masseratti:God bless you! It wasn't even made known in the publications that Deepthroat was in the FBI! Sources quoted were anonymous! |
maestroferddi:What are you talking about? Do you know the number of officials that went to prison for watergate? Nixon himself would have gone to jail if not for the dimwit that pardoned him. Move to the side with your nonsense! The scandal was 100% partisian, all actions taken by Nixon and his band of criminals were with intent to retain their place in the white house. |
Lobeez:don't mind him! We're talking 30 minutes of rain and he's pulling up the aftermath of a hurricane. kmt |
berem:Tell me what is the purpose of a government taking a portion of your salary and running the scene if not to solve these problems? What purpose does the Government serve? If Lagosians are to clear their own gutters, create their own drainage systems and do their own flood control despite the fact that most of them are poor, tell me what we leave the government to do? Next we'll be asking them to build their own roads, trains trams and schools. People are throwing rubbish in the gutter because there is nowhere else to throw them, how well is waste managed in Lagos? Jingles do not enforce rules, you'll probably be more successful using jingles for a band of apes. Looking at the extent of the flooding, refuse doesn't seem like the problem - it looks more like a nearby waterway has overfilled into these areas. |
berem:Well then Fashola has fallen short, this should have been top priority on his transformation agenda, not only is this unsightly, it's expensive and it's also dangerous, this is how diseases spread. The buildings also present a hazard if water is seeping into the structure. |
aresa:Are you being intentionally contentious here? Do the residents of New York experience regular flooding? Please go and tell this to the makers of flood barriers. |
Out of curiosity, is GEJ's certificate in the public domain? Why should he show any of you his certificate? It's the duty of INEC to clear him and they have done so? |
Kola4uniadgog:I would like to know the benchmark you've used to measure his performance? You've frequently used the term many so I hope you understand this does not mean most? There is alot more strain on Lagos's infrastructure than any other state in Nigeria, that place defines overpopulation. I don't know why you've decided to compare a state governor with a nations president here, I also don't know why Fashola didn't complete the rail metro but we cannot in anyway compare the current works in Lagos with the scam GEJ has presented as a railway line (a project that he didn't even start to begin with). Please, enough with the GEJ descriptions of thievery, corruption is corruption and it's inexcusable in any government. Just to address the point you made, revenue shared is not revenue accumulated - budgets are prepared against forecasts which are actually (and I assume intentionally) under reported in Nigeria. If I remember correctly GEJ was in the habit of pardoning criminals, why should they waste their time prosecuting them? Who is controlling who? |
TheOtherview:Just watched this, he did not say Buhari was interviewed my Kemi or was on her all eyes on Africa program, he said Buhari was interviewed at a local TV station. Does Kemi own a local TV station in London? Is hers the only Local TV station in the country? How exactly have you used 1 and 1 to arrive at 210? |
janus05:Lagos is the richest Nigerian state? I can't say if Fashola is a saint, but he sure has shamed his counterparts and predecessors. |
dealslip:I'm 100% with you on this! Fashola is the only reason I pay any sort of attention to the party, because he demonstrated that work can be done if the Government was committed to doing it. Osinbanjo said in an interview that APC governments have been the best performers, I can't really comment on this much but I do hear Adams Oshiomole also performed well in he face of limited resources and an opposition federal government. I do agree that Buhari is surrounded by untrustworthy individuals and political godfather's but I still think he is the best option, why? Because Nigerians need to send the message that incumbents can be removed if they refuse to perform. Allowing GEJ to complete a 2nd term will only reinforce the idea that Nigerians support poor and corrupt governance. To the comment of his age pls tell me, do you prefer a young thief or an old man of principles? We shouldn't confuse propaganda for facts, all this hard work you mention, none of this is being done by young hale and hearty incumbents, so age can easily be removed from the factors that supposedly impede his abilty to rule. Good management of Nigeria is clearly not that important since we haven't seen good management since the country was established, its been one reign of misfits to another. We can't expect anything from GEJ he has already showed us what he's capable of which is absolutely nothing. |
TheOtherview:Thank you!! I'll listen during break time. Also do you have a source of where he released these photographs and claimed they are from this interview? |
TheOtherview:So what you are saying is that there is indeed no evidence of Shehu making those statements? On the whole of this WWW? We can conclude that he didn't then. Like a sensible being would. Also I've read from many of the more reliable Nigerian publications the statement issued by the campaign spokesperson and the only mention of Kemi Fadojuti is those made by Femi Fani Kayode and Fayose. No mention of any of this on APCS website or twitter feeds? |
