Politics / Honouring Abiola Will Not Guarantee Your 2019 Ticket - PDP Tells PMB. by Purplebirdrep: 2:03pm On Jun 07, 2018
Honouring Abiola will not guarantee your 2019 ticket - PDP tells PMB.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Wednesday, in Abuja, said the national honour proposed to be conferred on the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993, Chief MKO Abiola, by President Muhammadu Buhari, are smacks of hypocrisy and political desperation ahead of 2019 presidential election.

The party said that President Buhari’s action merely sought to use the name and person of Abiola to gain a political capital and not out of genuine reverence and recognition for him.

In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the party recalled that President Buhari, who was serving in the military administration of General Sani Abacha during the travails of Abiola, did not associate either by words or actions with the late winner of June 12 election.

He further stated that history did not record President Buhari as sympathetic to the Abiola’s family when his wife, Kudirat, was gruesomely murdered by the agents of a government which President Buhari served.

His words, "It is, therefore, a sign of political desperation for President Buhari to seek to use Chief Abiola’s name as a tool to sway Nigerians in less than twelve months to an election where he, (President Buhari) is seeking a second term.

"It is also shocking that the respectable grave of Abiola can be dishonoured by granting a posthumous award on him along with someone who denounced the June 12 mandate and preferred the company of his (Abiola’s) traducers".

#Still on Ekiti State .....

We must expose and isolate the POLITICAL PARTY that is clearly against the progress and development of our dear Ekiti State.

The POLITICAL PARTY under which IKUN DAIRY CATTLE were distributed to their friends for Suya will never be forgotten.

The POLITICAL PARTY under which a flourishing University of Technology, Ifaki Ekiti , USTI was scraped and the Ifaki son who established the University made to hail the scrapping of the University must be remembered.

Those who spent billions of naira to plant flowers in Ado Ekiti, which has refused to grow in 7yrs are also to be noted.

The Political Party that destroyed OODUA TEXTILES, Ado Ekiti and turned it to LOCK UP SHOPS must explain to Ekiti people why it destroyed our heritage.

We must question the POLITICAL PARTY under which over N2bn was earmarked for OJA OBA, Ado Ekiti in the N25bn Bond but none was built

Etc etc......

There should be no hiding place for the enemies of progress and development of our dear Ekiti State.

Olusola's endorsement, a landmark decision -Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has described the endorsement by stakeholders in Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party of the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola as a landmark decision which will be of immense benefit to the state in the immediate future.

The governor made the remark at a training session organised for members of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Government House Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday.

Governor Fayose who said the stakeholders' decision was in line with God's leading urged party members to remain united adding that Prof. Olusola will soon begin a wide consultation with party members and Ekiti people in general so as to earn their confidence.

"I took the decision in line with God's leading, Prof. Kolapo will be the next governor of Ekiti State, if this is the decision of God, it shall stand! The battle has just begun but we have to take a decision. There is a battle ahead but we'll be victorious.

"I have people that are closer to me than Kolapo but that is God's direction and to other aspirants, this is not the end of the world, in unity, we'll have a better Ekiti", Mr. Fayose said.

BREAKING | Makarfi Sacks Segun Adewale As PDP Lagos Chairman

The embattled Lagos State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Mr. Segun Adewale along side other illegally imposed Chairmen of PDP believed to be loyal to the recently sacked National Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff has been axed by the authentic leader of the party, Senator Makarfi.

The announcement came at the expanded caucus meeting of PDP leaders in Abuja on Monday Night, WAILERSNG gathered.

The statement reads:

The illegal caretaker committee, imposed or self appointed chairmen constituted in some state like Jigawa, Lagos, Benue and others are here dissolved and elected executives that won in states congress organised are officially approved to take over with immediate effect. -Sen. Ahmed Makarfi at the Ongoing National Caucus Meeting.

What this means is that Mr. Salvador will automatically take over leadership of PDP in Lagos, although Senator Makarfi did not say if PDP candidates vying for elective posts in the forthcoming Local Council election in Lagos will still participate or not.
Politics / Comparing Jonathan And Buhari. by Purplebirdrep: 12:32pm On Jul 11, 2017
Comparing Jonathan and Buhari is not adding to the conversation in any angle. How can you compare humanity and Barbarism; Modern and archaic; Intellectual and dummy; progressive and retrogressive; Democrat and Dictator; life and death; nationalist and tribalist; abundant and austerity; veracity and mendacity; virtue and vice? I could go on, only that the few instances are enough for anyone that cares.

