And yes, We men are not emotional like these ladies but I see a pattern here and it is hypocritical of Nairalnders to castigate her for feeling bad about it. My reason being a thread on Nairaland last month, where a guy was badly wounded for having and affair with his friend girlfriend. The point of discussion on that thread wasn't about sleeping with the lady but rather the act of betrayal (even if the case here is not up to that) between them. I do not know if I can still get the thread. That being said, many people would feel offended by that.

For this reason is why I said she should free both. She disappointed her but she should not kill her joy if she finds it in the said man.

However, she should be wary of such friend. If the said friend could play the game right from the very moment the started discussing the man's interest with her to the point the friend started badmouthing the guy just for her to have the guy, then one have to think well going forward concerning having such a friend in a matter that deals with money or organizational opportunities.

OP said nothing about her friend bad mouthing the guy. Besides I think OP is highly immature and a brat too with that mindset. Guys can recommend babes they don't find interesting to friends who might be a fit cuz we are logical and not emotional, why would I care someone is dating someone I don't find interest in. Unless OP was playing hard to get and had interest in the guy.

It all started like this.
On Sunday my wife wore a dress am uncomfortable with and which is unexpected of a married woman(I mean the gown was too short), when we came back from church I told her never to where such dress again to church she then picked offence that I always complain about her dress being too short, (My wife love skimpy dresses alot which I don't like) I was still talking she walked out on me went and stayed outside like someone who was chased out of the house, she stayed outside for about an hour and later came in and started dressing up to go for an evening program in church, I then told her not to go to anywhere in need us to talk, why I told her not to go is so we can settle the issues. She insisted that she must go that I can't stop her, I repeated my statement telling her not to go that I want us to talk she insisted on going. While she was about to leave I forcefully siezed the house keys from her and let her go, this happened around 5.30pm.
I love seeing my woman in short dresses but not wearing them to church.
On reaching the time she is expected to come back home around 7.30pm I left the house without dropping the house keys anywhere to a hotel and lodged there, she waited outside still around 10pm and sent me a text that do I want to sleep outside I did not reply her, she now called Me i picked and told her to go and sleep where she went to since she has the guts to disrespect mess her husband that am in a hotel at the moment to pass the night there and ended the call she called till 11pm and also sent text messages begging for forgiveness, she then called my younger brother who then called me too begging me to go back home I never picked her call and I switched off my phone.
I came back home around 5am only to discover that she slept on a bench in the veranda.
My people I want ask a question.
Don't I as a husband have the right to tell my wife not to dress certain way or don't I have the right to tell her not to go out, mind you am not the authoritative kind of husband but on this one I need to stamp my authority as the head of my family.
My wife is a good woman and I love so so much, I just needed to discipline her.
Our marriage is two months old.

If this story is real (I do not trust this OP), then the best thing you can do is to ex both of them. Forget all these people castigating you for feeling disappointed, many would even go physical or spiritual on such.

Although, you can not stop or determine who your friend dates, I must say your reaction towards this act of Betrayal is natural.

Imagine you and your friend discussing a lady you are building a rappor with, telling him how much you like her and she also feeling your vibe. Then your friend badmouthing the lady and convincing you how she is a slut? Only for the same guy to turn around and woo the said slut behind you? One would be disappointed for the reason that the friend is aware from the onset and the fact that one trusted him enough to even talk it out with him. That to me is the highest form of betrayal and such people would do worse to you if it comes to money or business opportunities.

That's not the best of friend one wants to keep around. Free them and let then enjoy their lives.

*And you too should stop your conservative mentality of waiting for men to chase you. People like me and others that I know would rather fight for a plate of rice that waste time chasing a lady.

Yes I had to end my friendship with my once very good friend because she saw nothing wrong in dating someone who used to be so interested in me, that I turned him down isn't enough reason for her to date him

There are so many other guys she can date and it shows the guy does not genuinely love her else he wouldn't have come for me in the first place.

I don't think it's cool for a close friend to go ahead and date someone who was once interested in her friend, its betrayal and also a sign that she doesn't know and respect boundaries and that's dangerous to me, such friends are not to be trusted. She can stab you at the back when you least expect.

Now she's telling people that I'm selfish and petty for having issues with her decision to date the so called guy. What do you think?
