Why?

He did look at the girl’s hair lustfully though.
Maybe he knew he liked her but didn't want to end up being tempted by her. So he moved away.

You can raise awareness on moderation in dressing, but that should never be the focus.

Did you hear about the Edo girl that was raped in a church? Does a church look like a club or brothel? Yet she was raped

Safety measures are just safety measures, they don't solve sexual matters like this head-on
No one should ever feel that they have the right to rape....just because they were aroused. No one should be encouraged to feel its not their fault that they raped.....that the victim is to blame somehow.

It depends on upbringing and personal experiences a lot of times, many women-haters grew up with bad advice or had bad ordeals with some women.

The problem is that they used their experiences to guide every part of their reasoning
Yeah that is definitely the problem.

Yes, many societies form by belittling or restricting women - Nigeria, included.

I have seen enough of it on Nairaland alone grin
Yeah they just love to make women small. So many misogynists here.

I know places where guys wear undies that deliberately reveal their penis - in public.

Some just have a preference for briefs or tight underwear - it would be wrong to assume otherwise, but society does not find it showy

But a woman with barely visible cleavage is dragged and slut shamed - and is considered as showing too much
Guys even bathe in public. With no shame.

I think society just loves to control women.

nwaezeemmanuel:
Men have their fashion choices too, we only complain about women more because of social constructs and archaic exaggerations.

Just like how people try to justify rape with dressing blah blah blah...of course there is need for moderation in dressing.

You used the word 'condemned'...no society thrives under condemnation...we can say what is happening with SARS
Men that are always walking around in boxers. They want to be the only ones that can do what they like.

CelebritiesRe: Same Body, New Pose: How Women Change Their Figure In Seconds [photos] by purples25(f): 10:27pm On Oct 16, 2020
nwaezeemmanuel:
Exactly!

It's just like how men wear tighter clothes to look bigger - that's an optical illusion trick to look better (but nobody is lieing to your face)
Dunno why anyone would think a pic taken nicely is deceit. When you go out in real life, do you open your stomach for everyone to see it is big? Will a woman going out even in real life, not wear a bra, so that everyone can see the 'real' shape? Then why is it different with pictures? A picture is a memory of you. I wonder why people think someone will like to remember themselves with their pot belly and skin problems.

Even in the old days, people did not have their portraits drawn ugly. So what's the problem? Fake fake fake......people are just trying to look their best.
CelebritiesRe: Same Body, New Pose: How Women Change Their Figure In Seconds [photos] by purples25(f): 10:14pm On Oct 16, 2020
nwaezeemmanuel:
Oh, it's fine and normal

As long as you are comfortable in your own skin, you're good to go.

I take pictures and experiment with good angles, and that's coming from a guy grin
Yeah nobody flaunts their flaws in public, they take good pictures and hide those unsavory parts. As long as you don't lie about it, and i don't think anyone would make it their business except those close to you. You can tell those who matter to you the truth whenever they ask you.

As for the general public, I think it is a persons choice to say whether or not they posed in a certain way. Still, lies are unacceptable. Silence is better than lying that this is your real face or something.