Meanwhile, the same Jonathan couldn't remedy the cancer and virus that have held Nigerian down because of the system, structure and his personal trait. But the posterity will smile on him in the area of his strength and will still remember his weakness.

I don't care about your fake picture of the lion king, he is a walking curse and his curse will soon affect people that are promoting and sustaining him.

What have we in curse?
We have no inheritance in lovers of curse!

#Governor Fayose Warned...

I am not among those of you who saying that Buhari's handlers are incompetent for releasing that poorly done AUDIO to Nigerians, claiming it was President Buhari's Ramadan message in HAUSA LANGUAGE.

Rather, I blame those Nigerians who refused to use their brains when Governor Fayose was warning them.

I was with Governor Fayose on Monday, February 23, 2015 in Abuja, where the LIE Garba Shehu told Nigerians that Buhari had an interview with Kemi Fadojutimi on 'All Eyes on Africa' TV show in London was exposed.

The interview was actually conducted in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja and not in London like his media aides claimed in the pictures they sent to the press.

THE GUARDIAN newspaper was honest and professional enough to apologise for publishing the misleading pictures sent by Buhari's Media aides.

But instead of taking to Gov Fayose's warning, many of you abused him. Some even said the governor was behaving like a busy body.

Since Buhari assumed office, they have used several poorly done Photoshop Pictures to deceive Nigerians and many of you never used your brains even when your attention was called to their lies.

Now, they have graduated to faking Buhari's voice to deceive you and I am sure many of you will still not use your brains.

Very soon, they will do a FAKE Muhammadu Buhari and present him to you as your president and you will still believe them.

We warned!

5 Nigerian Politicians Who May 'Block' Dino Melaye's Recall

Outspoken, controversial Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye is in the process of being ejected from the parliament. His constituents have already submitted petitions of recall to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). They want Melaye out because of his continuous embarrassment and poor representation. Nigeria's electoral body, INEC, too, yesterday wrote to Melaye informing him of his constituents' decision to throw him out of the Red Chambers. However, controversial Melaye has laughed off his constituents' recall process, saying everyone of them would be jailed for initiating such process. He also accused Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello of sponsoring them.

But, as Nigerians wait to see how well Melaye's recall process play out, there are some politicians who may influence that Melaye's recall does not turn out as expected. In other words, block the whole process. These are people believed to be Melaye's political allies. They include:

1. Senator Bukola Saraki: Saraki is the president of Nigeria's 8th Senate, and Melaye's god-father. His parley with Melaye has been before his election as the Senate President. Melaye's one of those who fiercely stands against Saraki's opposition. In 2016 declared that Saraki, despite the allegations of corruption hanging on him, must remain in office for four years. Melaye's pledged loyalty to Saraki is undivided. He once said that if the whole country turns its back at Saraki, he will remain his only supporter. Recently, at the acquittal of Bukola Saraki of false assets charges at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Melaye lifted Saraki in the tribunal, showing that no man can pull him down. At this Melaye's trying times, Saraki may come to the rescue of his 'god-son'.

2. Senator Ike Ekweremadu: Ike Ekweremadu is Nigeria's Deputy Senate President. Though a PDP lawmaker, he pitches tent with the like s of Dino Melaye, Saraki, who are the strong-men in the house – pushing various agenda. He may also influence Melaye's recall process.

3. Abubakar Atiku: Nigeria's former president, Abubakar Atiku may also weigh in in Melaye's recall process. Saraki is believed to be at par with Atiku, and may because of that resue his 'godson'. Atiku, also one of the key politicians eyeing the presidential seat in 2019 may do everything in power to 'rescue' a strong-man like Melaye – who may in turn help his presidential ambition.

4. Ibrahim Babaginda: Recently, in March, Senator Bukola Saraki and Melaye visited fomer military ruler, Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda at his Minna residence. Sources privy to the meeting said that the meeting may be connected with Saraki’s strategies for 2019 elections. Melaye, a stooge of Saraki sat on the floor, posing for photograph between saraki and IBB. In some ways, Babaginda may see to Melaye's not being removed by his constituents.

5. APC Caucus In Senate: Melaye, though not liked by some of his party-men, still has supporter-senators in the senate. They may join heads together to see that he remains with them.

