BRF definitely! He's won awards around the world I also find Oshiomole very inspiring, not sure if he's popular but his poems! his poems!! |
this is actually hilarious lol. You ever heard of a boobjob? They're as cheap as £5000 now - save up and get one. But only after you know you've had all your children. |
To focus on the actual content of the interview: Has BH been completed defeated - GEJ says from the beginning we lacked weapons, so he is telling us that he used 6 years to source weapons? He also makes a very inflammatory statement claiming Nigerians cannot be fully shielded from terrorists, only in Nigeria smh Why has it taken so long: Our president says it's out of ignorance, and fails to answer the answer the question. GEJ insists he won't lose the election - which explains why his party is focused on the opposition and smear campaigns rather than facing his work. He fails to explain why he's failed to to curtail the insurgents till now? On whether he mishandled the situation - he says BH didn't start with him. I must mention here BH didn't kill 13000 people and kidnap over 500 under any other president. Whether they started 50 years ago they had no leg until GEJ arrived. On corruption he insists it's blown out of proportion and continues to emphasize stealing KMT!! He demonstrates his ignorance by claiming because the budget is only $20billion dollars so we cannot lose $49bn. Refusing to acknowledge the fact that the allegation refers to money that is not making it's way into the budget. Two CBN governors have explained this in detail so we can all agree this is a problem. I'm disappointed the interviewer didn't ask the right questions, the president deserves a grilling, but for the sake of being Nigerian I will discourage GEJ from interviews as the man is truly an embarrassment. |
Its appropriate when the president is a tout and commands no respect. If she were meeting GMB a mere elect she wouldn't dare. |
Did they have to kill them? Meanwhile the real criminals occupy Aso rock and get pardoned and paid for their activities. |
erico2k2:I highly doubt the station ran out of fuel. More like those pumps are out of service its not uncommon for that to happen |
erico2k2:There's only soo much fuel you can consume locally, besides its probably more worthwhile to export than sell domestically. Good pricing regulation will ensure Nigerians get the best fuel deals and we still maintain adequate income exporting. |
Reference:Subsidy where? In Nigeria? Subsidy is no longer paid. So subsidy cannot be used as an excuse for oil being scarce in the market. Theres plenty of taxes on the fuel we purchase here, if anything the taxes are the reason fuel prices are higher than in Nigeria. I will assume the main reason is the fact that Nigeria does not refine enough oil, the export price will be of no consequence if we didn't need to import fuel. Another reason why devaluation was a bad idea - it now costs more to buy the fuel than you will make trying to sell it. Even in the face of NNPCs dodgy swap deals. |
erico2k2:you are having a laugh and a joke at the same time? UK where? Please go and sit down somewhere. Where have you ever heard of long queues for fuel at ridiculous prices? in a 2mile radius of where I live there are over 7 stations that I know of from the top of my head (meaning there is probably more that I don't) most are 24hrs and they dont even close on Sundays. Prices of fuel are tightly regulated and we're not faced with having to go to one black market or the other for fuel. In a country with adequate supply how will any marketer hold the population to ransom? Please gerrout. |
On an unrelated note - whats the Nigerian attitude towards diesel? Do people like it? Is diesel also affected during fuel scarcity? is it cheaper or more expensive back home? |
Mogidi:I live in a country that doesn't produce a fraction of the oil Nigeria produces - yet I have never waited more than 10minutes at the plethora of stations available to me neither has the cost deviated to that extent for the past 5 years. The spade you should be calling GEJ is a nimwit, whether fuel scarcity happens daily or on occasion the recurrence is ridiculous in its entirety. It's a result of having a clueless govenment that feel no sense of responsibility to the citizens they govern. Stop praising mediocrity and demand your government deliver, this isn't acceptable anywhere outside of Nigeria why are you taking it? |
RALPHOW:5 ke? intervals of 20mins are lore likely for long distance trains. during peak times trains from Woolwich (DLR which is slower) pass every 2-3mins By the time this useless train gets from Lagos to Ibadan i could have traveled the breadth of London on it's longest line 5 times. Don't mind them - with the current leadership they will get to even Marrakechs transport status by the year 20nevergoingtohappen |
Realdeals:very good question with how often do these trains even run how many people use these trains to commute (to school or work) how many companies use the tracks for logistics? |
are you minding her? her counterparts abroad earn millions of $$s per movie how much is she earning?? She shouldn't worry someone will grant her wish soon - her enemy will die from a preventable and treatable disease in the hands of the Nigerian health system and will then have indeed died because of pdp. kmt oloshi ashawo 10kobo weray alainikanshe dandani mumu ode oshii |