TheOtherview:For the life of me I've been looking for this source and cannot find it. Please post the link here so we can all see. I understand it doesn't paint GMB in a good light but we should be exposed to the truth and make a habit of using it to make decisions. It wouldn't even make sense for APC to do a meeting with Tony Blair and talk at Chatham House then lie about some local interview. He has already been interviewed on AlJazeera, he doesn't need to pretend he has strong international support. |
TheOtherview:Change agents being the official APC spokesperson? The press release made no mention of this purported interview, Buhari has in fact held a meeting with a member of the political establishment as mentioned and he is also scheduled to give a talk at Chatham House tomorrow. Please tell me which argument exactly these Tanoids have won? Please direct me to where exactly APC have embellished the truth in this matter? The press release you have pasted is proven 100% factual. |
I have a question, actually I have a million questions but none of them are relevant to the topic. I want to know why the judiciary in Nigeria is soo poor and what steps his government plan to take to ensure this is turned around as soon as possible. I also want to know if there's a chance his government will review immunity given to politicians for criminal cases, its unreasonable. Only the president should have this. |
What previously eluded me has now become glaringly obvious. Nigerians are daft, and its a generalization I stand by, also the reason the government is occupied by pigs while the poverty stricken nation tag along like daft and helpless sheep. Here we have a madman that is clearly on a rampage with some sort of vendetta, his objectives are clearly ones that will only benefit him, yet instead of this man to addressed and redressed to conduct himself like a representative of a responsible government he is being encouraged. APC have a website, a spokesperson and frequently address the public on ongoing events and activities, they also have twitter and a Facebook page. No where in any of these sites have they posted thus photograph and claimed this meeting took place on London. The original newspaper that apparently printed this is nowhere to be found and Linda Ikejis site is a gossip blog, not where one will go to ascertain facts. Instead of you to follow common sense and understand Fayose has created an argument with himself, you are regurgitating information which has already been proven untrue, and allowing this senseless goat of a man to continue his spree of nonsense. I mean by all means continue, don't let me stop you. But its embarrassing to behold, ignorant morons plaguing the office of the last Prime Minister for information they already have from a photo. Imagine what we seem like to outsiders! Kmt. |
OK, I think Fayose is jobless, he probably doesn't know what he needs to do. Pls pass the message; 1 our main source of income is through farming, we need advanced techniques to help our farmers grow for domestic and commercial purposes. Please make suitable arrangements to train our farmers on this. 2 Our women trade regularly, we need access to wholesale buyers of agricultural products, ideally a large carrier should attend each towns farm areas to pick these up directly and relieve the markets 3 storage is a problem for everyone in Nigeria, we need warehouses close to each farming locations with the right temperature and chemical regulations to help our products last through unfriendly seasons. 4 we often suffer from petroleum shortages, we need active petrol stations in all towns and local governments. 5. Transport is atrocious, we need large state funded buses to transport students and traders at reasonable prices. No more of these ghetto vehicles that are unroadworthy carrying our children to school. 6 water, we need you to work harder to ensure water is available - its ridiculous that this isn't the case. 7. Streetlights, Mr man it is not only the roads leading up to your estate in Ado that needs streetlights, spread em. 8. Education is a shambles - revamp it immediately. Please visit model schools in adjacent states to see how this should happen. 9. Waste disposal, we need to focus on public health, the people deserve suitable meph infrastructure. Make it happen. 10. We would appreciate you stop harassing your opponents and spend the time arresting real criminals 11. Back to healthcare, the best hospitals in Ekiti are federal ones which I understand are very expensive, invest in solid state funded healthcare and develop primary healthcare initiatives, I'd hate that women are relying on churches to deliver their babies. 12. Electricity, need I say more? Fashola built power stations, what have you built? 13. Ikogosi is a gold mine - take a good look at Yankari, Thermae Bath Spa, Grjotagja, find investors, make it happen. I'm sure those on ground have more to add, please help me out once we've finished we can put it on the front page of a newspaper so he can see it clearly. |
davidstones:APC have official twitter handles and spokespersons from what I understand, none of these are the source of the soo called doctored photographs, how can we accuse them of a lie they didn't tell? We can't hold the party accountable to Nigeria's shoddy journalism. And if you are visiting Linda ikejis blog expecting to find credible information I am sorry for you. I find myself having to check recheck, and double check anything I read coming from Nigerian sources. |
lwise:You are wicked loool |