Politics / Fayose Floors EFCC Again At Appeal Court by Purplebirdrep: 4:55pm On Jun 20, 2017
Fayose floors EFCC again as Appeal Court says anti-graft agency can’t freeze his bank accounts

The Appeal Court sitting in Ado Ekiti today, dismissed the application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for injunction restraining the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose from operating his accounts in Zenith Bank Plc, describing the application as lacking in merit.

The Appeal Court said that; "EFCC did not come with clean hands on the application for injunction it filed because it suppressed material facts, for example that a similar application the EFCC filed was earlier refused by Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti," agreeing with Governor Fayose’s Counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) that the entire application filed by the EFCC counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo was entirely unmeritorious.

On December 13, 2016, Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti had ordered the EFCC to immediately unfreeze the accounts of Governor Fayose, saying the action of the EFCC was against due process and that the anti-graft agency did not follow the laid down regulations in freezing the governor’s accounts.

EFCC had appealed the judgment of the Federal High Court and sought an injunction, restraining the governor from operating the accounts pending the determination of the appeal.

Dismissing the appeal today, the Appeal Court, in a unanimous ruling delivered by Justice Fatima Omoro Akinbami said that the EFCC did not attach notice of appeal and the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti judgment of December 13, 2016, which ordered the anti-graft agency to unfreeze the governor’s account that the EFCC appealed against.

The court also said that the alleged damning intelligent report by the EFCC, which it claimed to have received concerning money purportedly paid into Governor Fayose’s account by Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was not provided nor attached for the court to see.

The appeal court agreed with Governor Fayose’s counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) that “Fayose, being a sitting governor covered with immunity under Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution as admitted by EFCC counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo, has been shown to have been tried nor found guilty by any court of law such as to tagged his bank accounts as proceeds of crime.”

The court described EFCC’s claim on the receipt of an intelligent report concerning money purportedly paid into Governor Fayose’s account by Senator Musiliu Obanikoro as mere speculation, saying; “the court does not embark on speculation.”

The appeal court also held that since the EFCC had admitted that N80 million had already been withdrawn from the accounts, saying that Chief Ozekhome was right to say that the cat had already been completed and an injunction cannot be granted for act already completed.

Describing the judgment as another victory over tyranny, Chief Ozekhome hailed the judiciary for standing firm in protecting rule of law in the country.

He said EFCC must learn to act within the laws of the country and stop hiding under anti-corruption fight to commit illegalities.

In war, you plan your own strategy while your enemies plan theirs.

No man wins a war by condemning the strategy of his opponent, it is the man who minds his own strategy that can win.

Osoko is talking about getting the court to enable him spend his unspent term and also contest the Presidency, they are making that an issue instead of planning their own strategy.

The reason they always fail against Osoko is because they concern themselves with his strategy while failing to plan theirs.

Politics / The Rise Of Truth ~ Shaka Momodu. by Purplebirdrep: 6:08pm On Jun 16, 2017
The Rise of Truth ~ Shaka Momodu.

Fellow Nigerians, where do I start from? How do I even begin to quilt together the unfolding events and drama in this APC-led government for posterity? Things are happening at such dizzying speed that I can hardly keep pace. The fierce battle between the truth and falsehood appears to be coming to a decided end. For a while, the massive web of lies and half-truths seemed to prevail but as it’s usually the case, anything built on a lie never really lasts long.

As it now appears all too obvious to some of the ardent supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari, the final chapter of lies is about to be written about a government whose tenure began on a magical note but is ending in tragedy: poverty, inflation and unemployment levels have all reached all-time highs. Poverty and disease have become a never-ending cycle.

I am amused to say the least, at how events have turned full circle in such a short span of time; Nigerians are witnessing grim echoes of the 1980s with 21st century lenses. Though a few pretenders are still holding out on lies, while others are living in the delusional spasm of hope that this directionless government will get its acts together, it is striking that the support base of the president has been eroded so badly in less than two years in office that you would think he has done a decade steering the ship of state.

Despite the fact that they continue to peddle alternative facts that are as useless as Monopoly money, the truth remains the government cannot give what it doesn’t have. Some of us saw through the elaborate charade called “change” by mindless scammers masquerading as reformers, and warned Nigerians to look beneath the veil that carefully masked the danger to the Nigerian project that Buhari represents, but many wouldn’t listen.