dafuturis:is this true? Is there an alternate source this link doesn't work |
I'm no expert in road mechanics, but for dips that deep shouldn't there at least be paving at the edges of the road? What is stopping large vehicles such as these from falling into gutters? |
I think he does this enlightening article from the Punch suggests; There is a strong indication that the United Kingdom is withholding intelligence information as regard the more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram since April 14, 2014.http://www.punchng.com/news/releasing-chibok-girls-informationll-damage-ties-with-nigeria-uk/ |
This is how he danced after people were massacred in Abuja under his nose. He danced when he chibok girls were kidnapped Now he's dancing when people have just died in bauchi. He views Nigerians with contempt. Anyone who supports this man supports a poverty stricken nation. |
Nobody is wondering why the president hasn't made all these moves in the 6 yrs BH have been tormenting Nigerians ![]() ![]() ![]() |
barcanista:I have no knowledge on the parts Governors had to play in this matter but if they indeed supported the removal it was a wise decision (though their intentions are another matter). However the FG remain responsible for unnecessarily hiking the prices of petroleum, the discussion has already been had that the hiking made no sense especially given Nigeria refines a fair amount of fuel used domestically. The FG have nowhere to run in this matter NNPC is not a state institution and they should come and tell us about what has been happening. barcanista:You keep harping on as if APC hold majority shares in Nigerian matters, the FG face lawsuits everyday you can look for yourself, I've never heard of them doling out money before. Clearly there are ulterior motives. Again NOI told us this money was already invested - how did they manage to distribute this money if that was the case? barcanista:Jonathan is 100% responsible for the unforgivable pardon - In any other country this will be grounds for impeachment. barcanista:This isn't true - the books should be published without an FOI request. barcanista:Jonathan and Yaradua rejected Buhari's many calls to a debate before, do your principles only apply to the opposition? barcanista:Your links didn't quote him directly and I won't really call them credible. I will search on this myself. Amnesty for terrorists is wrong - GEJ is guilty of dolling out funds to known militants who now openly support him. |
no ![]() |
But Barcanista - this only further fuels the idea that GEJ is unable to take responsibility for his governance. What is the purpose of a president that is unable to control his subordinates? 1. Fuel subsidy removal was a good idea, the subsequent price increase was not. Calculations were done by a number of parties and it was agreed removing the subsidy shouldn't have led to a price hike. Whether or not APC/PDP voted for this move the FG and NNPC are responsible for imposing further and unnecessary hardship on Nigerians in the wake of this scandal. You cannot with one breath claim you are unable to support subsidy and at the same time claim you cannot enforce retailers to sell at NNPC rates which is exactly what Alison and GEJ were trying to tell us. Are APC responsible for the fact GEJs government was paying 600x the amount in subsidies that OBJs government paid? Is APC responsible for the refusal of NNPC to adhere to Yaradua's command that subsidy no longer be paid to the greedy petrol retailers? If GEJ is incapable of calling order to his cabinet then he doesn't deserve to be in his position, you do him no favours calling attention to his ineptitude. Did APC order the killing of civilians during the protest? Was it APC members of the house that refused to protect civilians against manslaughter by enforcement agencies? 2. Crude Account depletion is a topic I am very curious about -What exactly have been the FG's plans on saving in the event of oil crashes and global money crisis? I will assume reserves such as the ECA exists solely for this purpose? Otherwise if the money is to be shared between governments a sensible finance minister and her president will suggest how exactly this money is to be spent and sign off on any proposed projects. Of course I understand neither the finance minister here or the President have any sense. Instead they can blame Governors, if they refused to pay what will happen? NOI even assured us with that her igbo mouth that the money has been placed in all sorts of funds and investments and what nots - I know the government won't be able to immediately cash in if the funds were indeed invested. So the only logical conclusion is that she lied. She's a liar like her boss. Thankfully they knew the Governors will only steal the money otherwise Nigerians will have faced one hell of an inflation crisis - $20bn into an economy like Nigerias with no suitable plan? That can only lead to catastrophic effects, we must thank the governors for funnelling this money abroad. We need strong leadership, at least a leader that will say no! 3. CHIEF ALAMESIEGHA (how do you pronounce this surname sef?) I won't take this nonsense - the pardon of this man is and forever will be a complete embarrassment to all Nigerians. NOBODY DICTATES TO A PRESIDENT WHO TO PARDON, this is one thing GEJ cannot push on anyone. It is called a presidential pardon and only he has the power to issue this, it Vetoes law and order and should only ever be used with due care. Clearly GEJ also benefited from this mans criminal activities. APC indeed. 