate Chinese and other foreign companies coming to carry out construction projects without using their country men. And foreign companies invest a fortune in building the capacity of their employees as opposed to the miserly attitude of hiring graduates without any training and expecting them to perform miracles because they are graduates which is common place here. Maybe we should take a queue from there. Don't make the habit of bashing anything Nigerian your favorite past time. |
Travel › Re: Wike Tours Abuja Metroline, Says Project Will Be Ready For Use In May (PHOTOS) by PROPEACE: 9:56pm On Apr 05, 2024 |
oyatz: The educational institutions in Nigeria were NOT designed to solve problems of Nigeria but as 'photocopies of foreign bodies', thus graduates from Nigerian Universities often need to seek validations from UK, USA, Canada, Germany before being considered truly educated. What you should be talking about is that a local content clause be added to the contract between Nigeria and the companies doing the jobs so that knowledge transfer can happen hence producing a generation of Nigerian engineers that can carry out similar jobs in the future and also maintain these ones. Don't be the ones badmouthing your graduates who end up running abroad and getting celebrated. |

Individuals committed that infraction so they should be held liable as well. They are not ghosts.

You clearly don’t know the difference, that is why I did not read past the first 2 lines of your above comment. Waste of time Oga You don't have the right to enquire about someone's career choice! If you want to remain in Nigeria to continue creating jobs, fine, you can go on and create all the 20 million jobs APC wants to create all by yourself. And lest I forget, go and learn the difference between "inquire" and "enquire". |

TheGift: Where in my comment did I imply that anyone should be compelled to live by my timetable?
I simply asked a question? Why would anyone be planing to do menial jobs in their 50s when they have spent their most productive years? Would you hire a 50 year old to do menial jobs for you when there is a younger more energetic person, that will save you time and money?
Anyway , to each his own. Enjoy your menial job. If you question someone's choice to do menial jobs in their 50s, then you are implying they should comply with your mental image of an ideal career path which does not exist in real life. People that do menial jobs work for humans who appreciate and pay for it. Many of the people doing it are okay with who they are as it pays their bill. For many, it is not a final bus stop but something they are doing pending when something better comes up. I know a white lady with MSc who told me just a couple of months ago that once she is done paying her mortgage, she will retire and start taking care of people's pet and other jobs like that. She is under 40! There is nothing wrong with doing menial jobs if it is what a person wants to do. Of you find it debasing for you that's fine! Live your life and let others live theirs! |

It's completely nonsense jor. Most people want to make money over there and come back here. Everyone over 40 years have specific reasons for going abroad. It could be children's education, better quality of life, safety... ...or even money! A 40 year old is NOT OLD! They probably struggled for so long here, believing in Nigeria and have given up on the country, no one should tie them down in a location that is clearly not working for them just because they are 40. They are 40 not 100! She needs to do her research well

Many people japa ing are driven by fear and not by purpose. And if you lack purpose and expression of your innate talent, then your life will be a life of mediocrity regardless of where you live. Regarding the bolded, what gives you the right to compel others to live by your life's timetable? Some will do the menial jobs at 50 and live successful lives later on in life, some will be extremely rich in their 50s in Nigeria, but will spend about everything the have paying ransome to kidnappers and finally die of heart attack.