From the very first intervention I made to challenge the attempt to wish away Buhari’s unsuitability for president, titled, ‘Buhari: When Facts Become Contrived’ published December 20, 2014 till date, I have maintained my position that Buhari is part of Nigeria’s problems and that what the country needed was a complete break from people like him to usher in a new beginning for Project Nigeria to move forward.

Anyone reading various analyses of Nigeria’s situation in the foreign media in the last couple of weeks would be amazed at how fast the honeymoon the foreign media had with Buhari has come full circle. Remember he rode to power on the back of powerful endorsements and support from great institutions like The Economist, Financial Times (FT), etc. Well, they have all now turned against him.

Here is an excerpt from a recent article in FT titled, Nigeria’s President is Missing in Action: “There is an irony that Mr Buhari, a retired major-general, is missing in action. He ran the country as a military ruler in the mid-1980s after seizing power in a coup. In civilian guise, his leadership style has verged on the invisible. After winning power in 2015 on the fourth attempt at the ballot box, he set out at a pace that has marked his presidency: it took him six months to name a cabinet. Hopes that he had surrounded himself with a lean team of capable technocrats empowered to get policy cranking have come to naught. Policy making — such that it is — has been crafted instead by a tiny cabal of loyal, less qualified, stalwarts. Mr Buhari has failed to articulate anything approaching a vision.”

When Buhari was still in London, The Economist on its part wrote an editorial titled, ‘Who’s running Nigeria?’ Here are excerpts: “It is the troubled economy, though, that looms largest now in Africa’s most populous country. Mr Buhari was inaugurated soon after the collapse of global oil prices. But instead of accepting reality (exports and government revenues are dominated by the black stuff), he reverted to policies he implemented when last in power in the 1980s, namely propping up the currency. This has led to shortages of foreign exchange, squeezing imports. ….. If Mr Buhari remains in London much longer, his absence could provide a window for Nigeria’s technocratic vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo to push through a proper devaluation. Mr Osinbajo, currently in charge, has proved an energetic antidote to his ponderous boss, visiting the Delta for peace talks and announcing measures intended to boost Nigeria’s position in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business rankings, in which it currently ranks a lowly 169 out of 190.”

Suddenly, Buhari’s absence provided a window for proper policy implementation? In other words, the foreign media was now acknowledging that Buhari is part of the problem of the Nigerian economy? When you juxtapose all that with the hyperbolic accolades showered on him in endorsements and the magical powers ascribed to him in the run-up to the 2015 presidential election, then you would realise how much this government’s support base has been eroded.

I am however unimpressed with these great institutions for choosing to substitute historical facts and actualities with alternative facts packaged by brand experts – just to “sell” a candidate in the run-up to the elections.

Similarly, many supporters who saw Buhari as a messiah whom the gods had said would come, are now saying he should have stayed back in London for the remainder of his term so that the country can make progress. They point to the sudden drop in tension across the country during his absence, the inclusive approach of the then acting president as evidence that Buhari’s governance model was largely the problem. His infamous 97 per cent and 5 per cent division of the country, his attitude of “us” versus “them”, using the apparatus of state in his war of attrition against perceived opponents and his flawed sense of equity and justice – that of one nation, two moralities – exemplified by his exculpation of the SGF Babachir Lawal – have helped fuel needless divisions all over the country and created unnecessary tensions in the land.

Recently, I have been having a good laugh at the supporters of Buhari’s change; people who invested time, money and energy. Surprisingly, a few are still clinging on to a tiny strand of hope that things would change for the better under him. The fervour of their support was so powerful that they were ready to burn down the country and lynch anyone who cautioned their optimism about their most improbable candidate of “change”.

It is also tempting to laugh at the many intellectuals who staked their prodigious reputations earned in a lifetime to endorse and bring back to power, one of the least qualified persons to rule modern Nigeria, 30 years after he was first kicked out of office. I mean a constellation of men of timber and calibre, with a rich repository of history, renowned worldwide for their intellectual abilities. How could they not have seen the red flags that were so visible? Perhaps, they saw them but chose to be willfully blinded.

Sentimental considerations and fake news, amplified by a conniving media, rather than the rigour of interrogation and objective appraisal of the evidence – suddenly became the gospel truth. They are complicit in Nigeria’s Hobbesian situation today where life is brutish, nasty and short. A once thriving country has been reduced to a tragic wasteland for businesses and the security of lives and properties is now a tall preposition.