4. I'm not sure what books you've been seeing I haven't had the privilege, for example we are still unable to see the nature of contracts issued by the NDDC. I cannot for the life of me find credible documentation regarding our tax income. We are still unable to see the audit report on the NNPC, we remain unprivy to the shady accounting of both NPA and NNPC and Jonathan still hasn't declared his assets and expenditure. Abeg where did the idea GEJ is running a transparent leadership come from? I will also like to see a financial breakdown of the loan received by Lagos - the FG shouldn't be signing off on loans of this nature without it. The FG is busy signing your life and future away and you are encouraging their folly. 5. The issue of debate is not imperative to the future of Nigeria, refrain from this nonsense. 5. Amnesty to terrorists is a terrible idea - it will be nice of you to quote credible sources so we are assured. But I believe the General made his stance known on terrorism and corruption. However GEJ remains telling us stealing is not corruption and resorts to paying off militants. I think we can conclude where each of these men stand. |
If mass redundancies are planned the private sector should do it now and let people know the true outcome of the current government |
I agree - although it seems as if INEC weren't really prepared the postponement will allow PDP to plan their anticipated rigging. As it stood initially with so few people collecting PVCs southside (likely because they have more important things to do) APC may have won just due to that. They may very well lose and Nigerians can look forward to another 4 years of hell, but I don't think the progressives of Nigeria should lose hope. APC have fought a good fight and with good candidates they can win the next one and Nigeria can look forward to better times and a less corrupt government. |
ah ah - kilode? Na only you waka come ni? Don't kill yourself I beg you, another girl will love you better than the last one. Now please refrain from posting in the politics section this close to the election otherwise someone will help you with your wish ![]() |
Obiagelli:It's a bad habit to maintain unnecessary dialogue with your opponents, smear campaigning intentionally tries to draw away focus from the positive moves you make. I don't blame them for not directly responding but it will have helped - though I'm sure Fayose will have found something else to say. Like Ayedee suggesting Buhari bribed Chatham house to host him. I haven't seen a branch of government look more like a bunch of circus clowns! |
TheOtherview:Now I know you're intentionally winding me up. Does anybody else have direct quotes from APC on this photograph issue? |
Just seeing this: kaboninc:I'm getting very tired of doing this, please where exactly in the manifesto have APC made these promises? I've read many manifestos, I can't memorise all of them. kaboninc:I'll pull out the big guns for this one - I will like to say I have been exposed to political systems more sophisticated than the Nigerian one. It is not yesterdays knowledge that parties are unwilling to expose exactly how they intend to fund certain guarantees before elections. As everyone knows, the incumbent government can copy this model, or immediately debunk it as they have the knowledge you as the opposition dont. It can also lead to candidates losing voters in case they will have to introduce additional tax. Now if you are unaware of this then that is your problem - this is an intelligent campaign strategy that may be above and beyond your level of understanding. |
Obiagelli:It also annoys me that the statement wasn't just issued directly to the public, I will understand that APC cannot spend time debunking myths especially when the origin is from people like Fayose or FFK. Here is the Thisday post http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/buhari-to-speak-on-economy-insecurity-at-chatham-house/202589/ They've edited it a few times so it's different from the original article - but again the only mention made of Kemi's Tv programme is from FFK, as far as I can see FFK and Fayose have been arguing with themselves. The argument has now come away from whether or not he did a talk at Chatham house to the photographs being evidence he was in hospital. |
TheOtherview:So local tv station = Kemi Fadojutimi All eyes on Africa television programme? Is this a Yoruba or Hausa translation of the English language? |
TheOtherview:DOES KEMI FADOJUTIMI OWN A LOCAL TELEVISION STATION IN LONDON?? IS HERS THE ONLY LOCAL TV STATION IN LONDON? DID HE SAY HER NAME?? DID HE SPECIFICALLY SAY HERS WAS THE INTERVIEW HE HAD? AS I ASKED BEFORE HOW DID YOU TAKE 1 AND 1 AND MAKE IT 222? He said pictures don't lie, and listed a number of the Generals activities, he shouldn't have to apologise for Nigerians not being able to comprehend. |
