franciskaine: football is being played by humans and humans have feelings and blood flowing through them. No matter how you try to separate both, they are still interwoven.
FIFA cannot organize world tournaments if the world is at war. A global peace will enable football thrive and vice versa. Did you and fifa reasoned this way when Ozil was fined for showing solidarity to uighur Muslims? What about Celtic fans showing solidarity to Gaza people? What of Frederick Kanoute and Abu Terika of Egypt Ban? May be these set were not human being. |

seunmsg: I don’t have a problem with any religion because I don’t subscribe to any but I think when it comes to public service, we should de-emphasize religion and promote what can improve service delivery.
Will wearing hijab to school help the students learn better? Will wearing hijab help a policewoman do her job better? The only thing we’re going to achieve with this hijab thing is to further divide ourselves and promote religious bigotry. It adds nothing to improve the system. Will wearing hijab prevent student from learning and perform better? Will wearing hijab hinder women police from performing better? You think only you knows analogy |

He is indirectly saying Ukrainians have no right to defend themselves, just to criticize America, Israel et al... Some of you are are busy supporting the nonsensical post. [/quote)] OK talk about Iraq invasion. |

If you live in a society where scientists are heroes, little children dream to be scientists.... If you live in a society like Palestine where terrorists are seen as heroes, little children want to be heroes by throwing stones at the Israeli borders... In Lagos, touts, agberos, NURTW, MC Oluomo nd his boys were made heroes by Tinubu, now every boy in Lagos wants to grow up to be like agbero, hence entering cult from primary school is a normal thing.
And this same Tinubu is aspiring to lead Nigeria, Olorun maje.... You were making sense until you likened your thought with Palestine case then I could see that you just have a little sense. People were defending their soil and you called them terrorist? Well, I'm not surprised that your type think only Muslims were the citizen of Palestine. They have Christians and thee religions too and they were all working together to defend their country. Don't just write anything that doesn't make sense. |

Thelife: The same reason why a Christian can't organized a fellowship inside government owned islamic public school.
You guys should learn to call a spade a spade. Seriously, you can't be treating other people like a second class citizen in your own house and expect that same person to treat you like a king in his own house.
You guys keep saying government owned school up and down but you forget to say anything about how Christian are treated in government owned islamic public school too. How are Christian treated in government owned Islamic Schools? I know Ansaru Islam Secondary School not far from Mount Carmel College which I attended. The Christians in that school hold their fellowship without hindrance. They use a class. Meanwhile don't ask me why didn't they build church. We all know Christian denominations have their churches separate unlike majority of Muslims who are using same mosque. |

No sensible comments on page 1. I was expecting comments to focus on why Shell is divesting and other oil companies line up to invest. Who is getting it right or wrong? Which one is benefiting our economy or which would create more jobs?
Well, from my side, I think Shell divestment will lead to job loss for some people but new investment from other companies may open way for new entries. |

Freestainworld: How can a Christian school be made to accept something that is not within their faith, for crying out loud, before enrolling your child in the school, didn't you know that it was a Christian school? And a private school for that matter. Learn bro, it is not a private school. It is a government funded school and they have no right to discriminate except government issue such policy. In another way, they should reject admission of Muslim candidates and see if government would allow that. I attended Mount Carmel College, Ilorin and we were not allowed to build our mosque. Whenever we did, the school authority destroyed it. Later we complied and resort to use of canopy every Friday. This is a school dominated by 95% Muslim. How can government be funding a school that only attract 5% non Muslim admission while government is not capable to establish a sole school dedicated for Muslim? This is a case of resource management and coexistence among the people. |