As regards Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, one cannot help but laugh like a drain at him. The Jagaban is the architect and godfather of Buhari’s change; we hear he is tired of being a kingmaker or more appropriately, he is tired of being left out in the cold and now wants to be the king. He was reported to be preparing to contest to become the president of Nigeria less than two years after foisting the present disaster on the country. He has denied the report quite alright, but there is no smoke without fire. Mark my word, Tinubu will contest. It is usually the ways of politicians, to first deny their plans, and then come out later to say they were pressured by friends and political constituents to make the pitch.

But what could be so forcefully definitive that Tinubu knows that we don’t know as to even give the hint he could run when some ridiculous clowns and regime apologists like Rochas Okorocha and the grass-cutting Babachir Lawal are already campaigning for Buhari in 2019?

This same man who hypnotised Nigerians with sweet nothings and led them to commit collective suicide in the name of change is at his cunning best once again. It is a shame that he wants to now turn round to ask for our votes to become the president. What lies would he campaign on this time? His experiment has landed Nigeria in recession and massive economic “compression”, first in 25 years. It would be interesting to hear him campaign. Wait a moment – will he continue to blame the last administration in his soon-to-be-launched presidential campaign for the country’s misery, or will he have the nerve to blame Buhari for making a bad situation worse several times more like Charles Soludo has pointed out? Time will tell.

First, in March 2016, Tinubu, the Jagaban Borgu of Borgu, the aggrieved self-acclaimed National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wrote a long and strongly-worded epistle, tearing into Dr Ibe Kachukwu, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and then Group Managing Director of the NNPC for saying he was not a magician who could end fuel scarcity overnight. Tinubu latched on that innocuous statement to launch an all-out assault on the minister who was just a convenient punching bag for Jagaban to vent his frustrations. Of course only the undiscerning would not have known that Tinubu’s missiles were intended for the big, taciturn and aloof masquerade. Poor Kachukwu! He had to lick his wounds in silence.

Despite his best efforts to rebuild his political reach, Tinubu was outsmarted in Ondo. Sensing that the leadership of the party was not ready to yield to his demand for a repeat of the primary, he sent an explosive love letter to his party chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, accusing him of egregious crimes such as corruption – that he insisted the party chair must resign his position. He was peeved about the outcome of the Ondo State governorship primary which his preferred candidate lost. Tinubu’s call was not so much about what Oyegun did or did not do but perhaps much more about a sense of entitlement of what he is getting or not getting in the party he helped to midwife. That sense of personal loss and the pain of his loss of influence to direct or dictate the direction of governance were at the root Tinubu’s angst.

Again, some of us saw through his attempt to distance himself from this failing government when speaking recently at the National Defence College in Abuja with the theme, ‘Strategic Leadership: My Political Experience.’ Tinubu took a swipe at the president’s monetary policy, arguing that as a strategic partner in the formation of the government, it is incumbent on the leaders to “speak truth to power”. Speak truth to power? Interesting! What do I see here? Well, I see a man creating an alibi when tomorrow comes.

Not done, he warned that a lack of true fiscal federalism poses great danger to the country, adding that “unjust allocation of resources makes a fertile ground for extremism”.

It should be remembered that this was a major campaign plank by the APC only to jettison it after winning power. Is it going to form a campaign plank for Jagaban when he finally makes a pitch for the office of the president? Hmm, the political situation is very fluid. However, there is a saying in the land of my fathers: “A man who treads the shadows of his ancestors, learns to walk like them.”

Stay tuned.

#CCT Powers: That you may know...

The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), not being listed under Section 6 (5) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) as a Court, has no power or jurisdiction, derived from the Constitution, to try, convict and impose punishment on persons for a criminal offence.

#Fact is:
The CCT is not a court of law under our Constitution and cannot be invested with criminal or quasi-criminal jurisdiction.

Under Section 4 of the CCT Establishment Act, the Chairman and members of the CCT are appointees of the President unlike judges that are appointed by the National Judicial Council.

Therefore, CCT chairman and members are not JUDGES. Only the Chairman is expected to be a someone qualified to be a judge while the two members need not even be a lawyer.

So when Saraki was arraigned before the CCT and my APC friends dancing azonto as if he will be jailed the following week, I just laughed at them and pitied them for their ignorance.