davidstones:Given the short notice I assume this particular event is considered high risk, he's a presidential candidate after all. High profile individual, they probably can't broadcast his movements too early. I am disappointed though it will have been nice to attend. Please direct me to the APC and buhari handlers that have posted doctored photographs. For the life of me I've been looking and I'm yet to find one. @post the topic is a good one, but democracy doesn't seem to be Africa's problem. Our problem is corruption, mismanagement, lack of transperancy and it will be better to hear ideas on how we can address that as a continent. I'll be following with hawk eyes though! |
Faibuhari:Inec have no excuse, they've had years to prepare what have they been doing? You don't pat organisations on the back for not performing. Gosh we're in desperate need of establishing standards! |
You guys are so silly, Where is the evidence that Buhari WASN'T in the UK on business? Given the climate of Nigerias medical system any opportunity to visit a doctor outside of he UK should be taken if one values his or her life and health. Buhari visiting a hospital doesn't mean he's sick or dying of anything. Don't be stupid and stop listening to Fayose who is by far the one in need of specialist medical treatment for his apparent psychosis. Back to the story the first tweet by mrayedee is an unsubstantiated claim with no evidence of truth. The second tweet is pasted is by Saraki showing a photograph of Buhari with Tony Blair, one we haven't seen before, the only evidence I need. The blog then argued its not true because some Nigerian newspaper printed that he didn't attend the meetings scheduled, even if that were true, we still have a photograph here with TB! And there is no law saying he has to go anywhere. Apparently the photo is old because Buhari isn't wearing a Jacket. Nonsense and rubbish, there is no law in the UK saying you must wear a jacket. I'm not wearing one, its not as cold as it was in December its not necessary. There's also screenshots of further speculation made by the ever so unreliable Nigerian media, let's create a rule of thumb here - if it wasn't officially released by nominated speakers of APC, don't waste your time speculating. You can't claim APC lied about something they never said. The rest of the screenshots are complete nonsense. I'm not aware of APC announcing he was to attend this TV show. That being said I will like to know where his Chatham house issue came up, did APC mention this in an official statement? Or was this more Nigerian media cookery? |
This reminds me of when Jonathan spent $1.2 million on PR following the chibok girls crisis. Money that should have been spent finding and rescuing hose girls. And he hired a US firm that has nothing to do with Nigeria meaning they could care less about what Nigerians think or do and are only worried about foreign relations. Seriously these band of animals don't have Nigeria at heart, and people support them!!! Someone ask Senator Koro where he found the money to pay this foreign lawfirm who only seem able to write letters. A letter which by my understanding has no basis since Sahara cunningly hired a third party to analyze the tape before releasing it. All they need to do now is sit back and continue to report on the same story and the C&D becomes a waste of time and the paper it's written on! They think its Nigeria where they can treat people like goats and pat them on the back. Since they don't know any better. |
Hey! They should have taken a better photo! Please where is Fayose and his dribbling mouth - need to call this to his attention. Foolish man |
Unique3:The only essence I can capture here is that of settling. You are right I don't understand it. Much as I don't understand why women put up with so much. What do I know i'm only ever expecting a partner to be fascinating as opposed to being a dude I yolk myself upon then spend my life trying to make it work. |
As black as the congregation of Jews in the synagogue down my street. Black indeed. Dunno how many blacks you find jordan |
Ujujoan:Doesn't sound like a great deal. Then again to each his own. Let me guess, there's a huge age difference in play? |
kandiikane:100% with you on this!!! I know! Naija elections are vamping so the passion is back! |
tolustx:Actually the Osun elections followed the Ekiti one, and the only reason they were unsuccessful is because the Captain leaked the tape to the opposition prior to those elections taking place. It's all in the interview. There is evidence PDP camps started their illegal process by putting one of the military heads on compulsory leave, if you have the word of the soldiers from other states please post it here so we can see. and I will hope trouble makers are intimidated that is the point of the uniform after all - or were there riots in Osun following the elections? |
kandiikane:same kandi? how u doing girl! thank you for this! im soo disappointed! if he had posted a photo of his dad doing the same we wouldnt be hearing such nonsense - this is the same man that is being praised in every corner, immortalized in Nigerian culture and at the same time has committed more offences than the devil himself! |
tolustx:it worries me - what is the purpose of a legislature when we make no moves to follow it. The military can just be there to intimidate trouble makers (just standing around and doing absolutely nothing) - but they have no business policing the process - we've all heard how they were used to rig the elections in Ekiti, arresting people up and down and beating old men. It's not right |