Even Orubebe that the CCT indicted had his indictment quashed yesterday by the Appeal Court.

Methinks Buhari's men should get themselves educated on issues and stop wasting our time and resources on nothingness.

On Saraki's case, it was Presidency (Buhari) that arraigned Saraki before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (Controlled by the Presidency). The same Presidency (CCT) dismissed the case against Saraki and Presidency (which one this time) is kicking and itself... Nonsense!

My name is Lere Olayinka, I'm not a lawyer but I have common sense.

NIGERIAN INTELLECTUALS; THE REAL ENEMIES OF NIGERIA

By Charles Ogbu

Wednesday, 24 May 2017

World over, the development of any nation lies considerably on the shoulders of its intelligentsia. They are regarded as the gate-keepers of the cathedral of knowledge, the very conscience of the nation and the moral compass of the people. Politicians rule but only with the noble ideas and wise counsel of the intellectuals.

Sadly, in Nigeria, one "good thing" we can easily attribute to the Buhari presidency is that it has clearly exposed most of these so called intellectuals, religious leaders, human right activists, civil society groups and labour unions as nothing short of a congregation of intellectually fraudulent morally bankrupt horde of doubled faced idiots who only act according to the dictate of their stomach.

These ones are of a very distant relation with the term 'conscience'. They are not just part of Nigeria's problem. They are Nigeria's problem itself. They are guided by one rule and one rule alone and that is coins and gold. Their stomach is their guiding principle.

Buhari presidency has not only shattered the Buhari myths and exposed the Daura-born ex-soldier as a human disaster that he's always been, it has equally demystified these economic locusts and leeches masquerading as Nigerian intellectuals.

Have no fear for their high sounding grammar and meaningless rhetorics for they are men full of knowledge but devoid of wisdom. Their education is but an insult to common sense.

These shameless lots did not only lead the entire country into a bottomless pit that is Buhari, they have continued to wallow in their criminal silence and mindless hypocrisy while their Buhari and his fellow economic assassins have continued to subject the entire country to endless ridicule.

Not too long ago, the likes of Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana and Tunde Bakare had sworn they would save Nigeria or die trying. They threatened to open the gate of hell on the late Yar'Adua if he failed to disclose his health status. Fr Ejike Mbaka had left no one in doubt of his determination to be the moral compass of the whole country. He would wail louder than Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, each time boko haram bomb went off in any part of the country. Nigeria Labour Congree was ready to swear in the name of the many-faced god that it would protect the interest of Nigerian workers at all cost. Civil society groups would fume at the tiniest misdeed on the part of the then govt. The so called human right activists would quote sections even from sir Richard's constitution whenever the then govt appeared to have progressed in error.

Then enter Muhammadu Buhari, whom they all assured us, was the "Merlin" of Nigeria on whose shoulder the future of our own "Camelot" rests.

And who is Muhammadu Buhari?

Muhammadu Buhari is the Katsina state born ex-soldier who once committed treason against the Nigerian people by overthrowing the democratically elected govt of Shehu Shagari and Alex Ekwueme. This man did not not just truncate his country's democracy, he went further to demonstrate the worst form of bigotry when he locked up the then Vice president, an Igbo christian named Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri prison while he housed the president, Shehu Shagari, who is a Fulani Muslim like himself, in a cozy apartment inside the govt house in the name of house arrest. This over-ambitious soldier would then go on to rule the country like a "Darken Raul". Human right was thrown to the dogs. Freedom of speech be damned. He ruled with a loaded gun and a suspended constitution and even jailed most of these same intellectual wanna-bes.

Yet,

He failed woefully and only succeeded in taking the country back to the dark ages.

This is the same man these so called intellectuals swore was the best man to run a 21st century 2015 Nigeria even if he had just a bread label in place of certificate.

And now that this new 'Messiah', Buhari, has not only afflicted the country with new set of deadly ailments but has equally refused letting seasoned medical expert attend to her, you would think that these intellectual Wildlings would be calling for his head but then, you would have thought wrong.

The comparative literature Professor called Wole Soyinka is now deaf, dumb and blind which begs the question; Has The Man Died in Kongi?

Femi Falana no longer knows the law. This is the same Falana who once dragged Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to the ICC simply for releasing fund to the then NSA, Sambo Dasuki with the approval of the then President . Buhari has brazenly treated court orders with criminal contempt. The army has killed thousands of unarmed Nigerians mostly in Zaria, Onitsha and the Niger Delta region. IPOB have had their members pelted with bullets right inside a church while others were bathed with raw acid by the same army trained and equipped with tax payers money. But for Falana, Emeka Ngige and their fellow men of the Night wig, helping the death merchant, Buhari to rape our electoral Act by constituting themselves into 13 SANs to defend Buhari's certificate-lessness was more financially rewarding than holding him to account for his savagery against his own citizens.

For Pastor Tunde Bakare, injustice and bloodshed remain a 'No No' for him unless his very close friend, Governor Nasir Elrufire of Kaduna state is the one perpetrating the injustice and bloodshed against Southern Kaduna people. Apparently, the god of pastor Bakare is in love with El-rufai's own brand of bloodshed.

As for Father Mbaka the pigeon priest, his pigeons no longer fly. Their wings flew away with Jonathan. The Fulani herdsmen can now come into Mbaka's home and slaughter hundreds including a Seminarian and Mbaka would see no evil and hear no evil, just so he wouldn't ruin his friendship with his chosen one, Buhari.

Today, we have a ghost president who is only serving as a conduit through which some bunch of political terrorists have usurped and are wielding executive power illegally. Suddenly, we no longer want this president to disclose his health status as we asked of the late Yar'Adua. We have an acting president who cannot swear in newly appointed ministers. He bears the title of an acting president, yet, the real acting power is being exercised not by him but by the so called Cabal.

Ah!

Nigerians!

Go home. Mourn! And cover yourselves with ashes, for your country has since gone to the dogs.

When all this is gone, we will forget Buhari and his White-walkers but we will forever remember the criminal silence, the, lies, the deceit and the betrayal of these morally bankrupt men who deliberately brought this dangerous snake home and lied to us that it was a harmless rope.

History has a place for us all.

We don’t know who will sign 2017 budget – Lai Mohammed

Even with Professor Yemi Osinbajo in the saddle as Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidency is still confused about who would assent to the 2017 budget.

The same situation applies to the swearing-in of the two new Ministers-designate who had long been screened by the Senate.

Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said that the decision on who signs the Appropriation Bill into law would be decided when the document is finally transmitted to the Presidency.

“When it is transmitted to the Presidency, that decision will be taken”, he said.

He however said that an advanced copy of the budget has been received by the Minister of Budget and National Planning.

It will be recalled that President Buhari left the country on March 7 to attend to his health in London.

Fayose Explodes, Blasts DSS for Arresting Ifeanyi Ubah

Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose has condemned the DSS for arresting and detaining oil magnate Ifeanyi Ubah.

DSS claimed that it arrested and detained Ubah for inciting members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union to stop lifting petroleum products so as to cripple the economy.

In a statement released by his spokesman Lere Olayinka, he said the reason is “nonsensical."

“It is becoming obvious that if nothing is done to curb the lawlessness of the DSS, the agency will singlehandedly truncate democracy in the country," he said.

"If Ubah is being held for allegedly inciting members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union to stop lifting petroleum products, one day and very soon too, members of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) will be sent to jail for going on strike to agitate for their welfare,” the governor said.

According to him, Nigerians did not vote for change to be hounded by the DSS as it is being done since the emergence of this All Progressives Congress (APC) government. “That’s the same way the DSS arrested the former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswan in February and detained him until two days ago, claiming that he constituted security risk and failed to cooperate with investigators," he said.

“The other time too, this same DSS claimed that it uncovered plot by the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike to disrupt governance in strategic federal government agencies and one can begin to imagine if the DSS won’t one day accuse whoever that is perceived as opposing the APC-led government of coup plot.”

Speaking further, Fayose said; “Nigerians should be reminded that I raised alarm when this regime of impunity started with the invasion of the Akwa-Ibom State government house and later the Ekiti State House of Assembly. I did say then that democracy in Nigeria was becoming unsafe in the hands of this APC government and that those keeping silent because of politics might also end up in the belly of the roaring lion that was threatening to consume our democracy.

“Those who ought to have joined in condemning the DSS impunity at that time kept silent for fear of the unknown.

“Now it is Ifeanyi Ubah that they have visited with their tyranny, who knows who will be next?

“Well-meaning Nigerians and the international community must therefore raise their voice in condemnation of this regime of tyranny being ran be the DSS.”
